It's cool for a short period. If you need to find planets, stars, moons, or constellations than it's great. But I get these notifications and I think I'm gonna see something extraordinary by it telling me a location. In stead it just pulls up the sky map. And my phone is usually pointing down when reading messages. Soooo you can imagine how that doesn't help

I love this app! I took one star away because the orientation of the objects in the sky isn't right & I have to reset or recalibrate the thingy in my phone that makes the compass point in the right direction. Other than that, I love this app! My granddaughter thinks it's awesome & loves the planets on the map. We also love that when there's some celestial event & it's cloudy, we can still see it in the app.

Very impressive at first, now somehow gets "turned backwards" (shows Polaris to the south, planets to the north of viewer, etc), orientation goes off to odd angles, etc. Unreliable... Now have galaxy s10+, still goes wild & crazy with directions, compass rose spins around backwards, etc. Beautiful display design, helped us ID the ISS station one night - but just cant figure out which way is "up" --

Very nice experience. I even like turning on all notifications so I can tell when the moon is about to rise or whatever... the graphics and interface seem to be better than the others though this is not the only app I have that does this function. ISS tracker and SkyEye are two others. Thanks for the work guys I know you don't mind me discussing your fellows' apps....

I loved this app! I used it almost every night when I had my Samsung phone but since I switched to GooglePixel I have not been able to enjoy any of the apps options. My screen has to be manually moved and attaches to no one point in the sky. The animations dont work and neither do the other options. Is it possible for these problems to be fixed anytime soon?

excellent app! I look at the heavens all the time and could never tell what I was looking at. I have tried using books (requires too much up and down on the neck), glow-in-the-dark spin wheels (worthless) and other devices to no avail. In Eygpt, I discovered Star Tracker and I've been using it ever since. Just scan the sky and you have it in front of you. It's crazy easy and fun. Highly recommended. A++++

LOVE THIS APP!!! Tried it for the first time while on a moonlit walk on the beach with my man. It was so awesome to see where all the constellations and planets were at while we star gazed. Highly recommend paying for the full version so you can search for everything. Only thing I wish it had was a search option for the space station and other satellites but that's not a big downfall. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS APP!!! If you love star gazing that is. 😀

This app wasn't as horrible as it is now... the GPS is off by a lot... I've installed it on multiple devices and it's the same on each. Here on Earth it's about a foot off.. in space it's probably thousands of miles.. If you point out at the moon, I've had to rotate it about 8-12 inches.. this is on at least 4 devices.. I don by know about my girls iPhones.. but it used to be great and super accurate.. something changed.. I recently downloaded this again just to see if it was more accurate. Nope

Love the alerts of special celestial happenings! But. Ugh, folks, why can't you get on point with the real sky? The app visual is way off with where (for example) the moon is. I've done the compass reset thing but nothing seems to get it on track..This is a real bummer because you can't accurately find anything you're looking for.

Love the ambient background music, very relaxing. Excellent app for sky mapping and identifying constellations. Only one negative so far and that is a moderately frequent current GPS location error. Not sure if it's just my carrier or some other culprit of the cause so can't really count it as a con belonging to this app. Overall, I would say its intriguing, and an excellent awe inspiring solid 4 and a quarter stars! Thank you

This is the best stargazing app I've ever installed! I had no problems. With the right stargazing conditions, this app is perfect: easy to use, pin-point accuracy, visually appealing, great music and no ads. It even highlights the brightest stars, so you really know where to look. Especially great for the amateurs out there! I highly recommend installing the app, it's worth a try, good luck!

It's definitely worth 5 stars but there are definitely some things worth fixing. Like when you get the alerts for specific things to look for it just takes you into the app and then doesn't explain anything or give like any little details about the event. Also wish you could zoom our more it's kinda hard to see sometimes with how little you can zoom back out. The zoom in on things works great but the widescreen zoom out does not.

Had this app on my iPhone, worked great, I could search for any event, including comets, and the app would help me locate it. I switched to an Android phone, happy that I could get the app on it, but it's functions are lacking. There is no search function, only preloaded objects. So, that comet coming through tonight? No clue where it's at and the app won't show me, even when I tap the notification for the comet, I get shot into the app in whatever location I happen to be. For some reason, an arrow kept pointing me to Taurus... Maybe that's the general location of the comet? Not at all clear.

The graphics are great. The GPS/compass is accurate. The downside of this application is that it notifies of cool astrological events in your area but when you check the notification to see what you're supposed to be looking at it takes you to the map and you never get a chance to read the full message unless you pay for the app. Also, you can't search for anything specific. Basically, you point at what you're curious about and it tells you. That's all.

Not sure how so many people say this is the best star-gazing app they have ever tired. Then they say they love the music, so maybe that explains it. I've tried them all extensively, and this one is the most unintuitive mess of them all. Even after turning off all the nonsense that is on by default, the grid doesn't even have a basic North, East, South, West on it to confirm any sort of orientation. Believe me, there are much, much better options available on Android.

I loved this app when I 1st got it. I liked seeing where every constellation, planet locals, & meteor showers were; plus, the music is phenomenal! However, I've begun noticing that locations of many focal points are wrong. For example, I'll point my phone to the moon. I'll see it in the night sky with my eyes, but it's not shown on the screen of my phones app. There is an arrow on screen pointing to the moon; if I turn my phone to the right, it will find the moon, but it's faulty info

Newer version. Still beautiful. Still clueless as to how to run it other than as a pretty toy. New pet peeve is things that continue to run in the background with no option to turn it off. Probably fine for most folks. -- No controls, no information, but quite responsive, and very pretty. Ads take up a largish portion of the Display on my 10 inch display. Action is a little obnoxious after a while. A toy.

Terrible performing app. It prompts you to calibrate your GPS but there is no way to do this. With the GPS off it just spins in circles. Any setting changes you make have to be redone every time you open the app. It will prompt you to an attraction with arrows but it will never actually locate what's available. Terrible app

Very pretty app, seems accurate to celestial positions. However it's very jumpy and I can't look for anything, for example if I'm seeking a specific star or constellation I have to spin around and look through all the pretty pretty aspects of the app to try to find a star. Again, very pretty but that can be actually detrimental.

I've been using this app for years now,, I think since I was like 8 or something. I love the art that pops up when you look at constellations, and the background noise is super sick. It's hella useful for the summer when I'm outside looking at the sky. Also love the notifications you get when important things are happening in the sky like meteor showers or different lunar events.
