Overall I'm mostly satisfied with Stash. The app is solid, manual and automatic transfers process without any issues, and I have never had an issue withdrawing my money. My only complaints are related to the almost monthly UI changes and how the interface is not tailored well to those with only a basic subscription. I do miss the old app version with the little investment articles and quizzes and stuff.

The app is fine but every update it gets harder and harder to navigate. The menu is a labyrinth of options that are unintuitive and poorly labeled. Equally frustrating are pop ups, notifications, reminders to set recurring investments. The app used to be much cleaner, easier and more user friendly. I still like the app, but the redesigns have been going in the wrong direction. It may be time for a massive change to get back on track.

Fantastic app for ETF investing. Left off 2 stars because of two issues. One minor, one major. Minor one is it's really time for a widget. Major issue is that there's an issue where if you're scrolling through your investments and then you select an investment to look at, when you return to the full list it takes you back to the top. Very annoying if you hold many investments. Add the widget and fix that one issue and it's a perfect app Edit 9/11/21 the issues I mentioned still exist.

So they gave iOS the option to turn on dark mode in the app, but Android users have to use Androids default dark mode. So anyone like me using a custom theme is out of luck. The white background is blinding after the dark loading screen. Been using stash for a few years now, enjoying watching my savings grow. Overall fairly simple to use, but has slowly grown more complicated to navigate through all the layers of menus. The new Stash Party events are also a great way to earn a few extra stocks.

The bundled stocks are great. The app is very helpful in learning about investing. However, they are constantly advertising a $20 credit if you recruit a friend. Ive had 2 friends sign up now and neither myself nor my friends received a credit. Also, they have been unresponsive via email. It makes me nervous to invest because if this is how their customer service is, what happens if I really need something?

Easy to invest, very very difficult to capitalize. This app wants to keep your money in its system, takes forever to cash out after selling (up to 3 days in my experience, and the option to cash out is kind of hidden within the UI). Only a handful of investment opportunities. A good place to get your feet wet, but if you're playing with more than pocket change, look elsewhere.

I opened an account with Stash in early 2017, it was a method for me to save money while earning some interest. I cashed out early in 2018. I never expected to have any other issues or interactions with the app. However, a couple of months ago Stash started charging me a $1 subscription payment fee. I log in and it turns out I had an outstanding interest payment of $.01 that was paid after I had cashed out. I contacted support to address the issue and close my account but they are unresponsive.

Smooth and easy to enter into Stocks but you have to note there is a lag from bid to purchase to actually acquiring the sale. This can make a significant difference in your purchase or sell pricing. Sometimes significantly. If you are new and just trying out a few bucks and getting the base knowledge that's fine. The fees are too high too, but the biggest thing is the lag gap. That can completely change a stock price which can really hurt. So. The app is smooth and easy but costs you alot.

Painfully frustrating. I have had a 3 dollar subscription for over 2 years and never bothered to cancel it because I never really cared about the app and never even invested, and only today wanted to finally go in and cancel the subscription. Both investment things have 0 funds in them, and it still is asking me to transfer all my funds to my account before canceling the subscription. I'm genuinely tired of it and just want out of the subscription and leave the app completely.

My account was locked with ZERO communication from STASH. I made some updates to my account. The next day, I try to open the app multiple times and it just won't open, and I can't figure out why. I was finally able to open it from my web browser, and it said my account was locked. I call customer service and they say my account is under security review, and that I just have to wait. I had to badger them into unlocking it over the phone. Terrible communication, closing my account.

Over the last 2 months my direct deposit hasn't arrived. Customer service is terrible, 3 emails and 2 phone calls with no resolution, no answers twice, they just leave you guessing. I get paid once a month and have yet to see a direct deposit for the last two months. I checked the routing numbers and account numbers and they are what was provided by STASH. If you value the money that you worked so hard to earn DO NOT use.

Great app. Has features of other banking apps but also gives stock back, and lets you set aside money for goals. While they don't gain interest they are available without penalty at a moments notice as long as you can move it back to checking. Always enjoyed using the app. There was a period of time when I couldn't sign in on my phone but still had access on my computer. Never had a major issue other than the sign in problem but its corrected now.

had to install before I could review after having deleted the app the first time. ok after closing my meager account after a 3$ fee that I couldn't stop actually had I been able to access my account without all the trouble with a phone number change I would have canceled the subscription before that last 3$ turned into practically 40$ total overdraft. yea I got 8.54$ in bank. i basically paid 3$ plus 36$ thanks. I am so sorry I had to get a new phone and couldn't turn off your plan in time.

I've been using Stash as my primary banking app for a couple of years now. Overall I've found the app to be useful allowing me to save up and invest a small amount using the stock back card. I had been enjoying having the goals as a separate section to set aside money each check to protect money for accidental spending, but that has gone away after a planned removal was declared.

I don't know what fool decided to screw up the goal feature, but they ruined something that worked great for something more confusing. Instead of putting the money aside marked for said goal and the moving it back once you've reached your goal, but now it's some weird system of making a goal and it giving you advice. There's no marker showing how close you are, and no clear indicator of how it works now.

So far fluid and super easy to use. Hopefully they don't overdo it and overwork it like many others. Look the feel is great the layout is the best I've seen so far. I'm going to try it. Not to sure about this price. I never had to pay any money from an account and there's 3 day early pay everywbere else. So I'm thinking as to if it's actually worth the price vs what you get and so far none of the emailed spammed incentives have hit at all. On any way at anything. Not for free I dnt

The app has a nice layout that is easy to read and navigate. I enjoy the graphs they provide and appreciate that its very beginner friendly. The downsides are their monthly subscription of $3, its not bad if you have a few thousand invested to recieve dividends that cover it, but beginners don't have those kind of funds and it just results in a slow drain. I wouldn't really recommend it for beginners, as it is too pricey overall for someone just wanting to get a start on investing

This app causes the biggest headache. I have been going back and forth with customer service to get access to my funds, and nothing has been done. It locked my account for identity verification issues. When I provided them with everything, they just keep emailing me with more requests for another form of "verification." They have done nothing to help. My funds are held from me, which is INSANE and frustrating. I have to tap the app 12 times before the app is open because of my locked account.

Just found out that they changed the bank account goals partitions. It used to be very easy to transfer money and allocate it towards savings goals, and if needed or when goal reached, transfer it back into the main account. Not very happy with the new goals options. Forces you to invest in the market it looks like. It's now confusing to use. Cant figure out how to transfer money into the goals account without putting it in a market index. If thats the only option now im out....Change it back!!!

Yikes! Monthly fee and takes days for processing transactions between your bank and stash account. Very limited options on investing compared to other apps in my opinion. Customer service was friendly and helpful is about the only plus they have. If you have a promotional code it takes 90 days until you can transfer or use that money which is ridiculous! Won't be using again!!!
