This is a pirate themed RPG / strategy unlike any other. One part Civilization, one part Ancient Art of War, one part Monkey Island, S&S Pirates sees you control one of ten famous sea captains, compete for islands, build ships, fight battles on land and sea, duel in arenas and on masts, search for treasure and try to avoid mutinous crews on your quest to gain control of Tritonia's massive oceans.
Swords and Sandals Pirates is by far the biggest and most tactical of all the S&S games. For fans of 2008's S&S Crusader, you'll love this spiritual sequel to the classic wargame. For newcomers to the series or fans of pirate games in general, you'll find this game sometimes fun, sometimes hilarious, sometimes challenging bout always infinitely replayable!
What are you waiting for? Your ship is waiting for you, the time has come to lay your claim to the Four Oceans and become the greatest pirate captain of all.
Game features:
* Choose from one of 10 famous captains from Swords and Snadals history, including heroes like Belgrave and Wolfgang and villains such as HeChaos and Antares!
* Sail a top down ocean with over 50 islands, brimming with secrets, angry natives, treasures to discover and adventures to be had
* Navigate whirlpools, dangerous storms, seductive mermaids and more as you cross the vast four oceans of Tritonia.
* Build and upgrade your ship's sails, cannons, hull armour and more as you construct a galleon to strike fear into your enemies
* Forage, fish, mine, even dig for treasure as you search for valuable resources to fuel your faction
* Fight tactical squad battles with a crew of up to 50 sailors. Cast powerful magics to heal your crew or call lightning down upon foes
* Turn based ship to ship combat - blast your foes with cannons or attempt to board their ship and seize control
* Gladiator style dueling in arenas and on ships as you do battle against enemy captains in turn based combat
* Fight giant monsters on land and at sea, legendary creatures such as the Dragon Turtle and the Great Kong.
* Over 50 Choose your own adventure style mini quests, from fleeing cannibals to getting into tavern * brawls with drunken sailors
* A Swords and Sandals IV style awards ceremony at the end of the game will decide the pirate worthy of winning the war!
* Survival mode - take on each enemy faction one at a time in a special, winner takes all battle royale!
PLEASE NOTE:
The game is free to download, but play will end after the sun sets on the fifth day of in-game play. To make it all the way to pirate council, you can purchase IAP Maximus Mode IAP.
There is also an Ultratus Mode IAP which allows you to unlock the Survival and Custom game modes, as well as play as the three evil villains of the game, Olaf, HeChaos and Antares!

many bugs including balance issues like how i don't get resources from won battles and time is to fast and upgrades to expensive. fix your game chieftains should not one shot your captain

The other Swords and Sandals were my chilhood,and I loved everything about it.Now with this,you made everything that the old games had even more interesting.Thank you for making this game and good luck with SoS 5.And also thanks to Mr Falcon (youtuber)for letting me know this game exist.

dont mind it but it get tedious pretty quick and is in need of a new update (also trust me while quite fun its not worth anything near the price i payed to upgrade to maximus)

The grandest pirate adventure of all! Nothing else like it on Google Play, many hours of seafaring and swashbuckling to be had.

This game deserves a zero. I purchsed this game thinking it must work because the demo did. It has so many lags and i would just my money back.

I like it but there too many bugs when i lose and get on island my ship disapper i try to quit and return but still my ship is not there and i got far in the game this really let me hate this game

To be honest.I have a great time playing the past sword and sandals games.But this does not feel like a sword and sandals game.I play these game so I can beat or slash my opponent into a bloody pulp.Because it was fun to do.This game does not remind me of the arm ripping or head decapitation.

So I'm enjoying game but continue to experience crashes durning sieges and ship battles making so I cant play through a whole game... paid for full game before noticing this issue

surprised as this has potential to be a very decent game. purchased ultratus just to help support. only bug I noticed is when I back out of the app, when I return to the app the screen is blue and I have to completely restart the app again.

It's a brilliant game that greatly expands the S&A universe. Not too complex, but not too simple either - somewhere in the middle, which makes it a perfect mobile strategy game.

Well for starters there was no directions whatsoever, once i figured it out it was somewhat enjoyable (as long as my 4g was off) then it decided i must purchase dumb a** max edition and force closed itself repeatedly. On top of that FTS

I personally love this game but I believe the roll system is broken because I have gone on adventures at least 20 times and all was less than 10, mostly 5s and 2s.

Love the world building and gameplay, just wish there was an endless mode so you'd be able to take your time and really get into a campaign without a timer looming in the background.

Tedious, short, pretty awful game, unreadable text on a phone. Sure there things to click, few options but doesn't translate well to mobile devices. Short game as well.

The games ok but it's definitely not good enough to have to pay to play for longer than 50 in game days maybe if you needed to pay to do certain things or for certain captains maybe but it's not good enough to do what it's doing.

Amazing game so similar to Crusader and thats why i love it, any chance of Crusader coming to app store? really hoping it comes along, have bought every S&S game im very loyal to this series and have been for years. I honestly really hope Crusader comes to the app store, or something similar again to Pirates and Crusader, Great work Whiskey Barrel, never fail to make an amazing game, you never fail to impress. UPDATE: Should make a conquer the realm mode

Swords and sandals is one of those games that seems like it's been around forever and yet the Whiskey Barrel guys seem to keep finding new ways to expand the world. Looking forward to spending too many hours playing through this, multiple times!

I was at first very interested in this game, however after playing it for several weeks now, I'll questioning whether the developers played it themselves... Firstly, it is incredibly hard to receive all upgrades for your ship, even if you were to do 50 days and own 25 islands. Secondly, perma-death should work for all captains, countless times I defeated the same captain in battle just to then face them again...there are other issues the game has but I'm restricted to 500 words. 3 stars

This game is really fun. Just one feature that irritates me a bit. I can only play up to 50 in-game days. When I bought the ultratus version, I expected to be able to play a little longer. I wanted to explore the whole map after developing the cluster of islands near my first island. I'm not sure how many in game days is enough for me. 200? Am not sure. Would love to be able to kill all the sentinels and deep sea monsters. But I need to upgrade my ship and crews first. 50 days is not enough time
