This new edition doesnt like my phone. It loads slowly and the fancy fade ins and outs look great but stall the action. I still have the older "greenie" version on my two other devices. They are newer Android phones but I haven't down-loaded the latest version onto them yet. I thiought I'd check it out here first. All versions are easy to learn and many levels of challenge. Never boring and still entertaining. I'm still learning with this awesome app.

Works perfectly. I like the auto-clear and auto-fill options, and the number painting mode, which lets you quickly enter the same number in different places. Highlighting occurrences of the number selected helps with seeing the patterns. The hints explain strategies required to make progress, in order from simple to complex as needed, and this helps with learning the strategies. I also especially like how the app generates new puzzles, unlike some other apps (and sudoku books) which only have a fixed number of puzzles.

Very easy to play. I like the "hints" when I get stumped. They are a good teaching tool. I solve the "medium" puzzles because they are a good 10 minute exercise. Have solved well over 1,000 puzzles. Look forward to 1,000 more. Over 1,500 games played. Still enjoying it. Still enjoying the game. I hope I don't run out of puzzles to play. Keep them coming. Still having fun! Level 75 I think, working the medium puzzles. Still going strong & having fun. It never gets old. Addicting. Thanks Still fun

Playing this sudoku for several years now, using only the most difficult level. It can be fiendishly hard to get a high score sometimes, and I can be frustrated into resorting to guesses, usually incorrect. Gave a 5 star rating a couple years back and see no reason to lower it. It's a great passtime when waiting for friends, doctors and airplanes, or when boredom sets in.

App is great. Expert difficulty seems almost impossible without guessing for me, but mathematically I know it's possible. Hard difficulty is perfect for light logic and reasoning and helps me relax. Auto-fill feels like cheating, so I'm glad there is a seperation between scores in Stats. Paint by number mode should be on by default IMO, but it's fine to just tap it every time. Overall, this is one of the best apps I have ever downloaded.

I have played a lot of Sudoku and like the option to choose what difficultly to play. This app rates the puzzles very poorly. I started on an "Easy" puzzle, did several of them and they were more like medium, and a few in other apps or Sudoku books might be rated as difficult. The only easier option was "Breezy" level, and they were all very easy. But, nothing in-between. I like a puzzle that takes some thinking but is possible to solve without making a lot of errors or doing a lot of guesswork.

After playing for some years content with the layout, back button, and variety of custom options, the game got updated again and again, and again. Everything that made the game enjoyable was reduced to a dull bland slow experience. The ads, absolutely horrible. Had to play in airplane mode. That helped with the ads but, all else is still garbage now. Uninstalling the game. Bye bye.

Haven't played since 8/4/23! Enjoyed Sudoku for some time! However, the new format does not encourage a good experience. For instance, the original line of numbers across the bottom was a far better format. It is now broken into two rows of numbers. Also, it is now not intuitive as to how to leave the game! Update: I won't be playing the game anymore. The new layout makes playing the game slower. Times to complete the games have taken too long due to the layout of the numbers at the bottom.

Very clean and good sudoku app, yet I'm not going to use it any more. The ads are what kills it. I wish there was a paid ad-free version. At first the ads were okay, I mean every app has them, but lately they've gotten longer, sometimes you have more than 1 between a game, the "X"s to close the ads sometimes aren't easy to find, and you will get ads for 18+ app content that you don't really want showing up in public.

Needs a Classic mode, where those of us who have played for years can have our game back. New layout/ui is imo horrible, especially for people with vision problems. I chose this app because it played perfectly, ads were acceptable, never felt I was redoing puzzles,, and perfect contrasts for my vision. I stopped playing. If there won't be a classic, I will need to find a new app.

