I was excited at the thought of knowing what was going on with my washer and dryer through this app.....until I started getting random notifications about a load that is almost finished when nobody is home and nobody is using the washing machine. I got another random notification that I was low on detergent. I go in the app and it tells me the level is good. It could be a great app if the bugs are worked out.

Update 06.02.24- Even after changing battery activity as suggested there has been no improvement. I just got notified that cooking is completed 20 minutes AFTER I finished eating. I find the delayed notifications unhelpful. Being notified 20 to 30 minutes after the cook time ends or the timer goes off could be worrisome. Update 10.23.2023 - deleted & reinstalled app. Appears to sort of be working now. It's very inconsistent.

Edit much later lowering a star: I'm sorry, but a timer either works as a timer or it doesn't, and the combination app/stove does not on either my or my wife's phones. The notifications from the stove timer will come in anywhere from a few seconds to a few hours after the end of the timer. Still have the app installed, mostly for my washing machine as getting a "wash is finished" notification an hour after the wash is finished hasn't (yet) ruined dinner.

Won't connect through WiFi or Bluetooth to window AC. I didn't expect it to tbh. This technology rarely ever works anymore. Update: it finally worked after I allowed the pairing option access to my contacts and history. Not sure why this option was needed for an air conditioner but hopefully they can reach my friends better than I can.

I have all GE appliances and installled the app for two of them. Added my fridge and stove top. It notifies me of nothing useful. I can't control anything. The most important thing for the fridge is: WHAT ARE THE TEMPERATRES? Nope, not there. And the App notifies me when the Stove top is turned on, BUT NOT WHEN IT GETS TURNED OFF. So it makes one think it has been left on. I can look at the app and see when it is on or off But this is a useless app full of basic info and click bait.

Okay, but annoying that 99% of the time I open the app to turn things on or off and it opens in the self-help. If I want the self-help, I would go looking for the self help. This needs to be fixed. It drives me batty and I am close to uninstalling and going old school and pushing the buttons on the machine itself. I will up my rating once this is addressed.

Garbage app for the opal ice maker 2.0. ice maker disconnected randomly. Tried removing it from cloud and re-addig it. Had to uninstall the app just to get the ice maker to reconnect. Sits on finishing cloud setup for forever. Update: The android app finally works with re-connecting the Opal 2.0 consistently. Suffered through this for almost two year and am thrilled it is finally working.

Works inconsistently. Try to add a new appliance & it hangs up at different stages. Times out early or implies you entered a network password incorrectly/tried to connect to the wrong network. App sometimes overrides user input & continues whatever failing path it's on unless you force stop. Additionally, offers to update in the middle of a wash cycle which would stop the machine—it should be smart enough to wait.

While I love the 2 in 1 washer/dryer combo and there has been a lot of thought put into it. The opposite of that could be said about this app for that washer/dryer combo. The app has all kinds of stuff like storing recipes and what not. None of those reasons are why I got the app. There is very little I can control from the app including settings and ability to turn it on (I can turn it off). There are about 4 setting I can control and that is it and in all honesty I have never changed any

Everytime you go to the home tab it makes you wait while it communicates with every device. You can't do anything until it pulls the status from all of them. Updating should be done in the background so I can still click on the menu or select a device without having to wait. 2024 and the app st ill can't communicate with the devices in the background.

Needs work. Very difficult to connect appliances. Spent a few hours trying to connect my fridge, still can't do it and I'm pretty savvy with this stuff. Tried to connect the dishwasher, wouldn't connect and I gave up on it quickly bc I knew it wasn't gonna work. I was able to connect our oven which is cool but I had to troubleshoot to do it. It should not be this freaking hard!!! And the illusive sticker was not where the app said it would be. If you get it to connect, good for you! Good luck!!

Even though my dishwasher is a GE Profile, the app wouldn't connect to it unless I selected the "GE Appliances". So that was confusing and frustrating. And, I couldn't figure out how to update/change the dishwasher pod inventory. Finally, by accident, I swiped left to scroll over to the correct number, then saved. I set my "Custom" cycle to rinse and was able to start the dishwasher from the app. Very nice!!

Don't know if it's the app or the appliance, but I keep having to remove and add the same washer. Many times it won't connect. I get to the end where it's being added to the cloud then it fails to add. I gave up the last time. Standing in front of the washer for 30 minutes trying to connect just adds to time is supposed to help save. It would be a 5 star for all the features it has if it actually worked.

This AC runs nearly forever. If it does shut off it will start back up within seconds. The internal thermostat is never accurate, it will indicate that it is at least 5 degrees colder than the actual temperature of a nearby thermometer. Compressor is very loud with an annoying hum. The air sampling feature is in itself annoying as well. Coming on for 10 seconds and turning off, about every 5 minutes. Considering selling and going with different manufacturer.

I use SmartHQ to manage two A/C units. Sometimes it works, but the app gives the wrong status! If I go into settings from the app, it will show the thermostat set to 86° or the status wrong. When I try to change it, the app will require multiple attempts before it might "show" what I am trying to set. Today the app is showing completely different info than what the A/C is showing, and I just rebooted the network. It's not a very reliable or useful tool if I can't count on it to change the A/C's.

I'm not able to control much from the app. I can't restart the dryer from my phone, which I was hoping to do. Tech support couldn't help. You can "remote start" from your phone, but you have to physically set it up first on the machine. It's just easier to use delay start instead of having to remember to start it from my phone. For these reasons, I dont use the app. The one nice feature is that the app allows it to connect up to Alexa, which notifies me when a cycle completes.

Piece of garbage app. It wants all my persomal information, but after that, it just doesn't function. It won't register my AC, even when I enter in its correct info, then it wants me to log into my AC's wifi, but then the app complains that I have no internet connection and won't do anything. I am an experienced software engineer, and I am completely disappointed with this app. The user experience is completely rubbish, and all I want to do is set schedules for my new AC. Do better!
