This app was really fun and challenging until recently. They did an update and some features changed. Now the undo button automatically gets rid of whatever the wrong move was first imstead of whatever the most recent one was, making the puzzles too easy to figure out. Also, they started doing ads in the middle of each puzzle. I don't have an issue with having ads, but I wish they were before the puzzle instead, so it wouldn't interupt the gameplay as much. All in all a good app, just annoying.

Typically, I don't rate games badly for having ads, even forced ones. But this is one of the most frustrating, intrusive forced ad games I've played. Sometimes you can't even get through an entire puzzle before one pops up. Not to mention, the game itself is nothing special. Neat, but not enough for how annoying the ads are. An improvement would be one forced ad at most for every puzzle, if not every other one. If there really needs to be so many, consider creating extra content as an ad reward.

The game is pretty cool, very well developed. But it's quite difficult to say it lives up to its designation as "relaxing" when the ads are so numerous. I appreciate the game being free and all, but the ads popping up *during* pictures is a little much. Maybe an ad at the beginning or end of the picture? Great game overall, but the placement of the ads is not great. Four ads during a *single* daily image? No thanks.

it's such a fun addicting game! but I had to uninstall because of the ads. a single level can be completed in about 30 seconds yet there will be an ad jn the middle of a level, before you start a level and after you finish one...more than ridiculous. A good balance would be an ad after every few levels, this is just insane the amount of ads, very distracting and obnoxious.

Way too many ads. I will literally pay a dollar so I can either skip the ads, get them less frequently or not get them at all, but there is no option for premium. The puzzles only take a few seconds to do and then they are always followed by a 30 second un-skippable ad. Each puzzle is divided into smaller more simple steps making each part of the piece much easier to complete, and even those steps may have Ads before you even finish the piece.

SO MANY FREAKING ADS!! This is one of the most frustrating games to play. I have never gone out of my way to find an app on the App store until now. I understand that ads help bring in money to the creators and allow it to be played for free, but having to watch 3 forced ads for 1 level is awful. It's advertised as "Relaxing" but it's not when I'm constantly trying to exit an ad. And $8 for ad free?! No. Absolutely not. It has to be a good game for me to make purchases. And this game isn't it.

Could be great but it's just okay. After seeing recommendations on Reddit for games similar to the NY Times Vertex puzzle, I really wanted to love it. It does play as close to Vertex as I've found. However, the ads are ridiculous, both in frequency and length. Not only do you have to watch an ad after every puzzle, but they also pop up in the middle of levels. Plus, every ad is 3 parts, so you have to wait 3x: 1) FF 2) Skip 3) Close. I wish I could pay to make this ad-free so I could enjoy it!

A great game in theory! My 4 year old loves it too. But when there's an ad after literally every section you fill in it gets to be too much. Especially when it's racy romance novel ads when my kid is playing. It's the same ads over and over there's only like 4. And the game is constantly crashing. Uninstalled and reinstalled didn't savey progress and 2 days later still crashes

First few levels seemed ok, but ads were LOUD, and there is no option to tone down the hand-holding. EVERY SINGLE TIME I drew a line wrong, there was an instant pop-up informing me I could use the undo button to fix it. I understood the first time; the repeats were just incredibly annoying. First because having a game nag me is the opposite of relaxing and unenjoyable; second because I prefer to find and fix my own mistakes. It's not a puzzle when you literally can't do it wrong. UNINSTALLED.

Star Art has relaxing music & atmosphere. Gameplay is very basic, just connect numbers that turn into lines. The game points to "undo" button if you connect the lines wrong. You have no idea what shape you're supposed to be making, so you're just blindly trying to make lines. It'd be way better if you could choose the colors of the object you make or color it yourself. I uninstalled the game. IMO it was slow and boring. Some might like it, it can be relaxing I guess if your into it

This game is fine. It's like Vertex from the New York Times, but not limited to one puzzle a day. It works about the same and is a good time killer, but the experience is absolutely ruined by the most repetitive, intrusive, and predatory ads ever made. They don't even let you finish a single puzzle before shoving ads for casino apps down your throat. It's such a despicable act of greed. There isn't even an option to pay money to disable the ads, you're literally stuck with them. Disgusting.

The background music and the game itself are lovely and the only reasons it's still getting any stars. The ads...they are horrendously timed and very jarring to boot with no easily viable way to get rid of them (they kept popping up even with airplane mode), but the reason why I uninstalled is that this app can and will cause your phone to overheat. Badly. And very fast.

There were too many ads in the free version, so I paid for this game. Which I had no problems with - I'd fallen in love with "Vertex" on the NYT and this is a great alternative. But in the latest update, there are now certain levels that require you to view ads. The longer ones that try to force you into play and frequently send you to the app store, no matter how long you wait or how carefully you tap buttons. I get ad revenue is important, but that's frustrating if you've paid for ad-free!

This game is marketed as relaxing. It would be if there weren't so many ads. There is no clear way to remove them either. I really liked the puzzle format, but the ads absolutely killed it. It would have been one thing if it was an ad between every level, but it is in the middle of the puzzles, too. That makes game play extremely annoying. I don't recommend downloading.

The game is fun, however, the amount of ads make it difficult to enjoy it. I know they have to have ads to keep it free, but the ads should not pop up multiple times in the middle of the puzzle I'm working on. It's just too many and therefore I am deleting the app. I can play other similar games that don't have ads popping up so often and in the middle of the puzzle.

Within the options the game doesn't let me turn off auto-hints. At least give me the option. Down to 1 star now. When going to an ad it popped up with a scam that I won an iPad on a fake Amazon website. If you cannot figure out how to get rid of these scams, then I'll just uninstall your app. Oh well, won't miss it because I definitely won't miss seeing scams. You should have just figured out how to recognize the ads that are going to auto-open my web browser and kill the process.

The gameplay itself is pretty good. It's a nice time killer and calming music, but the amount of ads kills the flow. I wouldn't mind paying the $3-4 to remove them, but I don't see that option. Even if ads have to be mandatory, having them after each section of the puzzle is too much. Just place them in between solving the whole puzzle. I've even gotten multiple ads at once, so I'm not going to play until something is done.

As much fun as this game is, it has WAY too many ads! There's an ad before you start a level, after you start a level and TWO WHILE YOU'RE DOING A LEVEL! Like I understand you're trying to get some money out of this but SERIOUSLY! I just want to play your game! Not waste an hour of my life with ads! I'd love the game so much more if it had less ads. Other than that it's a really fun game. Honestly though I'm probably going to look for a different game like this or just not get a game at all.

Would be fun, but there are too many ads. There's an ad after every level, and sometimes an ad pop up before you even finish the level. I've never played a free game with this many ads. If they really need the money to keep the game running, make a premium version thats a couple dollars and removes ads. It's so annoying, and unless you like ads every 30 seconds, I don't recommend this app.

It's a very pretty game and has cute little scenes with extra line drawings but after 50 of 'em, the ads are just too much. It would be tolerable if they weren't in the middle of sections of the puzzle but on top of that they are the ads that, at best I have to take multiple steps to continue listening to podcasts for the time they're on, at worst they pause completely if other audio is playing.
