I am new in keeping app information on my seasonal planting. This will be the second time using this for 2024. I noticed this new info will be stacked instead of the prior information being archived for reference. I am not sure how this will be helpful in doing a side by side comparison of growing the same veg in a new season but I will follow up. This has encouraged me to keep track when I am not able to write in my veggie diary when outside working.

Squash isn't listed in the app. Am I supposed to us the pumpkin option for it? I'm new to gardening. This app helps keep me in the know, keeps me organized, I can save my data in the cloud, shows me what others are planting and harvesting and when, keeps track of what I planted and will send me reminders, helps identify bugs/diseases, tracks moon and sun cycles and shows the weather for a week at a time. The ads are short so they aren't annoying at all.

Only started using this app a few weeks ago and was starting to get the hang of it and if was great. Then a wonky update stopped it opening. Updated it to the latest version but still nothing, uninstalled and started again still nothing. Am on V2.7.0. Frustrated as there doesn't seem to be any other like it. Edit- After a couple of tries we're up and running! The veg can get on and grow now... Great service from George at GVK.

Love this app! I am fairly new to gardening especially from seed and this app is so helpful its unreal! Although there isn't hundreds of veggies on the list you can add some yourself just a small bit of googling to find out germination and harvest time and that's basically it, up to you how much you want to include. I like it gives you a progress bar for those you have planted. I've spent ages looking through to see what I can do on this app and it is really impressive!

This app just got better with all the little features e.g a section to be able to monitor the growth of the plants. Would like to see a feature that can tell you 1. what type of pest is on the plant by taking a photo. 2. Being able to add plants that's not on the list. 3. Being able to delete a plant added to My Garden at the moment can't delete Otherwise a great app.

I can see this app is going to take a lot of work initially to load up with data that is relivent to my particular climate (tropical). The regions you can choose from and information supplied is for a temperate climate, so not very relevant to me. Really irritating that you have to keep resetting the plant sort order default to user choice. Support by app developer is non existent and would be a good reason for you NOT to purchase this app.

The app does most things well. I can appreciate the features, but it seems made only for temperate latitudes. The diary is useful, but being able to share notes would be good especially when extension services are being used, or if multiple people are working on the same crop.

I found the layout to be confusing and excessively complicated. There just too much information. If you need this sort of diary, it's fine, but I just needed to record my work. I don't need to include details of every variety I'm planting. I won't be using this anymore, I have reverted to a simple diary where I can record sowing, planting, maintenance, cropping etc without having to list and record the finer details of every variety used. Thanks, but no thanks. Will delete app.

Been using it for a few days and I liked it enough to purchase the premium version. The one thing I really wish for is more entries for the plant index. Sure I can manually add more entries like I did for "chili peppers" but it is time consuming looking up all the necessary data for each field and copy pasting everything. Perhaps a downloadable extension for premium users even or the ability to add entries for more plants from a database/cloud and directly add them to our plant index.

I've tried a lot of gardening apps and diaries, and settled on Sowing Calendar. - It's simple to use but does 95% of what i want to do - It supports non-US users pretty well - It's focused on vegetables, but the catalog is small - The font choice is crazy! - If you are planting something, it needs to have dome values (eg days to mature) but those aren't mandatory when entering the plant into the catalog It's not perfect, but it is a lot more liveable than other apps, and it's useful 😊

This application is great for learning crops, pest control, making notes and setting reminders. There are a few crops missing, one I was hoping to find was Lemon Balm. There is an issue with reminders though, between July and August selecting any of these dates does not allow you to set a reminder and alerts you immediately after updating. Although this is still 5* for me. Edit; Remove my adverts for finding a major issue? 😉 Edit 2; What?! No way!! Thank you so much. ☺️

So far the idea of this app is exactly what I've been looking for. I don't need to know all about the plants etc. I basically need something that reminds me when I should be doing what. But the plant list needs to expand greatly. Because the drop down option is so nice. I love that I don't need to input all the info myself with that. Please add more plants. Also, I don't love the sow near me is "nationwide"as the option. Since we have widely varying zones in Canada. Overall good base.

A most interesting & useful app, inasmuch as I was able to discover best times to sow & harvest, much about soil types, depths, spacings, etc, & most usefully, both companion & enemy plants, BUT the one thing I wasn't able to do was to "plant/sow" any of the veg into a "bed", "pot", or anywhere else, where I'd be able to watch each veg's progress. Maybe I misread what the app was actually capable of doing, but as it doesn't do what I'd been wanting it to do for me, I'm uninstalling it! Sorry!

A great little app, would be nice with more fruit and vegetables to add. I paid to add more but it would be good to be able to pick from a list rather than fill it in manually. (Maybe you could use the phones location services to match veggies by country, location and growing conditions?) This app has so much potential but isn't quite there yet. I hope the developer listens to everyone's feed back because this could be excellent!

One upgrade that should be fairly simple for developers and would be extremely helpful to users is to have a sorting option (index) according to amount of sun needed for plants. While the app is generally informative, it's got a LOT of video ads. The usefulness also has its limitations with blunders like ALL of the (nutrient) deficiencies (listed in pests & diseases) having the EXACT SAME identifying picture (after you click through to each deficiency page).

Really like the app. Have a suggestion: Provide links to seed availability for each of the highlighted veggies, and get creative and expand the selection. So many delicious veggies out there. Don't forget non-GMO and heirloom varieties! I didn't see it, but is there a timer or reminder feature as times for planting and harvesting approach? Keep up the good work.

This app has the potential to be really great! What it needs is: The ability to name specific plants i.e. San Marzano tomatoes The ability to select number of seeds planted A journal so that a person can go back year to year and look at any notes they made, and the data collected on the plants of that year. The app is otherwise well laid out, professional looking, and easy to use.

The app tells you when things should be planted in your area, which is good for a newbie like me. It also sends much needed "Did you know" information which gives tips on plant health and disease control. What I don't like is that when I see this information in my phone notifications, and click to view it in full, it doesn't show within the app. I just get a glimpse usually an incomplete sentence of something that interests me but the app itself doesn't show it. Much like click bait

Would be better with a few things: 1- if I could add a photo to new plants that I add. 2- if the text field (Like personal notes) would scroll up and down if I swiped up and down with my finger. Instead I have to grab the little cursor and drag it up and down and it goes too fast so I keep jumping to the very top or very bottom, it's a struggle to edit. 3-I need to be able to delete a plant I accidentally added twice. 4-Cougrette?? Why? I added a new plant because I couldn't find zucchini.

Great tool for my novice gardener's toolkit. I haven't come close to full utilization but so far I love it. Suggestions. Weather. Moon calendar. Choices! I like that. Sync, share data, photos, calendar, planting diary... It's as indepth as you want to make it. Ads, at least so far (after the first week), are not intrusive. But, if there is a way to turn them off via purchase option, I probably will.
