Love it! Edit: USED to love it. It's gotten very money grab-ish, and when you DO spend money, the rewards have really gotten awful. No longer any kind of return on my investment in the game. They claim it's just random and you get what you get, but it's very obvious they've tanked the odds of getting anything decent with any regularity. I've quit dropping money on it, and it's slowly getting played less and less, which sucks, because it was the only game I was willing to spend monthly money on.

The game is still very cool to play, I've been Playing it for a while now. I have on many occasions come into problems with the gameplay & have needed customer support, Most times we have fixed the problem in a timely manner, However there still is that One thing.... They've always been very helpful, lol.. I'm going to give it 4 Stars for Now.

STT has really improved. It's not great to play for free, but the developers have introduced premium currency as an in game reward(sporadically) and has generally made micro transactions more rewarding and more accessible. There's still a lot of RNG and the game can be unrewarding for stretches, but with several new game modes and systems to recycle unneeded crew/items STT is a much more complete game after a few years growth.

Update: They listened and fixed this issue. The support team is great. I never had a problem with the "watch an add " feature until this last patch. Seriously, you can't mute them now? Also a TWO minute longthe support tinder add? No thanks. I close the app and just come back in a few hours. Your 40 second adds were pushing it, but 2 minutes is WAY over the line. If this keeps up this game will fall off my radar.

Recall playing this a couple years ago and was entertained for *hours*. Just restarted playing it recently (from the beginning as I think I lost my progress on transfer to new phone) and definitely not as fun as I remember. Namely because it seems a lot more difficult to progress. As I said I previously played for literally hours. Now in less than half the gametime I'm already stuck at a point where I can barely seem to progress. Presume its been updated more to the "pay to win" side..

With the regular events, daily rewards, and a little luck, this game is easily playable without spending money. That said, as with all freemium games, a little goes a long way! The monthy dilithium box is worth investing in, and used wisely can serve you well... The trick is finding out how to do so ;) Support are inundated with requests daily, bugs are fixed, some faster than others, and whilst it's annoying when they hit, you forget the issue existed once resolved... Very Starfleet :D

It's just not a good game. You make selections, and use pay-to-win to make better selections. Everything is pretty autonomous outside of that. The same characters have 5+ variants because there isn't enough depth in the game for just 1. The ships have levels, which you need to collect multiple of the same ship to upgrade. All of this, is of course, locked behind a costly gacha system. There are no satisfying victories. The events are so basic, it's the same content as story mode. Don't bother.

I don't know about any "latest update" but the version I installed about a week ago on my new Android 9 phone doesn't work properly. When I'm on a 'journey' it just keeps recycling the timer back to 2:00:00 while continuing to eat up my point reserves ... with the end result that I lose my 'dilemma' and all my progress for the last 2 hours! If I hurriedly close it out and switch to my Windows laptop it doesn't happen ... at least not as bad ... but it is still very hinky! It seems the up-selling 'in app' segments and ads all seem to work perfectly though! It's amazing how one of the key working points of the whole game doesn't seem to function properly! I guess I will just have to dump it on my Android phone and use the desktop Windows version instead for now. If they can't get it fixed I might just have to dump it for good. :-(

The game is solid, but DB needs to make a concerted effort to address QoL issues in the game. The breakneck pace of events and new characters keep the game engaging, but sacrifices the ability for players to try and keep up, which then highlight the underlying flaws/issues. Edit 1/2020: Bugs and some QoL issues have been addressed since my initial review in 2017. Additional gameplay mechanics would go a long way towards keeping the game fresh. Customer service also seems to have improved

The depth of Star Trek characters and lore is amazing. I have played off and on for 3 years or more now. But, it has gotten to the point where there is little to do beyond the daily missions, and most premium pulls and voyage rewards are duplicates. I spend most of my time building points to get citations to complete crew so I can freeze them and free up crew space. That is monotonous. The events are usually too grindy and require items I need for leveling up crew.

Lots of bugs, poor developer response, poor customer service support. After several more months issue not corrected, it seems it never will. Just don't watch any ads, the rewards, if you get any, will always be useless. More likely you will get the reward blocked by ad view limit, sometimes on the first viewed ad. Thank you for the long delayed reply. I have been contacting support, as you indicated, for over a year, and the only response was nothing we can do, so not a good option. Poor support

Now that the logon issue is resolved, great game! My only complaint is the lack of resources in-game. For example, I have a 1 star, basic character that needs a basic item to level. The only place this item can be found is in a level 8, elite, level... I am struggling with this and I have 5 star, ultra rare characters... I cant imagine a beginner trying to level a basic, 1 star character...

Good graphics and gameplay. Trying to figure out the best characters for missions and tech support is great! Update 8/19/23. Still playing and liking the updates and fixes over the years. I'm a grinder when I play and this fits my style. Like the different ways to level up and play, yes, it does require some pay-to-play, but that's okay by me. I don't whale the game, but like the campaign tracks that have been added since I started. If I don't need it, I don't get it that campaign. Great job!

I love this game; as a whole it runs great. However, the specific issues never quite get resolved and talking to support is not guaranteed to solve the issues. For example, I brought it to their attention several months ago that sounds will play when the app starts... regardless if you are streaming a podcast or on a phone call. When you go under settings it already has the sounds set to silent. Other issues brought to their attention have them addressing the wrong part of the game completely.

Lots of fun, very diverting. Great for a Trekkie! *Update* The game is still as much fun as ever! Also, the staff is very responsive to tech issues, as well as always coming up with new material to keep it fresh! *Update again* the ads in the app are not completing, but getting stuck before they even show what they're for. I have to restart the game each time.

Buggy and slow. Play on iPhone/iPad or PC instead. I get crashes after watching ads, and endless loop of "hailing Starfleet" or loading while waiting for space battle to start and transitions. And due to unresponsiveness( have to tap something 2-4 times to go) one can get inadvertent taps on options not seen. Wasted nearly 1000 dilithium as cost and verify never popped up and it completed task. Addendum: I did create support ticket to which resulted in nothing but the wasted time of creating it.

The app works great 95% of the time. What really annoys me is the lack of/ late notifications for Voyages. My pop-up notification for the Voyage comes after it already expires. This has happened more frequently as of late. IDK if this is done intentionally so people buy more Dilithium or not. It is a technical issue at least. And extremely shady at worst. This game you can play without spending money. But more and more microtransaction items seem to be added.

I've enjoyed this game since before it's second anniversary. I believe the game has improved with almost every change that has been made in it. The only change I didn't care for was when the voyage rewards were revamped. After that, it was much more difficult for players like myself to accumulate enough chronitons to make a good showing in skirmish events. But, I've gotten used to it by now. Still enjoying the game today. David Dailey

Updated previous negative review because the support team helped get my problem fixed. This is a solid game for a Star Trek fan, it's fun to collect all the different characters as crew members and level them. Many of them don't have voice clips when selected, which I think is a shame, because it's a good feature for the characters its used for

This is one of those rare mobile games I found myself willing to actively invest in. The key factor is replayability. With a robust campaign and a variety of options to complete them you can come back again and again and have a different experience each time. The devs are actively involved in the quality and upkeep of the servers. Impressive work devs. Keep it up. 👍
