App is generally terrific! My main gripe is the inability to enter email addresses to share your itinerary with when booking a flight. That feature only exists on the website. Additionally, I've been getting randomly signed out. Even though I enable fingerprint login every time, I never get an option to use that. The app seems to support autofill but for some reason that rarely works (possibly an issue with my password manager? Hard to say...)

I worked around the problem by deleting storage and signing in again. I can't download my boarding pass. Everything else works fine, but when I tap the boarding pass button, the app stays on the loading screen forever. I had to leave the TSA line and print out a pass at the kiosk!

Not as robust as apps of Delta or United. If you have TSAPre, you have to re-enter your number every time you make a reservation. Other apps save it in your profile. When you press a button to save your itinerary to your calendar, if your flight has a layover, it saves it as one event rather than two separate events, this also is inconvenient.

The website doesn't exactly save reservations. It keeps asking for the confirmation number instead of storing for ready check in. I think it's probably a scam to induce people to pay $80 more each person to auto check in. It's a stupid scheme. Flying shouldn't be this complicated. People have enough things to worry about. All check in's should be automatic (as an optional choice) with just a texted suggestion/reminder to pre check bags.

It is frustrating to manage your reservation in this app. Once you check in to your flight, your information should be easily accessible on the app home screen like with other airlines' apps. Instead I have to find it through manage reservations, where the app seems to have to look it up and slowly load an update on the flight status each time I want to check it. Very obnoxious and not easy to use

I updated my profile in the app to request a text message notification in the event that there is a change to my flight. Despite that, a change occurred that I was not informed about. My flights were moved an hour sooner. Had I not checked, this could have negatively impacted my ability to get on the flight since I base my airport arrival time on when the flight departs. An hour earlier than the original flight time is a significant change that needs to be reported. Please do better!

I have flown Southwest for a great number of years now, and I don't see myself changing airlines. From booking to baggage to boarding and flights, their whole process has always gone smoothly. And I especially like that I can accumulate points and fly by using my Southwest credit card for varied purchases. I even get bonus discounts with the card, too. Thank you, Southwest! 👍👍❤️

In the unlikely event you aren't lit up with "access denied" errors on every single menu option, your flight information will be lost. You have to look it up from square one every time your phone screen is turned off or you use another app. This is less than useless; it makes everything worse. There are no human beings working at Southwest Airlines.

Lacks important features. Fingerprint login, no way to permanently say no. Randomly logs me out. I recall it used to notify when it was time to checkin, but no longer seems to work. No longer can get flight status notifications. I seem to only get notifications for boarding. Does not provide baggage claim info. Website says you can sign up for flight status msg'g when you make reservation, but that doesn't help a person picking up a passenger.

No 'CONTACT US' option on app. Would like to have the ability to flip from points, or cost when considerin flight options (not have to return to original search to select one or the other). Would like the ability to 'work backwards' when searching for flights by first entering my destination & then a drop down of cities that connect to dest (I wanted options to get to my final destination when held overnight in airport bc my connecting flight was canceled, I had to speak to an agent to do this.

This is an awful app and frustrating to use. After booking a flight on a computer or someone else booking it for you, the reservations are almost impossible to find in the app. I fly a different carrier whenever possible just so I don't have to use the app. The first page, when opening it, is all ads where it should be the next flight.

Excellent app for an excellent airline. It is so easy to use and convenient. Everything is at your fingertips. Easy to book flights, look up flight details, add info to your profile including TSA precheck, get boarding passes, check in, add bags, and so on. At the airport, it promptly tells you if there are gate changes, flight changes, and lets you rebook if needed. No glitches. It's quite remarkable.

Great app, we only fly Southwest. Can't beat 2 free checked bags...Period!! Booking flights is easy to do and finding deals is also easy. I wish I could get the companion pass again!! Quick edit, please put on the app under the points everyone has how much money credits they have available. I just booked 2 flights and didn't know I had like $300 available to use because you can only see it if you use the website on a computer, laptop, tablet or web browser on your phone. Thanks

It works... straightforward and easy to book flights or change flights! But it could be better with notifications about gate changes, flight changes, delays, and when exactly they begin boarding. When purchasing a ticket, they should make it more "automatic" to find our love vouchers or flight credits. Should not have to navigate to my account to find them... when I'm logged into the app, there should be a drop down with all my love vouchers! Please fix this!

THE Best!!! Of all the apps ever used this one is the best. I literally just booked a flight for my partner in less than a minute and it takes even less time to book mine because my info auto populates. I'm so grateful for Southwest keeping me connected with my family. I've flown all the other major airlines. Southwest is the way to go. Their app makes my travels seamless. Flight status, hands free checking in, boarding passes and more all in this beautiful app. Thank you Southwest!

They keep improving it. Integrating the movie player was great, and it keeps getting easier and simpler to use. A recent improvement makes it possible to keep a small TV window open on the screen while doing other things. I was having some difficulty logging in to the entertainment portal and wifi, and found that restarting my phone inflight seems to do the trick.

Typically, I have no issues with this app. However, in trying to check in for an international trip, I wake up early, wait for my checkin time, click checkin, and it states my passport info if incorrect. I confirm the info is correct and continue to receive an error. I call SW, they check in the other passengers and say everything is good to go. I go back to the app, and it's still saying there are errors. After many attempts, it finally says I'm checked in, though nothing changed

I love how you don't get charged all of these extra ridiculous fees when you fly with Southwest!!! ❤️ However, this app is very glitchy, and I sometimes have to sign in on my laptop just to buy the same ticket. The app pops up with error codes, like, "This action cannot be completed at this time. Try again later." 😓 The airline itself is fantastic, though! SOUTHWEST IS THE BEST!!! 😎

Several times it has let me go through the whole process of booking a flight, obviously using my saved payment information, only to tell me I'm logged out after I click "book." Also, what kind of app doesn't let you start a password with a special character?? No other app or website has such an arbitrary and useless rule. Lots of potential, poorly executed for a major airline

This App SUCKS. If you switch to anything else (browser, calendar app, contacts, etc ) for a split second while you're trying to book flights, it immediately backs out to the home screen and you lose all of your progress. Also, if you don't record your confirmation number, you CAN'T FIND THE FLIGHTS YOU BOOKED AND PAID FOR. Cheap airline with a cheap app.
