More About Soda Dungeon 2

Your favorite fizzy dungeon crawler is back! The Dark Lord has locked all sorts of legendary items, loot, and goodies up in his castle behind a seemingly endless guard of monsters, traps, and treachery. Daunting? Not for you— You’ll be safe in the tavern hiring Soda Junkies to do the dirty work for you. Take the loot they bring back to upgrade your tavern, town, and armory to attract stronger adventurers, then repeat. Build your town, assemble a mighty team, and see if you can make it through the dungeon to the next dimension and beyond.
Along the way your band of merry, soda-fueled minions will encounter trumpeting skeletons, angry chefs, Dark Lords, Darker Lords, and a fairy that is just really, really trying her best. The only thing they won’t find is timers, lives systems, or a paywall. Everything can be bought with in-game currency because that’s just the Soda Dungeon way.

Custom AI Patterns! - Sick of dumb-as-rocks NPC allies? We are too. Create custom behaviors for you party using Soda Script! Even when you're not looking over their shoulders they're doing exactly what you want.

Craft Gear - Craft new armor and weapons for the adventurers you hire. Find rare materials deep within the Dark Lord's castle to make all new items.

Play While AFK - Have a life outside Soda Dungeon? No problem. Earn Battle Credits while you’re away and redeem them for loot when you come back. Even when you're not playing, you're gathering resources!

Build Your Home Base - Assembling the best party will take more than a tavern this time around. Build a blacksmith forge, a wizard’s shop, an arena, and more to unlock your party’s true potential.

Always More To Do - We heard you. You wanted more mountains to climb. You wanted more goals to accomplish. You... wanted to help people clear rodents from their property ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Lucky you, because the NPCs in Soda Dungeon 2 are ready to cough up strangely valuable rewards in exchange for completing an assortment of side-quests!

'What's a Soda Dungeon?'
-----------------------------------------

Soda Dungeon is a turn-based dungeon crawler where you recruit a team of adventurers to raid dungeons on your behalf. With the loot they find you’ll build up your town, attract better heroes, and find out just how deep the dungeon-hole goes.

Experiment with Confidence - Mix and match classes, try out loads of gear, and send them off to fight. But fear not, everyone comes home safe with all your hard-earned loot. Defeat is just part of the game :)

Free and Fair - Everything can be earned with in-game currency. No loot boxes. But if you want to level up a little faster, we may have some special upgrades for you to peruse.

Cross-Platform Play - Play on your mobile phone, tablet, or Steam and take your save file with you wherever you feel like playing. We’re told it’s in “the cloud”.

Optional Auto-Combat - Feeling lazy? We get that. Set up your party, flip on the auto-combat and let the spoils of battle roll in. You deserve a break.

Fun game for killing time. I actually like it best because I let it run the game which means I can't use other apps and I have to put my phone down. It's a great way to keep me off my phone when I'm trying to sleep or get things done. Plus the developer is extremely open and responsive to feedback from the community. Plus micro transactions aren't required at all and their benefits or lack thereof don't really change the game too much. Just a good all around approach to monetization IMO.

I was a big fan of the first game several years ago but haven't touched it in a long time. I had been playing SD2 for a while now but recently broke my phone! My first thought was if my save file would be lost, but luckily it absolutely was! I almost never leave reviews but I had to here. Great job to the team, from the mechanics to the writing, from the art to the interface. A complete grand slam!

Okay, but I prefer the original game. This sequel doesn't feel as rewarding with its progress through the dungeon, and while I thought a crafting system would be neat in the first game, I don't think it has been implemented well. With items like ores and pelts that are only used (as far as I can tell) to make other materials (ingots and leather) to then make items with, it seems pointless to make the player pay twice for crafting a material upward. TL,DR: Good moments; original is better.

Not a bad game, but to call it an idle game gives the player the wrong impression, because you can't progress in the game with the app closed. You'll get to the point where any sort of meaningful progression can only be achieved by starting the game and then leaving your device on unattended. This is because the actual combat is very slow, even with the speed boosting upgrade. So I can only really progress to higher levels while I'm sleeping and leaving my phone running the game overnight.

Some parts are better then the last one, l like the fact that you can make items now but I don't like that I have to pay at least 10 gold per item I want to craft as well as crafting is the only way to get good gesr other than finding it which is rare. Everything costs a lot and there's BUILT IN ADDS even offline I get hit with an add every 2 levels. Very mad that things cost so much and the fact there's built in adds but still a good game 5/10

A very good game to kill some time and not feel like you have to invest your whole day into. I feel like the game does get repetitive once you hit a certain point. I would like if there was a built in speed boost when you auto attack. Theres times where I put my phone down for 2 hours and look at my phone and it's still going. Also if there would be a sell all button for my inventory that would be nice. Overall a very fun game with great improvements from the first

Not as good as the original, but still very, very good. 9.5/10, the gameplay loop is simple yet effective, the dungeon is as fun as the first game, albeit a bit less diverse in environments an enemies. The Dark Lord is super weird and funny, the other charecters are...fine, I guess. The actual gameplay is quite fun, the addition of back attacks is definitely an improvement. Overall, great game but not as good as the first title. Play them both!

