The app definitely has gotten snappier and has much fewer errors or bugs (if any), but I just can't take in the new UI. No matter how hard I try I find myself avoiding even using the app anymore, I hate it compared to the old one and I really wish there was some way I could switch back. Hate the thought of it but I might have to fund another budgeting tool, and I'd really hate to as I've been on board with Spendee for nearly 4 years now. :(

I have used Spendee for years. it had a clean and organized design and I could easily check my balance, see how much was going out for the whole month. on the main screen, the current day would show at the top, all previous below it. slide to the right and you have the monthly overview. Recently, an update happened. now the main screen shows the whole month with future days greyed out, so i have to scroll down to find today, and there' no longer a monthly overview. i am no longer happy

This app has been my go-to budget app. I love the ease of use, the categories, and it helps keeps my finances nice and tidy. The past few months though, it's been glitch while scrolling through my transactions. It's gets stuck after about 3 swipes up. You have to click on on of the tabs below to reset the screen and then go back to where you were looking. I can't find a way to contact Spendee about the issue, so hopefully they fix this glitch soon. Looks like I'm not the only one.

I have tried many apps and solutions to help me manage and control my finances. But none have managed to reach my needs and expectations as Spendee. Spendee is easy to use, extremely helpful and informative and it just works. With it's graphs, scheduled transactions and much more I am able to better control my finances. I don't usually go for paid subscriptions, but Spendee is definitely worth it. Also the support is great. Responsive and helpful!

I loved this app and used it for about a year. After looking at many many budgeting apps, this one was perfect for how I recorded my transactions and budgeted, but in the recent update I can no longer use formulas and calculate while adding a transaction. Suddenly it's that much worse for me and I find I no longer use it. I still recommend because it works well if it has the features you want, but I will be uninstalling myself. The search continues!

I really enjoyed having the app, the layout is very nice and easy to use/navigate. However, the removal of the location feature drops my rating from a 4 in half (always wished you could pick the location without having to be in near proximity). The map feature by filter was an amazing trait to this app! Without it I'm tempted to find another platform for expense management.

I wish I could create a budget that included multiple wallets into one set amount. I also would like to be able to modify the wallet's beginning balance, even ones connected to an account. It than that, I really like the app. This is the only one I've found that allows me to customize my budget the way I want it, and yet also sync with my credit card spending.

Freezes when scrolling - can you please fix this bug? The app is otherwise good, and I'd give it a fourth star for all of the great features, but it freezes EVERY time I try and scroll through my transactions. It nearly makes the app useless, so I'm confined to inputting expenses and analyzing the overview feature without the ability to do much else. Please fix!

Great app with clean UI, appealing and powerful charts, and support team. Keep it up!! Update as of 10.24.23 -- The time for a new app may be here, unfortunately bc I really like the UI. But there's been no new updates or blog of whats going on or upcoming. Frustratingly, I bought a Pixel 8 Pro and the app will not open. There's no cache to clear either.

I have the free version of the app, and I like it for the most part, especially the simplicity, and the ability to attach photos to items (for receipts). It does not connect to my particular bank, but I am okay with that. Edit: Originally I had what turned out to be a sync issue which caused very high background data use. But I uninstalled and reinstalled (with the latest update as well) and it appears to be fixed now. Thank you, Spendee support, for your help.

I used this app for a while, it was great, I got a subscription. Then it stopped working and could no longer access my info at all. I stopped using it for a year due to this flaw and now I am being charged again. I went to cancel and the help center had "we can't help you π€·ββοΈ" (complete with shrug emoji). I ended up finding and cancelling it. I still do not recommend an app that is inconsistent like this. I really wish it was useable though.

Great app but there seems to be a bug with entering a GPS location. Once I hit the submit button it will duplicate my entry several times so it seems like I spent the same amount at a location multiple times. When I try and delete the duplicate transaction, it will delete all transactions associated with that specific entry. My fix was to just type in the location under the note portion and to not put a GPS location on the entry.

New update is horrible. Monthly cash flow being the default thing you see on the transaction page instead of your balance is clunky. As others have stated performance is bad. The new look is nice, but they could have kept old functionality with the new look. Wallet balance needs to be visible on the same page as where you enter/view transactions without having to click away. If they don't fix it up lll be looking for an alternative app. Been using this for a few years, sad to see this.

Biggest plus with this app is the biweekly budgeting. Some major down falls though. 1. If you set up budgets in Android you can't see them in iOS. 2. People you share wallets with can't see your actions in the wallet and you can't see theirs so it ends up being pointless 3. Can't change categories on "pending" transactions so they end up effecting the wrong budgets. 4 you can't set up your biweekly income. 5. Can't leave notes on credit card transactions. 6. Bank syncing is awful in android. You have to exit the app without closing it and reenter it several minutes later for it to show it did anything. All these fixed would make for an outstanding app. Mint would have you beat if they had a bi-weekly budgeting option.

I've used this app for at least three years. It suited my needs just fine, I preferred it to any of the other budgeting apps that are promoted. But the update really messed it all up. All of my recurring transactions had been replicated at least 15 times for each month, going back to when I first started using it. You can't edit labels anymore, only add. There was previously an option that allowed you to exclude future transactions from your reports. And the loading time is awful; it takes a good minute for my info or transactions to load. I was really loyal to this app and even recommended it to a few of my friends since it worked so well for me. But the update was just horrible. I wonder if this company even did any market research before wasting their time and effort on that garbage update. Fortunately, I found a new app that works similarly to the old Spendee. I've canceled my subscription, and deleted this since it's really not worth the money anymore and there's better stuff out there.

Beware! Not for long term use. I loved the UI & functionality so I stuck with the app for so long. Since past few months it's lagging like crazy whenever I open it. I reached out to the customer care and they said it's because I have a lots of data. They said they're working on a fix but its been months its still unusable. They've not optimized the app for long-term use. Even on a high-end device, if you use this app for more than 3-4 years, it'll start lagging, so be aware of that.

In the beginning versions of Spendee I loved it, worked well with very few issues. Now, i find it had to accurately track my overall balance solely from this app. The most annoying thing is that if you set up recurring transactions, your total balance is automatically deducted from these transactions at the beginning of the month- so you always have less money reflected in your account that what is reality.

The new version is very disappointing and not usable. The UI lags and is difficult to use. It takes 5 seconds to launch the app, 2 seconds for each operation, roughly half a minute to finish adding one transaction. The "Work" category icon cannot be displayed properly when adding a transaction. Hey, developer! Existing users are upset and have abandoned the app; then what kind of new users will download the app when they see an average 2.9 stars rating? Please bring back the old version!

After using CoinKeeper since 2011, I tried Spendee and was pleasantly surprised by its user-friendliness and data import capability, handling over 12,500 records from CoinKeeper with ease. Spendee's responsive customer service offered a discount on the premium subscription. However, after uploading my records, the app became very slow, especially on the accounts tab, which was disappointing. I've switched back to CoinKeeper for its consistent performance with large datasets.

Free version is a great app. IMO upgrading to paid version is not worth it. Here are the issues I faced, YMMV: (1) The connect your bank feature does not work with Chase credit cards. So the convenience of it pulling your transactions automatically, the main selling point of paid version, isn't there. (2) despite being on Lifetime Premium, the annoying pop-ups asking me to upgrade are still there. (3) Customer support tries to make you not report the issues.