This game has violated my trust too many times, so I'm removing it. 1) The ads are rigged. There is usually an X button to dismiss the ads, but often times when I dismiss an ad, it acts as if I clicked on the ad 2) The daily puzzles aren't being credited properly. There have been numerous times when I've completed a daily puzzle on the day of, and I see the gold checkmark on the calendar, but when I check back the next day, it's gone

Free, good quality, ads are getting more aggressive. But it is a really well designed and built game. UPDATE: Had to dump this game. Started crashing repeatedly so uninstalled and reinstalled. After a week or so, same thing. Crashed after less than 5 minutes a few days after reinstalling. It was a good game, but useless if it repeatedly fails. Uninstalled.

I've been playing this for many years. It's the best sudoku on mobile. The recent update with achievements and challenges is good, the new UI is beautiful. UX could use some work, the new menus aren't very intuitive. The biggest complaint is the new ad frequency. The old version, I could play two or three puzzles and then watch an ad. Having them after every puzzle (or just changing the difficulty) is a bit excessive. Edit: Paid for no ads. The ads came back. Restore doesn't work.

Let me preface by saying I love this game, and I've been playing for months now. That said, it's hard to go wrong here. It's Sudoku. That said, since the games are randomly generated with a certain number of squares filled in, you sometimes get games that are far more difficult than the level indicates. I have played medium games where you have to make the 50/50 gamble that should be exclusive to the top-ranked difficulties. This becomes annoying when you're trying to play for fun and more so when you look at the point system, a useless thing that I nonetheless enjoy leveling up (it makes me feel like I've accomplished something, even though I havent). There bus no reward for it, but you can't help but feel slighted when you played hard on a difficult puzzle, only to receive medium difficulty reward points. The game also focuses on speed, even in the hardest difficulties, and lends a cheat in the form of notes. While the notes are essential, you can also get points (while useless, if you have a compulsive need to fill them like I do, this becomes a problem) by spamming the numbers for every box, then looking over them once you're done. Still, the game is solidly made. No glitches, no horrible black and white backdrop that eventually strains the eyes, and an overall solid experience. Also, it's completely free. So if you're looking for a fun, simple Sudoku game, this one is a prime choice, and as I said, after months on and off playing this, I believe it's the best anyone is going to find.

Easy to play, clean interface, many challenge levels. Great feature in being able to insert temporary place-holder numbers UPDATE!!! Something changed and the ads are intrusive and non-stop. What was once a great app is now just a sinkhole of ads for other games. Once an ad starts, you cannot return to the game. I've uninstalled it and will find one with less hostage taking capabilities.

Used to love the app but simply a shell now. Somehow in 10 minutes it used more battery than 4k YouTube streaming with the screen on for over 40 minutes. Phone incredibly hot. There is simply no reason for such a simple program to put such a heavy processing load on a device unless there are processes that turn the end user into the product.

This is simplicity executed with utmost elegance. It's simply sudoku but they've done it so well. There aren't any annoying mechanics that you find infecting other games like earning coins, gems, or micro transactions. There are ads, but they are not intrusive at all. An ad will not interrupt your game, but they play one ad at the end of each round, which I find perfectly balanced for a free game. This is a staple on my phone and I always find myself returning to it. I'd give it 10 stars.

The features, themes, and game play is amazing, the only problem I have is with the Daily Puzzles. I will clear them as they unlock, then select new puzzle, and I double-check the monthly calendar to make sure it registered as completed. A week later the game acts like I never completed them in the first place, and I lose all my progress on those puzzles. This has been going on since January 2024, and it's becoming extremely annoying

The game play is smooth and satisfying. I like the customization in game play. The ads are managable though deceptive at times (trying to get you to "update your game to a new version" or hiding the "x" not cool) I honestly would purchase ad free if they could fix one thing. They need to fix the monthy streak counter. I will complete a level over and over again and it still shows unfinished. Very frustrating.

Previously I gave it a 5. Unfortunately, after the upgrade, I can only give it a 2. It is no longer fun to play. The colors are not as sharp and clear and the numbers are smaller and harder to see for aged eyes. Also, it says there are bugs and it can't be played until the developers fix it. It has been several weeks and the "bugs" are still not fixed.
