so far, it works (technically.) it seems that "outdoors" isn't an accurate direction for where to walk. Outdoors, in an area off of a marked road or in a small area like a park or field doesn't seem to "qualify." I had a step counter of nearly 7k steps, which reset to just over 4k after stopping for dinner. So far, only 600 steps have been counted towards my total. Battery drains faster than a Samsung Fast Charger can account for. Not good. If this app can get its act together, more stars

I used this app quite a while ago and never made a review. I keep seeing people post referral links and it makes me mad all over again. I used the app for a while and i always had a problem with stashing tons of pending steps that would eventually disappear. I was walking 4 miles one direction to work at the time and every trip it would lose most of my progress. It was very frustrating. Tens of thousands of steps at a time would be taken from me with no reward.

Meh. You don't get credit for a huge percentage of your steps. If you manually submit steps late at night, you get a stunningly low percentage. The rewards items are largely garbage, and you merely get a discount you can probably get anyway. The good rewards take a long time to achieve. Still, it costs nothing, you might get something, and it may motivate you to walk more.

You only have the option essentially to spend coins on subscriptions and "free" samples/trials to services that require a credit card which essentially just tries to get you to spend money more than you earn using the app. And you have to pay shipping on almost everything, so almost nothing seems actually "free". Not worth the strain on the phone's battery and I've yet to find an option to make a donation to charity.

This used to be okay but last few days I can't get a single step retained, regardless of what I do. I can accumulate them as long as my phone is unlocked but as soon as I lock my phone my step count reset to 0, doesn't matter where or when I'm walking. Edit: I have sent an email with screenshots and a linked video of problem, not expecting to hear anything anytime soon though from what I see from other reviews.

Frustrated! The app no longer tracks my steps. Worked for years, and now nothing. I have looked at all the FAQs and videos and checked my phone to be sure physical activity was on. I have tried everything. If steps are tracked, they disappear once the phone locks. Please don't respond with sorry, and ask if I look at the help document or support because they are not helpful. I am not the only one complaining of this... just take it seriously and fix the issue. 😕

Downloaded the app about 6 months ago. It didn't work at all. Couldn't even open it. I just tried again and nothing has changed. I get a window that say app crashed because of a bug. Cleared cache data which shouldn't be any because I've never managed to open the app. Nothing changed. Still does not work. I tried Uninstalling it and installing it again with no changes.

I would give 5 stars if there was an option to fully purchase products/services with coins. I have 1500 in coins, but there's nothing to buy (other than coupons, free trials, etc.). There's the occasional auction, but it's over by the time I get to it. I will change my rating once the shop becomes more varied, along with the ability to actually purchase things. And no, I'm not going to download another app just to earn crypto 🤣. Make this one decent first.

I've had this app for yrs now. The notifications are on, but it doesn't appear in my drop down menu anymore. Both of my other walking for rewards apps do still. As a result, I often forget about this one. I recently got a Fitbit watch & am trying to connect it w\ these type apps. Haven't played with that on this one though as it's always hidden! Also, the other 2 apps allow you to "purchase" gift cards to stores like Walmart, Taco Bell, etc. This app just has discounts for things to buy really.

Ever since the update, the 2x bonus doesn't work. I walk for an hour every day and do the 2x bonus on my walk. When the 2x bonus was done, it tells me I walked only a couple hundred steps. Today, I watched it go from over 2,200 on the 2x bonus screen and then tell me I only did 388 steps. Kinda crazy how it only took 388 steps to walk a mile and a half. Before the update, it was hit or miss on the 2x bonus working or just spinning indefinitely and giving nothing.

App used to be really great. It keeps track of your steps and you earn coins, but the rewards just aren't there anymore. I get ads when trying to purchase stuff with coins after paying to not have ads, and the rewards are no longer fun. The app just isn't what it used to be. 5 years ago it was great, I got some stuff and it was fun. Now it's just, 10% off this, a free 7 day trial of this if you've never Used it before, etc. Sad to see the deals dwindling away. Time to find a new step tracker.

Since September, the step challenges have not been tracking my steps. The marketplace use to be fun. Even if the "good" stuff is always sold out almost as soon as it's up for sale. At this point, I just use the app for the step counter. Hoping an update fixes the step challenges and where you can cashout on your sweatcoins. It's cool getting the sweatcoin, but not so much fun when you can't spend it on anything. Edit: Sent multiple emails and still no issue fix nor am I getting coins anymore.

As of the last few months,it has been worthless. Pretty much every complaint from not counting steps to not analyzing boost, just not even recording steps anymore is occurring. I have read all the FAQ,s and have literally reloaded the app almost 20 different times over the past few months. I have given every permission possible for the app and maintain 5g service everywhere I go. I am at wits end! IF YOU CANNOT FIX THE PROBLEMS THEN LET USERS KNOW SO WE CAN FIND A BETTER APP.

This app used to work great, then all of a sudden, the app stopped working, I woke up the next morning and the app wont even open. Uninstalled, reinstalled the app and still nothing. I cleared data and cache and reached out to sweatcoin support, they were helping but all of a sudden stopped replying to my emails. This app I would reccomend, but right now it is not even useful, please fix this.

I have used this app for years, and though the marketplace has gone downhill, it's still a fun way to track steps. Unfortunately, much as I don't want to, I'm forced to uninstall. Suddenly the battery usage is out of control. When I started needed to charge my phone multiple times a day, I found that this app, which I don't even open most days, is by far the highest battery usage on my phone, far above and beyond even my most actively used apps. Looking through other reviews, it's not uncommon.

What a waste! I was invited to download thos app. I did so and examined the marketplace where you're supposed to be able to redeem your points for stuff. EVERYTHING I saw was a coupon you could get without this app. All those coupons you get in the mail when you move are the same ones you have to BUY here. Like "16 free meals when you start a subscription to Hello Fresh." You see that offer in many annoying places.

Overall 4 out of ten but the only problem I have with it is the glitches. It often dosnt counculate the amount of steps correctly or at all. When I teach another milestone it won't give me my coins instead the app freezes and will not allow it each time I click the button. Plus when I look at the coin options I can't read what it days because of the transportation to another screen of the game buttons.

Would be 4.5 stars if the 2x boost worked for me, but it never seems to. I activate it right when I'm walking the most, and it seems to work until the 20 minutes is done. Then it's seemingly stuck forever on analyzing, and a never-ending cycle of my phone notifying me that the app isn't responding if I'm not on the app. Other than that, it seems fine. It has counted my steps pretty accurately compared to my Galaxy watch. - Galaxy S20 FE

I reviewed this about a year ago and nothing has changed. I've been using this app since 2018 and there's never been anything useful in the shop. Just coupons you can get elsewhere and "offers" you have to spend money to get. There are gift cards, but only on auction for way more than they're worth. This app is a waste of time and space on your phone, all so they can make money off of your ad revenue & data without giving anything of value back. I'm over it, finally uninstalling. Good riddance.

Sweatcoin is a motivating app that incentivizes walking by converting steps into rewards. The concept is fantastic, and it encourages physical activity. However, the rewards can be limited, and it takes a long time to accumulate enough coins for meaningful rewards. The app's interface is user-friendly, but occasional bugs and syncing issues detract from the overall experience. Overall, a decent app for fitness motivation, but could use more rewarding options.
