Nice fun little game. However the controls are as such that you will more than likely die from accidently falling in a pit or by running into a monster you meant to avoid. The map is also hard to understand at times, when you first get it. You can also be hit and killed by an enemy from the previous screen after you enter a new, if you stay by the edge of the screen. If fixed will give 4 or 5.

Hmm, not quite a 3 but it's close. I like the audio and artwork though that doesn't normally matter to me. Controls are very clunky and dashing is slower than normal movement. This feels like it should be a PC game and NOT a mobile game. Game economy is balanced but boring to grind for. Enemies hit stupidly hard and scaling is off but are easy to manage/ignore once you've experienced them. Game progression is very forced and linear with some puzzle mechanics. Game is ok but not engaging enough.

Rather fun game. Simple mechanics, fun and versatile fight system, great exploration, simple but good story. If I was to critique anything it would be a lack of character interaction or side stories, and the fact that after the shops are built there is little use for sparklight. The currency is fun to gather but I find there is little to buy with it.

Great game, but if you have to close out of the app mid run, you lose all progress. Which means that if you want to beat the game you have to set aside an hour of time. Very very annoying. Please enable something that let's me save progress mid run so I can continue my run if I suddenly have to quit and go do something, or if I wanted to play the game for only 10 minutes while waiting in line. If you had that, I'd give a 5 star review.

Touchpad controls make movement feel pretty bad most of time. Moving across platforms can be terrible. No screen mapping for buttons makes attacking and dodging difficult when combined with movement problems. This game looks like it COULD be super fun if controller support and touch screen options were fixed. Too bad though because it seems like it has great potential. Music is great, good variety of enemies in the tutorial. Seems like the type of game that is kind of grindy, but a fun grind.

This game was actually really fun. It's a cute RPG in a classic style, and while it does have a few bugs, they don't really impact play much if at all. The one thing I would say is that in my experience the bosses need to deal more damage. The first Titan was challenging and intimidating, but by the third I didn't struggle at all, and the final boss of the game I just kept hitting the enemy and tanking the damage. Boring. And the second phase makes me think the developers know.

Honestly I want to enjoy this game. It seems like a fun quirky little adventure. But. The controls are somehow so clunky and backwards it baffles me. It's like trying to Iceskate while in a full body cast. There is zero fine movement. Which would be slightly forgivable if the game didnt have dark souls level enemy damage. You will die in two hits. Two. Don't even get me started on the items. A bow. Useless. Can't even walk straight let alone shoot something. Literally needs a whole overhaul.

Sparklite is engaging and vibrant with a storyline you could immerse yourself in for twenty minutes or for several hours. The game controls take about an hour to get used to - I recommend locking the movement pad on the screen, which you can do in the options. The art is beautiful - the swamp is by far my favorite zone. Game play can seem a bit repetitive, but there are enough side quests and varied game mechanics to keep interest peaked. I recommend this game, it is well worth the price!

Overall, it's a good game. My complain is that it is too short : you reach the limits pretty fast, exploring all the caves, buying all the patches etc in no time! And when you're at that point, the sparks you accumulate became useless and there's not much replayability other than doing it hard mode. On the other hand, the game is very very affordable so I'm not feeling scammed or what, I liked it! But I was so good it felt unpleasant to reach the limit of the game, I wished for more...

Great game but the death sequence is way over done. The biggest difficulty is the joystick. I personally find a pin-able D-pad works better for movement. Some of the fractures become extremely frustrating with the joystick, for both it's stationary and floating styles. The size and location of the buttons when both large or small are difficult. However I admit I'm playing on a small-ish screen and touch controls only do so much.

Cute & fun little zelda-clone (mechanics-wise). The characters can be a little simple, but the world is colorful and fun to explore. The dialogue can be witty/funny at times. My main issue is the controls; the game DOES have gamepad support, but the touch screen controls can be pretty troublesome and take getting used to (even vs other mobile games). The demo is completely ad-free, too. Would still download and play despite the flaws, and I think it's worth it's price for the full game.

5 stars changed to 3, MAJOR TURN OFF. If you're doing a run and the game crashes, you lose everything you earned, including the money/gems you've earned. Makes the the effort you've done, the trials you completed, blueprints, the notes you found, all of that gets wiped. Edit 3rd time, 3 stars to 1. Bought premium, but can't play it if you don't have signal. What's the point of buying this if I cant even use it. I wish I could get a refund. Do not recommend playing until they do some major fixes.

This game is a lot of fun, and beautiful to boot. My only complaints are that the controls can be poor (especially for the blimp bomb), the procedural generation is not varied enough to keep the maps interesting, and the game itself is quite grindy for resources to help push into deeper maps. That combined makes me play the game for a bit, then get bored, and months later okay it a bit more for a little while. Near-miss to potentially genius game.

I think it's an amazing game with a lot of potential and I've already bought the full version. my only issue is I find myself getting caught on parts of map design and the controller UI has me a bit confused; but other than that I love it my favorite character is the bionic widget-man and his dog and the most challenging enemy for me is the rock-pig (or Bolder-boars as I've taken to calling em lol) enemy as I have trouble timing the hammer strikes. XD p.s it's amazing keep up the good work!

Played through the free version, polished and fun game, can be grindy and the controls take time to get used to. Got to the area immediately after the first in the paid version, and a flying enemy crashes the game 10% of the time it attacks. Not worth trying to RNG my way through the next area, no bug report button I can see, this game is 4 years old. Crashing issues in the second area of the game really shouldn't be happening, coincidentally right after people buy the game.

I'm having a lot of fun playing this game so far but I've noticed a lot of issues... When you jump inside of sinkholes sometimes they glitch and make your character walk off screen and sometimes this results in death. The game itself still has a lot of lag & glitch issues and they are infrequent and sometimes the app will force close on my device but my device isn't even hot or overheating and I was able to play for hours or sometimes only like 30min. before this happens.. think we need a fix.

Sat on my Switch wishlist and then I got rid of the Switch, but this game still looked so good I finally bought it, and it's WORTH IT (it's also not $40-60, or even close)! The art, the music, the characters, the gameplay: it's ALL good. It's a rogue-like type Action adventure. It's not too easy or hard on Normal difficulty. It requires thought, but not some intense walkthrough type amount, and it's never frustrating. THIS is the kind of game AAA studios WISH they'd put out!

Few bugs: it crashes randomly after some time playing, maybe 30-60 minutes, sometimes if you kill an enemy while standing on the forge hole when it opens the character walks off the screen and forces a restart. Honestly the crashing is the biggest issue, feels like a memory leak or something, usually preceded by some stuttering and frame dropping. It also loses the license if I try to play offline. I'll buy it if I don't have to worry about technical issues. Play pass til then.

Think Zelda but you're an inventor wielding a wrench. You can find widgets across the level which help you in various ways, such as regain hearts or spark (mana). There are ancient vaults containing relics that you use in a short tutorial and then reverse engineer to gain blueprints which you then have to invent in order to use. The NPCs are cute and you can invest in their shops to upgrade them. I love this game, so addictive. My biggest complaint; it lags a bit later on and sometimes crashes.

(my first review seems to be missing, so rewriting) This game has a lot of polish; the gameplay & controls are about as good as you can get for a mobile game, and the graphics and music are just downright charming. My only issue is that you can't save in the middle of a run and come back later; you lose all of your progress in the current run if you do. This also means that if the game crashes in the middle of a run (which I've had twice now) you just lose everything from that run which is lame.
