Definitely an awesome game concept which has stood the test of time. I don't know why anybody would think it's a good idea to have tournaments where you face opponents that are way stronger than you and are sometimes almost double your power level?? Oh I should mention I'm playing on the normal difficulty setting too. Highest I've ever gotten is a LVL 36 gladiator before the game becomes unplayable/unpleasant. Facing opponents that can 1hit crit you and fully heal themselves becomes tedious.

This game is real bad 1. You have to pay after you beat two of the bosses 2. The redux graphics are bad (note you can change the graphics into the classic style in the option if you pay for the game). 3. The auto balancing is really bad, it makes the game almost unbeatble (this is one of the biggest problems with the game). 4. It's so buggy, the flash game wasn't as buggy as this game. Overall it's not a bad start, it's just not polished.

Pros: Nostalgia Easy game to pick up and play for a little or a lot Graphics look great Very responsive and easy on battery Cons: The difficulty scaling seems unfair at times and because of that it feels like many builds are unplayable or very weak Some UI elements, such as checking your own equipment in shoppes seems clunky Verdict: It's fun to play casually but Id rather buy the flash version than buy anything for this one, especially if you've already played the flash version.

This game needs some balancing. I have had several gladiators that are stuck very early on that keep dying in the tournaments. I level up past the required in the tournament, then the Gladiators I fight are way too powerful to reliably beat, and it's hard to get better weapons and Armour, and I continuously die, unable to progress. Opponents also block my attacks much more than I can block them, despite me having Superior weapons and Armour. I then die from people with cutpurse Armour.

You can miss a 99% attack chance 4 times in a row, and enemies can revive on a 4% chance 4 times in a row. Yes, this really happened and it's common. Despite chances being attached to attacks and events and those chances being influenced by skills, they are entirely random and there is no functional way to increase or decrease their chance, despite what the game tells you.

I love the game, but I'm still getting ads even after buying the full game. Like not even the optional ads when you want money or potions, after some battles it gives me ads. I reinstalled the game after buying, same thing. This is annoying enough for me to give it 2 stars, even though the nostalgic gameplay is easily worth 5.

Absolutely fantastic game to revisit and replay! Extremely nostalgic and plenty of quality of life improvments! For people having a hard time, try a pure Charisma build, kinda based off chance (1/5 to damage) but end game dealing 2K damage that can't be resisted is broken as all hell, with easy money for the best armor. Still funny to scream people to death though!

The original is obviously dated and has its flaws but is a masterpiece in the way it allows you to combine thought and strategy to overcome hard arena challenges. This version however is different, it's severely limited in what you can do to strategize around different foes and opponents in the beginning and comes down mainly to RNG, you will either hit and be successful or you'll miss and block and won't be. The removed ability to switch between ranged and mellee weapons in a duel is absurd

The game itself is fun and nice to play. Only thing is that the fights before the boss are VERY unbalanced.. I keep fighting gladiator of the same level but every stat is at least 15 points higher than mine. Also it would be nice to see a "cancel" button when pressing the jump move. I sometimes press it on accident but then i cannot cancel it. Also sometimes i die in the fight but then i respawn because of one of the abilities. But then after i win it i still die and have to start over again.

The original is a good classic game. The Redux changes some things (maybe for the better) and improves on a few things, but it fails on a lot of things. First of all, the new graphics are bad and unnecessary. They DON'T improve anything. They just have a different art-style, and give a worse, different vibe to the game. And the classic graphics on the Ultratus Edition are unnecessarily CROPPED (most visibly the town). Furthermore, the game has heaps of bug and glitches that break the game.

I love this series to death, this game is really fun and nostalgic but there's a lot of bugs in it that kind of ruin the experience for me. When you defeat people most of the time they will just stand still, your character wouldn't do the victory dance thing the enemy who just died does and sometimes the game won't let you attack the bubbles won't appear at all. Other than those bugs I love this game

Not sure if anyone who's rated this saying "the grind between tournaments", but if you played the full version on a dodgy website back in 2007, having to leave the tab open for 2 weeks to complete it clearly don't see the fun in this game. I'm 21 and now flash is non existent it's essentially not possible to do this anymore. Love the SAS3 style graphics and style, if anything it makes the game more enjoyable. Being able to play either easier or harder games to your liking is a nice touch too.

Game is awesome. But once again, business model ruins it. I did all the free part, was on to pay for full game but it's pay to win... You receive gears and techniques unavailable in classic shop. I really don't like this. I just want to pay for my game, I don't want to pay for in-game content. Paying for in-game content in solo game is so frustrating. Please make a bundle to only remove ads.

The ability to respec would be great and truly shouldn't be hard to implement. It has some spelling errors in some of the text, the screen after finishing a tourney usually goes by too fast for you to read everything. There have also been some funny but still buggy instances I've encountered at least 3 times where you win a fight, the enemy begins to fall, and then gets up and celebrates like they won. Needs a little TLC and a respec addition for a 5*, but it's the nostalgia I still remember

This is not bad it's better than the computer version except the armor and weapons part its level system a little difficult. Some of the sounds for winning fights is some what off when you win a fight it says you just one the deathmatch but it was just a duel. But I loved what is pretty much a demo version seriously just put the full game it's the only reason I give it 3 stars. Also it would be nice if you added extra stuff like a board game thing that you can go to at night in the tavern.

I love the game. its fun, nostalgic, and kills time like no other. BUT the ironman difficulty not saving adter closing the app is a huge oversight. The difficulty was good and engaging but I closed the app to sleep and when i woke up my character id spent hours leveling up is gone. kinda a bummer when i didn't die. one life and increased difficulty is probably enough for that mode.

The game is good, a nice remake of the original game, however, there are a few issues. Animations are sometimes incorrect, which is a smaller issue. Two bigger ones, however, are the camera and the "demo" of the game: during a fight, if you move far away from your enemy, you have to wait for the camera to SLOWLY move towards you, which is a bit annoying. The other issue is, the game says you can go up to the 3rd tournament like in the original PC version, but after you win the 2nd, demo:s over.

It's great gladiatorial fun. I enjoy it. Though, there are a couple of bugs. Sometimes, when a character dies, it will play its win animation, and near the end game, there will be a certain point in the tournaments after leveling up that you can just bypass all armour, and hit all attacks with 100% accuracy, giving you an unwarranted landslide victory.

I loved it! Brought back a lot of nostalgia! There are a few problems I would like to address, though. 1). Gaining gold for higher level armor is a tedious grind but barely manageable. 2). Weapon balancing is a bit off. Swords are top tier. 3). Not sure if it's a game mechanic, but some of the champion's armor did not drop and went straight to health decline, making the fight incredibly easy. 4). The spikes on either side of the battlegrounds can be used (with enough strength) to "cheese" a fight. 5). Some of the new skills you can add to your gladiator are close to useless. Along with some other glitches within the battle, these are some of the game's issues, but over all, I love it love it love it.

This game is still fun,Nothing like the original. The game has changed too much for my liking, the spikes are very glitchy and there are many bugs in the game. My enemy can jump on the spikes and sleep there, also stay there for 6 turns and never get killed. When they trade places with me and they shove me. I instantly die and lose the game. Also sometimes the enemy gets 2 turns instead of one. Sometimes that happens to me also. I trust and hope these bugs will be addressed in the near future.
