Fize stars yes, however, the weather integration is always wrong. It is nice that the weather data is an option to have, but it should pull the data from the end of the ride, IMO. Temp wind, precipitation, sun whatever, It's frustrating seeing the wind or temp be way different from the actual weather outcome. Oootherwise. SUPERB

Paying subscriber since day 1, I think 11 years ago. I decided to give it a shot to go to the free version while recovering. Strava tries to upsell a subscription EVERY time I upload an activity or open the app. 10-15 extra clicks per day. Annoyance, bordering on obnoxious. Not sure why anyone would use the free version of this app.

The app on the phone is nice; good map recordings and the like. The watch side of the app is less impressive. It syncs with my phone nicely, but recordings are wonky. Most recently, only recording 17 mins of a 50 min walk session. EDIT 4/14/24 Recordings are more automatic and linked with my Samsung Galaxy watch and Health app. Added a star to are 5.

This app is still having issues properly recording activity. I use it for all my hikes, walks joggs and it will say strva encountered properly. It will jump from one point to another. Lucky I have my fit bit and it records my activity. Most recent activity starvation said 1.7 miles fit bit recorded almost 3 miles. Huge difference. I use to love this app but will probably have to start looking for another one since this has been a constant issue.

Been a strava user for years. I like that it syncs with a lot of other apps. Tracks all of my activities...Tons of features... one small issue.. if you do not have a power meter on your bike, I find the estimated power can be way off if you ride non road bikes on trails or a fat bike etc. Update 5/2024 I paid for the subscription, and it is totally worth it! You get additional discounts and the fitness/form/fatigue tracking is so helpful when training for events.

App is great. Does everything you need for free. Provides additional metrics for a fee of you want them and don't get them from another device or app. Effortlessly integrated with my Garmin Forerunner and Runna app. Generally well supported by local run clubs. ---- The map visibility feature really needs to be fixed. Why can't I manually specify where the center of the circle is? Or specify a non-circular shape?

Been with strava a while now, and almost think it's weird when I meet someone into cycling or mountain biking who doesn't use Strava. They keep adding more features, and I've felt the paid version was well worth it for several years, I might even splurge on a lifetime membership. The tracking covers leaderboards if you like to be competitive, lots of great data and trends if you use strava for all your workouts, and it incorporates well with a number of devices and services.

I don't pay for Strava. It might be worth it, it I just use it to log my basic exercise and it's pretty good for that. It excels with anything where you are moving and using GPS but can be used for stationary exercises too. It's worth using if you're unfamiliar with it. It also tethers into a lot of other apps pretty easily (such as Garmin connect, Zwift, etc.)

Pros: Keeps me in touch with my running friends. Cons: constant press to upgrade to premium, to the point where you can't tap on a feature without some concern that it's behind a paywall. Further, the developers keep putting more and more originally free features behind the paywall.

In general, it's a good app. I was disappointed with the customer service in the past. It's very frustrating to see all the nice features go from free to subscription only. I was a beta tester, but then realized I didn't want to be the first to lose out. Additionally, the subscription price is outrageous (which is really hard to see)! Overall, the way the subscription is handled is terrible and one of these days some app will come out and make Strava go out of business. GPS is good, though.

This is the 4th run that doesn't sync from my watch to the app. (Yes, I've done all of the troubleshooting they suggested on their website) I've reached out to Strava via e-mail (the only form there is to contact them) and didn't hear back from them. I got Strava with the subscription specifically because I liked the features that track your progress. Can't track it if it doesn't sync to the app so, wasted my money on that subscription.

The new UI looks really bad and the white is really glazing. Also, as someone with dyslexia, the higher contrast is nice, but the lack of differences between parts of the screen makes it hard to focus on one spot. Edit: I don't know if this update caused it but when I'm asked to check a verification email, I never get it. This even happens if I press the resend button

The offline features are so-so, and sometimes I get stuck with the app not launching while offline because Strava needs to show me some promo. Also, direct messaging doesn't show on the website, so the feature misleads you to think all users will see your DMs when in reality they can go into a black hole. Would also like more features around fitness progress trends, esp around intervals/track workouts.

Stupid app. Tried to sign in but forgot which email I used. Signed in with google. Wrong email. Then you are REQUIRED to sign up. Even closing the app doesn't start over. So I signed up with a new email. Wouldn't let me get the subscription WITHOUT the free trial but wouldn't let me get the free trail again because I already used it. So basically, I have to either sign up with my emails until I find the right one or keep downloading and deleting the app. That's dumb sorry.

Amazing app for tracking runs and connecting with others but I had to deduct a star because they continually ignore requests to change the feature that shows "moving time" not total "elapsed time". The only way to do that is labeling the run as a race. This change needs to happen because the "moving time" is not accurate. If I want to stop/restart my time I will simply pause my watch.

Update- Thank you for fixing this. Much appreciated. ****************************************************** I had a request for route searching. For some reason the ability to pull up the next few routes is not available. It's a huge pain to perform a new search everytime you want to pull more results. The only thing that is available now is to draw your own route. Please fix!!!

The basic version is enough for most people's needs. I'm on a 30-day trial of the paid option and it provides some neat stuff, like finding other running routes, making your own and sharing them; and it provides pace analysis. I wish that the map showing your route would show mi/km markers so you can visually see how the pace analysis lines up with your route.

Signed up for a Premium trial (not worth it). When I went to cancel, I tried several times in-app but the app kept freezing. Extra annoying because you have to go through SEVERAL screens to assure them that you ARE of sound mind and DO indeed want to cancel. So I tried to cancel on the website, but there is NO option to do so! Check the Subscription page if you're skeptical--I took a screenshot. I was finally able to cancel through Google Play Store. Never again, Scumbag Strava!

Pros: Writes to cloud, the only reason I use it. Cons: everything else. Overloaded, terrible, always white (say goodbye to your battery and screen) UI. Can't save a trip automatically, you need to press 20 buttons and wait forever until "Save" saves. Lots of unnecessary features (friends etc). Doesn't let you to edit (cut, extend, merge) the hike. Doesn't detect if it's not a run/hike, but a car drive (how hard is this knowing speed?) Etc. By features set, it looks like it's stuck in 2011.

Great app idea, bad execution. Need to be able to edit paths after the fact, but it's like the developers are too hung up on people lying about what they've done to give this kind of editing power. If it loses gps signal in rural areas, you can't go back and edit the path either, it'll just snap to your next location, so you lose distance. Also if your phone died while recording, it fully loses the trail so far. So great app, none like it, but I wish it has these easily changeable options.
