Love this app! It's accessible enough to be there when you need it, but neither annoying or in the way. I like the comprehensive breakdown of personal preferences (gender, height, weight, etc) that allows the app to give feedback about stride length, distance covered, etc. You can also set daily goals for steps and water consumption, but it's customizable enough that you can turn off alerts if it doesnt suit you. Highly recommended!

Works like a charm, very customizable with the ability to set your stride and instantly see the effect on the distance already recorded. Comparing it to, for example, the distance recorded by the treadmill it is very accurate. The only negative I have found so far is that, when it is connected to Google Fit, it reports a ridiculous number of small walks about the house. Very easy to turn off that reporting though. Overall an excellent app

It's nice and simple. A pedometer that keeps track over time, records daily walks, and gives you a rough estimate of caloric burn and mileage. It even let's you set goals and encourages you to surpass them by setting them higher when that goal has been met, motivating better fitness. You don't even need to have it on screen to count your steps either, making it all the easier to play music or YouTube videos while you walk. .I highly recommend giving it a try.

This app has been more accurate, for me, than Google fit. I got a new phone and Google fit was not counting any steps (still isn't after a week of trouble shooting). This app completely fixed the problem and I have an accurate account of movement and enjoy the graphs as well. *update: my cache started filling up very quickly recently. I looked at my biggest apps and this one had a whopping 3GB of data saved and another GB cache. I had to uninstall but 3 tried later still installed.

Was initially impressed with the accuracy. After 3 days of walking the same route, the numbers were of course different but, within reason. Now they are inexplicably all over the place. The very same route is calculated with as much as 1800 steps, 8 tenths of a mile in distance, and 20 minutes in time difference. I'm going looking for another app. This one is not accurate or reliable enough even if it is free.

It gets the job done, shows me how much I walked so far today on the lock screen, tracks my daily steps, and that's what I wanted. The similar google app stopped working after a while (not to mention the strange downward step adjustments) so I needed one that's simple and don't stop working. This is all I ever needed. The achievement congrats/daily report messages are added bonuses. Edit: you don't need to open the app if you don't care about entering your data.

Easy interface, no annoying ads, and does what intended. Keeps track of my steps better than any other app. Keeps count when screen is off; don't have to worry about constantly checking my phone to see if the app is still going. The water feature is a plus; no need for a water reminder app. Some see it as useless, but busy individuals sometimes need that hydration reminder; especially when on the move. Easy to pause the count, hydrate when reminded at my own set time, and continue.

So far I think this app is pretty great Until it stops working. I've downloaded and uninstall this app five times now. After reinstalling the app, after a couple months, it will stop counting my steps. I search on the help link for The step counter to fix the issue. I do all the steps to fix it. (Pun not intended)it still doesn't work. The only solution is to uninstall and reinstall it again or, leave it behind.... bye

Used for several years but recently had to uninstall as it drained my battery OVERNIGHT from 100% to 30%. Phone analytics showed the app was the ONLY power drain, waking phone 10-15 times a night. Why? Unknown. I wasn't walking, I was sleeping. This app WAS the OG for non-invasive step counting, using almost zero phone resources, then it became a resource hog with power-draining ads, interstitials, and pop-up reminders. I would reinstall if the app developers reconfigure the energy drain.

I've had the app over a year. Used to be easy to use. Inconceivably they've eliminated a way to exit the app from the main screen. There used to be a few ads which was acceptable, but now they come up much more often, often with no visible method to close the ads. They have an option to pay a fee to stop the ads, but when I tried to use it I got a message they only accept Google Pay and they are currently unable to accept Google Pay from the United States. I'm looking for a new app right now.

I only use it to make sure I get the steps in that I want to. But for a free app it does do a lot. It sets and raises goals over time and gives you a lot of free little exercises. Does have a lot of ads but they don't bother me for what I need. Has plans you can set up and pay for to achieve your goals but I can't say much on that since I'm fine achieving my goals without that feature

I loved this app. I used it faithfully for years. It was the only one that did exactly what I needed. But the last few weeks, it's been popping up new notifications about 30 minute walks and walking 10k a day and there's no way for me to turn those off despite having all reminders and the like off. These notifications come up multiple times a day, every day, and it's gotten so annoying that I'm going to have to find a new app to use.

Great App when first installed. Now, it's cluttered with all kinds of ads. Step counter used to offer easy Xs (exits) and other ways to close. These ways are no longer there. It's like we've got you locked in with no easy exits. It used to be such nice App to use. It would be nice to see the App take few steps back to normal and it's primary purpose.

11/22 This app is amazing. It helps me keep track of distance walked as expected but the other features is why I'm giving it a 5 star. The app also offers workouts for just about anyone. And even keeps track of calories burned, water intake, goals, and you can even set your own schedule in the app. Ads are present but at least they're not popping up constantly. Update: It's now 1/25/24 and I still love this app. I've lost 165lbs, gained muscle mass, and now I'm very fit and active. Great app!

I like this app, but a few things bother me. If I walk with my phone in my hand, it doesn't count my steps because my hands are steady, can't I just walk around while watching a video? The main problem is that when you put in that you've gained weight, it's in orange and when you've lost weight it turns green. Even if the weight you've lost is severely underweight, it'll still show up as green. I hate this feature, especially since my goal isn't weight loss. It should be an optional feature.

Simple to use. Keeps me aware of my activity. Easy to set up and just goes on an 'autopilot' type senerio in the background. I am disabled at nearly 70 yo. I did it initially as a novility. After a few weeks, I began paying more and more attention. It popped up in my 'peek' notifications. After 1 full year, I have found that I'm competing to keep up with myself 😳😉. It keeps me moving. The old saying, "Spiral up or spiral down" has more awareness esp. being disabled and not very active!

It works well enough. I just use it to get rough steps on a walk. The counter is not super accurate, but it likely stays within 8% most of the time. Ex I walked about 7600 steps and the app over shot by 300. The distance calc is terrible. I have had it overshoot shorter distance by half a mile and under shot longer distances by almost a mile. If you just need a ball park number this will work. But if you need accuracy go with something else.

App is getting massive, and the cache was somehow in MB when I don't even usually open it. All I need it to do is count steps/distance and show me the history, not have work out regimens, etc. With the size of the cache in such a short time with so little use, I'm worried they're now are a virus or have one... and their logo stopped matching the one in the play store even though I get the updates which is concerning.

After using the app for a while I began to suspect the accuracy was off. I did a long 1.5 hour walk, never slowing down or stopping. It only registered 30 minutes. Pretty useless. They also blast an unskippable video vad at you every time you simply try to look up yesterday's activity. Also plays a corny loud sound every time you check it and you've hit some step goal, can't be disabled. So, time to uninstall.

This app is GARBAGE. I've used it for over a month, and it worked great. Then, today, it just stopped counting my steps. I was at almost 10,000 for the day, and it just STOPPED working. I tried restarting my phone. Nothing. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Logged back in. Guess what!? IT DELETED ALL MY DATA. Everything. Completely gone. Tried restoring it. Nothing. Gone. I'm absolutely livid. And it's STILL not tracking my steps. Also, you can't turn the volume off in this app. 🖕
