Its easy to use but one thing that bothers me so much is the places where I split and cut out parts of the video the music skips. and I don't know why. Maybe Im doing something wrong but I can stand the music skipping out. its very annoying.. If beginners I would use this app but if you want better I would seek something different. this app got the job done for the most part. I just dealt with the skipping music.. it sucks

So far there is nothing in this app I can't do in my native video editor on an S10, except sticking multiple videos together. So SPLICING is easier in this app, but there are no transition at all. While it makes creating one video file out of several easier, you'd expect it to have transitions available between them. Glad it's free. It works well for what it does, it's just not what I needed. Update: Feature was added 👍

It worked good for a moment but now my projects or finished works, won't load. I keep getting an error and asked to retry or cancel. I just completed a project, saved it and when I tried to view it, it was a black screen. I could hear the video but could not see it. I immediately went back into Splice and now the video won't load, even in Splice. All of my finished work now has exclamation points and errors showing.

Splice is INCREDIBLE! I would easily pay money for this editing app. I started filming videos on my phone and was looking for editing software that saved videos in 4k. Other editing softwares were saving grainy or blurry videos. I now film on a camera and I still prefer to transfer the videos to my phone and edit them in Splice. They are constantly making updates. When I first downloaded it, there was no ability to fade music in and out. They now have that feature and a whole library of sounds.

This is pretty good. I've made a number of videos with it and find it very intuitive and easy to use. There are some feature discrepancies I think between android and iOS. Voice overlay in post for example is not something I can figure out on my android phone, but my sister can apparently do it on her iPhone. The other thing that would be pretty awesome is an undo option for splitting clips, and possibly a merge button on existing clips within a project.

I have tried many of the editing apps and while most are good, there is always something I don't like about them. Then I tried Splice. Splice is so easy to use that I was using its many features with none of the "how do I do that" issues. Splice is powerful but not "overkill". I've deleted all the other editing apps from my Pixel 6. Thanks for a great app!

this is actually better than the previous editor I've been using (Quik) and I'm so glad I found it. this runs smoother than Quik and exports videos faster even if it's long, and the audio/videos sync up better, the videos come out the way I want them too. only thing I'd add are cool effects like maybe glitchy or trendy ones, more filters, and a better video cropping system, I wish you could actually like change the dimensions but it just makes it smaller only. great app tho

missing a couple features that would make it 5 star like importing 2 angles at the same time on different tracks, audio editing, and ability to click and drag clips. otherwise a powerful little NLE for your phone that is probably good enough for most users. easy to jump right in and get started, almost zero learning curve if you've ever edited video before. Update: new bug. When I add a transition between two vid clips (fade), the app takes me to the beginning of the timeline for no reason.

Pretty lackluster app. The free mode is bare bones and the paid version is almost $10 / mo without offering much else other than effects and extra storage (only 2 projects available for free mode). Better apps out there that offer much more. It's easy to use though, which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1.

Paid for subscription and now the app doesn't work at all. I don't know if they did an update or what but it was working perfectly fine until today. Started a new project and every other clip is just a black scene. You can see the thumbnails on the bottom as it rolling through but the preview and editing scene is just black. Kind of defeats the purpose of being a video editor if you can't see what you're editing. Please fix this or I want a refund. Literally just paid for it yesterday 😡

This app has great potential to be a 5 Star if only the program didn't glitch and turn video sections black with only the audio being heard on playback. Certain segments in the video you're creating while editing turn black and you can only hear the audio on playback which is annoying when you've spent so much time and effort into creating a great video only to see later random black screens. It's like the app randomly crashes the video segments that you split, crossfaded, text added to etc.

Was a great a video editor the past few years and then suddenly with one of the recent updates, it stopped being usable with Samsung Dex. I can't work the timeline anymore which makes it practically impossible to use the way I'm used to. The touchscreen still works in regular mode but I like being able to plug my device to my PC and being able to edit videos rapidly, which now I can no longer do. Not to mention certain free features being behind a paywall now. Nice while it lasted.

This app was great until they updated it and now you have to pay to export videos. This was my go-to app for making YouTube content (@punchduckstudios) but now I can't Even get the projects out of the app. Also whenever you edit a clip with more than one setting, it just turns the whole thing black and you can only hear the audio and see what you edited onto it, not the actual clip. Used to be great before the update, but now it's just completely ruined. Do not use this app. It sucks. ☹️☹️😮💨

I was able to create my sudden masterpiece that I felt like making out of no where, it's great, thank you so much. They've got their devious tricks to make you try and pay but just like any other free app, I'm just happy I was able to make a video that was easy to splice and move around the videos, no watermark. One video made to perfection but I don't know about consistent new projects.

I am paying full premium price subscription for features unavailable on samsung 2024! This is misleading as no where on app does it say I have to pay full price for the premium that cant function on an samsung 2024. Splice impossible to use without full range of features it has rendered app useless to me as a user. Splice wont allow to speed up multiple videos at once. I WAS a loyal customer for years! Samsung 2024 has been out for months! Why no update???

Edit 3: 4K exports have very noticeable oversaturated color. Edit 2: Exports have noticeably redder hue. Edit 1: recent major issue with distorted/failed playback of clips in projects with multiple clips. Original review: Relatively quick and easy to use but it's missing some crucial features (including project file backup/export) and has bugs that no other app I've used has (such as, most recently, audio delay after merging clips). Could be better, and I'll rate it better when it is.

Not very happy after some time with the app. Tried to sync a mp3 of a 4:00 song I recorded and the video of recording it. It's not possible! The time lines are different on every playback and then it will not remain in sync, like they're playing at different speeds. UNRELIABLE. This is simple, shouldn't be difficult. I'm frustrated, regret wasting my money now. Good for Reels and Stories and small little stitch stuff possibly, but that's it.

Love splice. very easy to use. I went with the subscription. so smooth! Tons of effects, edit color, bright, contact ect..transitions absolutely awesome and SO SO many to choose from. I like how I can simply drag my clips around on the timeline still seeing all frames, helps me know exactly where to splice/cut...almost like doing it with manual film but all on my cell with the touch of the finger! I wish there were a one time purchase, I'd pay the price if so.

Good but Issues with Audio not being synced up after an Export. Sucks cause the app is user friendly and easy to edit simple videos on mobile or on the go, I do alot of Music Reel style videos and most are for paying clients (& using music is a paid feature) it's important that things work, Audio is in sync within the app but the render file always some how comes out, out of time which is frustrating and not usable :/ also the highest render file available is 4K which sucks when using 8K footage

Had to help my kid with a class project and gave Splice a try. Very easy to use. It was the first tutorial I made and it turned out great. The only thing I found annoying was that I had to turn the volume up after voice recording. But maybe there's a setting that automatically plays recordings at a level? Overall, it saves me hours. I was able to upload a 2 min. video to YouTube within a couple minutes.
