I love the concept for the game, but 8 bucks for no ads for a game that takes an hour or two to "complete" is crazy (just turn your wi-fi off though). Also, it's quite difficult to actually select one of the stations to upgrade it, unless you're zoomed all the way in.

Way too many ads. In the beginning you could advance faster, but the further you get, the longer it takes to get the experience needed to unlock the next state. If you don't stay in game and wait for experience, it won't unlock because you don't get experience with the game not open. Once you complete North America it asks if you want to start new level, if you click yes it erases everything and you start completely over. Waste of time

This game seriously sucks. I tried playing once and it was fun. Up until the second time I played. Well. MY PROGRESS WAS WIPED! I only had 4 keys which wasn't even enough to get Alaska. And when I reinstalled the game. I had to start. ALL THE WAY BACK to Washington. Although I haven't seen the add problem once. Overall. Terrible game.

I don't mind the ads, even if they're often. I do mind that the 'skip' button on nearly every ad doesn't actually work. I do mind that I have to close out the app each time this happens and restart the game. Sometimes the ads freeze so I'd have to close out anyway. Other than that, the game is decent. It's something you don't really have to pay attention to, which I like.

It was cool, I didn't like that you couldn't unlock stuff when you wanted to or unlock states in different countries at the same time. I didn't mind watching Ads to help upgrade stuff but felt that the level up was a bit slow for my interest. Also you couldn't add lines wherever you wanted and I didn't like that. I like to have freedom to be creative.

Ads in the first 2 minutes of the game. In the middle of game play. Then two ads play and I have to click small icons all over the screen to get them off. Half the time was spent on ads. I pay for ad free content after I test a game out. But if you can't offer a intro period that is ad free I am not going to waste time with the game.

Do you like ads every thirty seconds no matter what you're doing? Do you like pop-ups stating that the devs KNOW the ads are annoying but they feel they need to, to 'develop' the game? Do You like ads that prevent your idle game from progressing? If yes, then I have the game for you! Oh yeah, there's no offline rewards, do those ads are even more in the way then you think!! I won't comment on gameplay, because the ads ruin the chance to even try to enjoy State Railroad: Ad Game.

Honestly I like the game itself. It's good for time killing. You gotta buy the no ads thing to make it bareable but if you upgrade to the point where you can't afford them you're watching ads anyway. Personally I don't really mind it but I get why it's bothersome. Patience. As of writing this review I'm almost done with it. I've only got four zones left of Canada before I've filled the whole map out. I hope there's more to it than just North America but if not it was fun while it lasted.

It was a cute game. HOWEVER. I take lots of issues with the amount of ADS. It's ridiculous to ask us to pay $8 + tax. That's obscene. But if you don't pay for ads, even when I'm not touching my phone (as to let my funds build up) an ad will pop up? And they keep popping up too, without any interaction. Just BAM! 🫴🏼 Ad. It's almost nonsensical. I paid the 8 dollars. 🙄 And now I've completed the game. What I wanna know is will you add more levels to the game? New continents? Did I waste $8? 🤷

The game would be better if the ads weren't so abysmally often. And I'd be more willing to pay for Less ads if it were cheaper. I genuinely didn't mind doing the optional ads for progression, but they became ridiculous when combined with the far too frequent required ads. Not to mention that I beat the game, and it said I unlocked a new continent, so I restarted to start on the new continent, only for it to reset my entire progress and not have anything new whatsoever.

The game has the potential to be fun, but there is literally (I timed it) an ad every minute. Plus a banner and runs at the bottom of the app continually. I understand free games need ads to make money, but the number of ads is excessive. You don't ever really get to play the game when you are interrupted by ads every minute. It's basically five dollars to remove ads but I can't play the game long enough to decide if I want to spend that money, so I am uninstalling the app.

Was away from it for a while and when I opened it again everything was locked with no way of unlocking, but I could still buy upgrades. So it's unplayable. I would have to uninstall and reinstall and probably lose everything and have to start over. That's the standard for these games that have an invasive amount of ads. No backup, sit through more ads, generate more ad revenue. Blah, blah, blah...

Fun at first, but you only have one continent to unlock, which isn't a lot of content. Also, the game limits how many states you can unlock based on your level. So you have to sit there and wait while the trains run around and collect enough exp to level up. It's incredibly boring, and you don't collect exp while offline. Upgrades also get expensive fast, and you end up resorting to watching ads, but there are also regular ads on top of those!

How's the gameplay? Who knows, I certainly don't when there's an ad every 30 seconds, which you have to skip twice and then wait for an X to appear, as well as being unmuteable and being some of the most annoying sounding ones. Oh, not to mention the very obvious "Oh, those ads sure are annoying, pay us for a game you haven't experienced and actually get to try it!". Yeah no. A minute, maybe two without an ad interrupting. I don't understand the rating on this.

I found this game as an ad for another one, read the reviews and thought, "it can't possibly be that bad." Yeah, it can, and it is THAT bad. The game is not user-friendly, nor are the controls and the ads are overkill. The plus side? Cute graphics and catchy music. It's a good idle game, if you don't mind slow game play at first. Uninstalled after I opened up a 2nd state, because I had the coins but no guidance on how to proceed.

It's an interesting game and it's exactly how it's marketed, but there are definitely some flaws. First, there are too many ads (I counted two in the course of three minutes and it costs $8 for no ads) and some of them cover content of the game (I've had multiple occasions where the screen will black out and there will just be a tiny Facebook ad that I can't get rid of without closing and reopening the game). Also, there really isn't much content to the game. It stops after all of North America.

Similar to the other state connect game, it's not for binging. Very fun game with much potential if you are patient. (I hope). My biggest issue with this version is it likes to crash. Especially after a watching a video for increased loot. I have only managed to open about half of the US after a week of attempts at playing. The iOS version is much better. I have finished North America and Europe and am eagerly awaiting the next unlock.

This game could be a ton of fun if not for the ads. They are literally every ½ minute or less!! It's awful. I totally get the need for ads but this is completely out of control. And then they have a little pop-up that asks if you're tired of ads? Yes? Then by all means pay for the no-ad version. Nah, Uninstall and warn your friends!!

I find the game playable and a time killer. However, there are a few problems with this game. 1 being the amount of ads you experience (without buying the no ads option). The second being, things get expensive very quickly. Thirdly is it's only North America, so once you finish that. You have no reason to continue playing.

I too have received the "Facebook and best buy ads of death". Basically this tiny ad pops up, kind of like a banner ad, except it is across the middle of the screen. There is no way to close it, except for closing the game and reopening it. This would be a minor inconvenience if it didn't happen every other minute. Now excuse for this fix it. Game itself is much like an idle game, where you upgrade as you go. It is OK. Just annoyed with ads.
