It is WAYYY too slow and when you go to pay, it shows an error and sends you back a step so you go to pay again and it works (after about 10 minutes of waiting) and to your surprise, it bought the other ticket as well and now you have payed for 2 tickets and will only be using 1. It is impossible to return these tickets pretty much and im thinking of just taking the bus at this point. There is nothing good about this app, except that its easier to use (not quicker) than the ticket machines

The in app ticket purchase often (about 50% of the time) fails at the point of payment and gives an error message. I then end having to use the slower machines when I get to the station. The reasons I want to buy tickets in the app are 1. so that I can collect nectar points and 2. It is quicker to collect tickets when pre-purchased

An absolute joke of an app, for some mysterious reason it works especially badly when one is close to the station turnstiles. Rest assured that as soon as you need to pass the barrier, either it does not load the tickets, or it asks the user to login again (and life is too short to learn the swr password by heart). Even if you save your card details, it asks to enter the card number for every purchase - obviously this happens when one is rushing to the station. One star is way too generous.

The new app design is very poor. Previously you could add all journey details into one screen. Now you have to put start / end location THEN go through to a 'journey' details page. I assume this is someone in UX showing some amplified search pages for other services. However the function of this app is to BUY a ticket. And the system NEEDS all the other data to get accurate pricing. Also on the second page the field to enter a Railcard is confusingly a scroll down rather than click. Poor.

App is useful and has all necessary functions. Unfortunately, at least on my phone, you can't search for connections or buy ticket using mobile data, only via WiFi. Also, when searching something and then closing the app, after reopening the saved Railcards and everything else are gone so you have to re-enter all the information which is annoying.

An utterly excruciatingly bad piece of software. Registering is painful- you have to guess the password format required. The app crashes if you lose connectivity for a second - and details entered aren't stored so you have to start again from scratch. Amusing little 'we're unable to meet your request' messages pop up at random and require a fresh start. If you manage to buy a ticket the app then crashes and refuses to display. Fortunately the staff share my contempt for the app. There are so many

Why does the app log you out when you are just about to go through the barrier and need it!!!! Happened to me twice now. One star because of this as you should not have to scramble to search through your password store to find the password and enter it to get your tickets to get through the barrier. Simple stuff! Sort this out and I wil review the score. Until then, rubbish! One star for the service also because the staff go on strike. A lot.

SWR is a simple game where you are asked a sequence of multiple choice questions and have to guess which combinations of answers unlock an actual ticket purchase. Amazingly, even after many hours of playing, I still lose more often than I win. Free to play, but contains in app purchases, though unusually for this game genre you can only buy after you win. Probably enjoyable for the masochist, but for most people I'd recommend Ticket Office instead (though that is not available on Android).

It's rubbish on all fronts. Ticket booking is terrible and barely works - I constantly have tickets that don't upload properly to my contactless card so can't get through the barriers, you can't buy multiple tickets in one go, payment system is hit and miss. Journey updates for delays, cancellations and alterations are rubbish. It doesn't integrate with delay repay.

I've just fallen foul of an utterly ridiculous regression in the latest version. It used to be that when you tapped a ticket in the"My Tickets" view, the e-ticket was displayed on the screen so you could scan it at the gate. Now, a different screen is displayed and you have to press a button to get the ticket shown. Can we please have the previous functionality back, or have the option to switch off this pointless new "feature"?

It is better than before, but I think there is room for improvement in terms of practicality. I also find that the timetable sign system in Waterloo is disconnected from physical platforms. There is no reference point for train stations, alphabetical, destination etc. For instance a train to Sttrawberry Hill can depart from platform 4 or 21. Thanks

Unreliable (one never knows when it has technical issues in booking a ticket or retrieving one -- and it happens a lot). Unreliable (it asks the user to confirm their credentials at the most inappropriate moments such as when in front of the barrier at the station trying to get to the platform and get on the train). Slow to login, slow to retrieve tickets. On a positive note, it integrates with Google Wallet/Pay -- when it works...

Useless. Keeps saying there are technical problems then when you do actually manage to find the ticket you want it's not what appears on the purchase page. Don't bother with it. Updated 16 October 2021. The latest version now let's you find the right ticket, but as others have reported, it crashes when you get to the ticket delivery option. Tried on 2 different phones with the same result. Still useless then!

The app keeps telling me in the UK that it only works in the UK and wants me to go to the website every time I press anything. It sold me a ticket for a non existing train (09:11 on the 15 June, 2024) from Basingstoke to Southampton.

A bit clunky and not clear interface at first, now I got used to it. It would be good to get tickets on the app (qr codes) rather than having to collect printed ones that never work at London's gates!

Taken a bit of time to get the hang of but works well enough for me, though I don't use it very frequently and on the Isle of Wight there's only one short bit of track and the trains aren't exactly frequent so if the app didn't work here... well!

It's a joke: Upon every action, the app shows that it's working best in the UK. But I am in the UK, only roaming from the EU. In the hotel Wifi, it works. That's not how the internet works, obviously the only problem here is a bad programmer.

I travel on many rail networks. SWR, my local network, is superior. It is not perfect hence 4 star not 5, but staff are always helpful and friendly, and trains mostly run to time with no overcrowding. I love that London to Portsmouth trains now stop at my station Fleet. I also like the rolling stock, more comfy than some other networks. One significant criticism is the lack of device chargers on some trains, e.g. Basingstoke (and presumably London) to Salisbury/Exeter. Get with the modern era!

This App as their Touch2Go card are absolutely USELESS!!! I apply for the card at a Station. IMPOSSIBLE to register it in the APP! The App itself is USELESS! Tickets bought in the App only show in the Card 48HOURS LATER! Refunds cannot be applied from the App. The Fingerprint ID cannot be used as the keyboard is hiding it and when trying to put the fingerprint, only presses the keys of the keyboard. Mainly it is a collection of links to their website and you will have to log in AGAIN every time
