Use this a lot and it's great. Simple, accurate and clear results on my Android phone. Results agree with other checks on my desktop. Not too intrusive ads are there, fair enough they deserve something for their efforts :) Still like this so upgraded to ad free 8/19

Not sure about this app saying it monitors signals even when not running? Its difficult to turn off location permissions as the app initially insists on it. Needed to be denied in app settings. The testing itself is well thought out and gives comprehensive information.

Something has gone wrong with this app recently. Ouse an Android phone and I have happily used for a couple of years but I am now getting false information. I am on a fibre 40 circuit. 40 max download, 10 max upload. Openreach have checked circuits in the house and performance is about 35 download and 10 upload. Verified by other apps. Speedchecker is reporting 16 download and 15 upload. 15 upload is not possible with the circuit I have. I have deleted the app and switched to ookla.

Terrible. Used over 1GB of my mobile data allowance within ten minutes of installing. No warning or notification that it was doing this. I'm now out of data until my monthly plan renews in a few weeks time.

Quick and easy to use. Gives good assessment of internet and wi-fi speeds. I find this app very convenient and a useful tool. This app continues to work swiftly and effectively providing a useful history of broadband speed. My 'go to' app for reliable assessment of internet and wi-fi. Still fit for purpose and doing well.

“View previous results” never shows any: previous tests never seen to get saved. Still, I love this app because I can choose servers all over the world, which your browser-based version doesn't support. The mobile app from your competitor, Speedtest, also limits your server choice.

Since the last update, the app star scheduling an alarm every 30minutes. I could see the hour of the next alarm on the screen but it would not ring, but still messed with the not disturb schedules. My do not disturbed was terminated at most half an hour it started, it was driving me mad. Find out this app was the culprit using adb shell dumpsys alarm. Uninstalled it in the moment. Really bad quality.

Pretty good. Connection speed to AP is a nice touch. Upload speed measurement seems a bit low and is only question.

1) Says it needs precise location for a speed test, must be because there's are 100s of tests servers in the square miles I'm in, not. Other apps don't require this. 2) Think you need to test your app! Every time I press "Start Test" a pop-up says location is needed and when denied it goes back to to the "Start Test" screen and does nothing.

Really good at what it does, and that's network speed throughput, be it the internet or check the speed of you network WiFi, I've got a number of apps that do similar, but not one that checks the internal throughput of a network, so it's a keeper! Great job, and I recommend this even if you're just curious to how fast your 4G/5G is, as you can try different servers....

Says location is required, it is not. Edit: Response to Speedchecker's response. I am unable to perform an internet speed test without location permission.

Good simple app. Recently (late 2021/early 2022) it has started putting an alarm icon at the top of my phone Android 8 and 11). Thought it might be to do with the background monitoring of WiFi but switched all those options off and it's still there. Quite annoying. Uninstall the app and the icon disappears straight away and reappears on reinstall.

I've used this app for a few years on my Android Pixel and was always impressed with its functionality and ease of use. About 18 months ago I started to get an alarm icon on my lock screen which updated itself every 30mins. It is not only a visual nuisance, it also messes up the display of any real alarms I've set. I've only now realised that it is this app that is causing it ! Now uninstalled. If you fix this issue I might reinstall it.

No nonsense speed checker. Gives me consistent results, which most others don't. Also it only takes a small amount of storage. The only negative, 'which is big' is it runs in the background, every 30 minutes. That's why you get the icon on your lock screen. However I have now found you can disable this in settings

Good at what it does but ads are way too intrusive. Full screen and noisy and too long a wait to cancel. Understand that you need income to cover costs but I've uninstalled as just too annoying. Not worth bearing with the ads for the service provided. Maybe get the Internet companies you share our anonymised results with to pay out of their profits as they are the primary beneficiaries.
