Would be a great app if songs stayed in sync. There is an option to adjust the timing to get it in sync, but the delay isn't consistent and it sometimes jumps around so it needs to be readjusted every few bars. This makes it very difficult to follow along with the songs and I end up spending more time trying to sync the tracks than actually playing them. Fix the syncing issues and I'd give it 5 stars

Completely in love with this app! I've always used ultimate guitar tabs(which is complete trash nowadays) in the past and copy YouTube covers but this app makes it so much easier to learn my all time favorite songs at a incredible pace! I also loved how it has multiple tabs in one where you can learn the clean and distortion versions that each of the band members do for the song! Definitely would recommend for anyone trying to learn their favorite guitar songs

Great selection of interactive tabs. Pretty easy to use, even as a beginner. Free users get a ton of value, which is good because $120/year is ridiculous for the paid version. I've been using Songsterr for literally half my life and have subscribed only a handful of times before canceling shortly after. There should be a one time purchase option or the subscription should be $3.99 tops.

Im not sure how easy/ or if phone hardware can handle it, but a mute other track besides the one you're playing would be useful in some cases. Like when the tab maker puts an overdub track or when there is an annoying "voice" track, you could mute just those but keep the other tracks playing. Otherwise great app and great developers. The only app I've payed for.

This by far is the best app on the planet. Doesn't matter what level you are, Songsterr is a must for guitar or bass players. Pay the extra money so you can slow tempo while you're learning. No need to keep tuning up and down for those that use half step down or drop tuning. The App takes care of that also. I absolutely love this app and have turned many beginners on to it. Wish the piano tab was easier to read.

Great app to learn your favorite tunes with. The playback speed adjustment plus the tuning modification tool make it easy to drive deep into a specific track and learn it inside and out on most instruments involved. One con is that the song selection tends to become scarce when dipping into less mainstream songs or artists, but the library of tablature is extensive nonetheless.

Any problems ive had in the past end up fixed, I can tell the team cares to make this program user friendly and accessible. If you aren't subscribed, its worth it with the tools it provides you, like repeating measures, having a count in, and changing the speed. I have used Songsterr for a long time, and each tab gives you everything you need. Overall, this is the best all around app for anyone who cant afford big tab software, and frankly competes very well. I highly reccomend.

The notation for hammer-ons & pull-offs kind of sucks (it'd be nice if there is an "H" & "P" over the h-on & p-off symbols), but the catalog of songs is pretty deep & fairly accurate. It's well organized w/ the different instruments all available. The song recordings w/ adjustable tempo are handy. All around it's my favorite tab source. One other thing I think would make the app better would be for the user to have the ability to control the volume (or mute) the other instruments individually.

I can't read music. Only tablature. And I used to sit and read my tabs in silence and try to learn each song which isn't easy. Having each song played out loud to me actually had me make quite a significant leap forward very quickly. You can totally get by with this without ever paying a dime. I liked it so much that I wanted the extra features, so I bought the full version. I recommend this to anyone I know who plays, especially starting guitarists to really get a good jump on learning easily.

It's a buggy mess. Issues i've had include incosistent audio sync, looping functionality not behaving properly, notes disappearing, audio issues when changing song speed, etc. But now, every drum tab is failing to load entirely, making the app unusable for me. I'm a fan of the website, but the app really needs some work.

Been using the app 10+ years. Fantastic for people like me who don't have a good ear for picking up music naturally. Able to play along with tab, isolate instruments, replay sections, and if I choose, hear a recording of the song along with it(premium). Great for beginner to intermediate players.

I only use this for Drums so can't speak on the other instruments but the timing has always been off since if you're trying to play along the green bar is moving MUCH faster than it's supposed to and no matter the bpm is at least a note or two either behind or ahead. Which is super annoying when you're trying to learn drums. I got around this by just pausing and learning the notes from memory then using and external metronome but now it stops every ten bars unless you pay which is ridiculous

Perfect for learning just about any song. Love the tools to change speed, isolate measures, etc. Update: Bought this app before it was subscription based, STILL grandfathered in with benefits, but I would pay for the subscription in a heartbeat if I could Best app for learning at your own pace. Seeing how it's grown is truly inspiring to how I've grown as a musician. Love this app

Multi year paid user here. When youtube backing was added, it was amazing. not every song had it but once you could link an official track, it improved immensely. Now, it's garbage. You can't flag incorrect video backings. Many don't sync properly and are not official versions. Waves of Mutilation pulls up someone's personal midi backing now, and The Impression that I Get has an alt version where the vocals cut. You guys seriously need some oversight and review for this.

Songsterr, I do really like this app and this is where I get most of my tabs from. But, you need to update it ASAP. I remember when I could press play and click anywhere on the tabs and go there instantly. Now, I have to pause the auto scroll/play and click on the same spot a few times before it will go to it. It should be an easy fix, because it used to be like that in the past. But, with each new update that came out, that part has just gotten more finicky and worse over time. TLDR;PLEASE FIX

This app is pretty good for tabs but lately the app has been bugging out a lot. The tabs would be perfectly fine on a song then the next day they get messed up and it wont even be the right song just random notes being put and it doesnt make sense. Then when I try to find the drum tabs it would say "network error" but I know it isnt the network because it'll let me pick the guitar or any other instrument. Also i think its dumb that you have to pay to play a song in sync with the music.

Used to be great, what happened? When I first started using Songster, it was great. But lately, possibly after a recent update (idk), the cursor is no longer synced to the audio (of any song I've tried recently), causing the main feature of the app to be anti-helpful. The ability to "re-sync" was made available, but after several tries to get it just right, the 10ms± simply isn't precise enough to sync the audio with the gui of the app. Please fix this issue & make this safe and effective again.

This app has been the best tool I've had thus far beside actual in person lessons. Used it to learn bass and still use it. Premium is definitely worth it for anyone because of the ability to loop parts of the track and slow down the time and go section by section til you get it up to 100% speed. An excellent learning tool would definitely recommend

I've used this app/service for a long time, paid the membership on my phone and everything. It's been the best practice aid. Recently though a lot of songs I've been trying to pull up have come up with "network errors" and I can't pull them up at all. It's about 75 percent of my favorited songs. I've reinstalled the app, cleared cache for it, force stopped it, even logged out to try the songs again to no luck. Hopping online for help only showed me other people have the same issue with no fix.

Overall, not bad and worth the one time cost. I only play bass some if that's not your jam some of these won't apply. Pros: Decent song library. Saving favorites is great. Video+ tabs. Cons: Not much love for alt, anime, or some metal genres. "Request backing track" button is just there for show. The syncing between the tab and music is unreliable 30% of the time and "out of sync" slider will has never consistently helped. Sometimes rebooting helps, often it doesn't. If this was fixed it's 5/5