Best idle game I've played. Syncing your save between the mobile and Steam versions is easy and seemless. Gameplay is fun and can be a bit technical if you want it to be, but is otherwise simple and easy to play. Lots of upgrades to choose from and ways to customize your characters and tavern. Mobile version has ads and Steam version does not, but I went ahead and paid for the ad-free version. It was well worth it!

I enjoyed it for a while, until things really slowed down and got very tedious. The inevitably long waits to get through the dungeon are really annoying, and boosting the speed doesn't do much to help. Also paid to remove ads from the game, but all that did was remove the tiny banner ad I had no problem with during battle. I was still bombarded with loads of ads for everything else though.

This is one of the best idle games I've played, and it's only optionally idle, the normal gameplay is good as well. My only problem is popup ads every once and a while after dungeon runs, but I can look past those to give this game 5 stars. The implementation of ads in every other way is fair and optional, and you can eventually buy the ability to get rid of ads with gold in the game.

Fun just like the first one! The main problem is that the runs take a long time, even when skipping ahead levels. I wish there was a fast forward button. You may have to buy that for a lot of (in-game) money or buy a bundle for it, but you have to go through at least 4 prestiges, which equates to like 1000 levels. Happy it works offline!

Crashes not quite fixed - Boss Rush freezes and crashes. The Google drive backup method also doesn't work - the file cannot be imported from a phone to a tablet, for example, because the contents couldn't be read, pretty much, on import. What's up with that? Otherwise, very fun for a passive experience with light humor and good game play. One big missing feature would be to allow it to play in the background rather than requiring screen focus. A real battery killer, hence me wanting to move it.

Great so far. I love the old school feel. Lots of incentive to play. Flaws, when leaving a dungeon, it says progress will be saved. After MOST ads, it's a blank screen and restart is required. My progress is NOT saved. This includes voluntary ads. A lot of time is wasted messing with this. I'm a little too bitter to pay for no ads. I haven't had enough fun because of this

It's a decent time waster... not very hard. Doesn't take phone battery to bad. Leave it on and let it go. But there's not much to do in it, honestly. You do upgrades to gear and meeples, let it run, or don't. If you don't, you can run through 1440 levels on fast mode. But can't progress. Did all the accomplishments. Got past 10k level. Looked at crazy people doing 1m+ levels and am letting this game go. It was enjoyable.

This game overall is pretty phenomenal. The battle credits are genious, it's a decent balance between upgrading your tavern and slappin' monsters, and it takes a good while for it to get repetitive. A few issues with it though to me are that the "boss battles" every ten levels are kind of underwhelming (they should be harder, farther apart, and should drop special items here and there) and that you shouldn't have to grind for so long to unlock simple cosmetics like eye color.

Love this game, but it crashes after every single ad, making me not want to play it. I've tried troubleshooting it through my phone and it doesn't do anything, I don't loose progress but if it happens after a dungeon crawl it's like it never happened I don't gain anything and it takes me back to beforehand, super annoying.

Seems fun but crashed without fail. I'm interested and would like to see how far I can get I'm the game but after the tutorial and unlocking a few more things, once I finish a dungeon trip and receive rewards, the game crashes every single time and does not save the last dungeon trips progress. This is game breaking since I cannot progress.

It's an amazing game with great graphics and good mechanics. However there is an issue where when you watch an ad for extra rewards or to claim certain items, it happens to sign you out or exit the game, and it becomes a big issue, especially when you have to sign back in and there happens to be no noise or no music, and/or you have to start from the beginning of a dungeon or you have to start everything over. So until they fix that, 4 stars.

Much like the original soda dungeon I played when I was younger, but better in a lot of ways. One major improvement you could add is to fix class leveling. When I unlock a new class and start playing with it, I have to do 15 runs with it to catch it up to my other classes because once you gain enough EXP for a level, it doesn't let you gain any more. If I bring a full party of a level 1 class and do 300 floors with them, I should get at least 5 or 6 levels, maybe more or less but give us exp

This game is great when it's not aggressively force closing. The game will reload if you tab out. All of the ads exploit this by taking you out into multiple screens that load after another. If you cam even click the x. The x is smaller then this x. You have to turn on airplane mode to play. A ad plays at the end of every run which can destroy hours of progress. Great game though for a phone game especially. Pay or airplane mode and no "rewards" for watching ads. 8 / 10 game play.
