So many adds and you can't group two lights together. So you open the app watch an add, then turn try to turn on your light, you watch it add, change your light color, go to your other light bulb and you watch an add. Every button you hit you need to watch an add first. So ridiculous. Might be worth it if they're able to group lights together.

Okay I had to download this to use an automatic cat feeder and the app is so bad I may return the feeder. It takes a long time to load initially, then goes straight to an ad pop up, then the try to sell you the pro version, then you have to deny turning on notifications. Every single time you open the app. Awful

The amount of advertising is unbelievably annoying. Every single time I open the app, some ads come up. Plus the camera loose the connection sometimes. It is ok for the price you pay but the ads are on another level. I wouldn't have bought this camera if I knew from the beginning about the ads through the app.

Do not buy any product that requires this app! There are additional fees, and as soon as you log out of the ap, the devices don't work. There are too many adds to many places to have accidentally clicks to random websites. The cat feeder keeps saying it is offline, very annoyed with product and app.

The amount of ads just to use my light is horrible I sadly use this light cause the ones my roommates bought were out and their app has no ads and no problems whatsoever, this one I touch my phone screen and there's an ad I get done waiting for that ad and there's another one right after. Why do I need to pay 4 bucks a week just for no ads on an app for a lightbulb? Definitely just going back to a regular light bulb cause at least then I don't have to watch an ad to turn it off or change color

These lights work... But not on 5g. The app is the worst. Ads every 15 seconds until you pay $20 to disable the ads. Don't buy these lights. I had the same lights with the same app 3 years ago and they worked great and the ap had zero ads. Now they blackmail you into buying the ap cause it is unusable with the number of ads.

I get that devs need to make money, but it is nearly impossible to set anything up because of how many ads there are and they're so difficult to deal with. At least give me an hour or so to try the app and then either ask to pay or push ads. Deleting meanwhile.

CONSTANT ADDS. this app is so scammy. There are adds every ten seconds and even when you click the x button it opens the link anyways. You can hardly change the light color because of all the adds. They want you to pay to stop getting adds which is gross when I already payed for the lights... boooooo.

Absolutely immoral and deplorable. They allow you to have a "limited version" instead of paying a monthly subscription (to use the item you've already paid for). However you must select to use the "limited version" repeatedly, after every single thing you select, and are spammed with adds and more harassment to upgrade to the paid subscription while you do so. It's this kind of invasive and disgusting form of bullying advertising strategy that should be banned. Do better.

I will definitely never purchase these light bulbs Wi-Fi/Bluetooth. This app sucks. I will never recommend it to anyone. Every time you try to use a function to either turn on/off or change color or dim/brighten it will force you to watch an extremely long and loud add. This app will force you to pay for the monthly or lifetime subscription just to use the functions. Very disappointing. I am returning this item back to the store. If I could give it a 0 star rating I would!

Every attempt to change the color of you lights without premium it'll propt you get premium then If you choose to continue on the "limited version" (the only way to close the prompt without paying) it pushes you into a 5 second skipable ad, unfortunately even if you're patient and watch the whole ad without skipping the light won't change. To bad I can't even test the colors on my light projector. The app is genuinely unusable without paying for a subscription on top of the product purchased.

This app is the worst. It's only purpose is to take more money for no reason at all. You already paid for the lightbulb and it's advertised features, but you can't use ANY of those features unless you pay for a subscription, which isn't described at all prior to purchase. On top of that, the initial setup is abysmal and only made worse from the constant ads that pop up every two clicks. Worst scam in history, please return the lightbulbs if you can and buy something worth your money...

needs to be an option to group sets of bulbs together to work together ******************************************************** Dropping this to a 1 star at this point. Applications sends notifications every other hour. Yes, it can be silenced but it's a light app.. You're not making any updates. Still unable to group lights together to sync. You should really get on that.

It won't even work because it keeps popping up with an add to purchase ANOTHER SUBSCRIPTION on top of already purchasing the kit. Everytime I touch a color to change it to. A pop up comes and tries to get me to subscribe. I close it, THE COLOR DOESN'T CHANGE. I then click the color again... SAME SUBSCRIBE POP UP. Guess what? Color didn't change. Absolutely unusable. Returning tomorrow.

I usually give really good reviews, but not this time. This app is pretty scammy. It has a free "limited" version and a premium version. The limited version lets you connect the light bulb, change its color about 5 times, then it stops working completely. Even if you watch the ads. So you are forced to buy premium if you want to change the light more than a 5 times. I would have been fine if they were up front and honest about the fee. But they aren't.

Horrible ad and data farm. Constantly trying to get you to subscribe to control lights you already paid for money for. If I had tried to install the app before going through the work to install the lights, I'd send the lights back for another option. The Novostella lights Sturm good, but the app is one of the worst I've ever experienced. Un-installed and will not attempt again.

I just connected my light and found the app to control it is horrible. The light seems to function, but creating a FREE account to use the app COSTS a verification fee. If you plan on using any feature other than off/on you need a subscription or $80 lifetime purchase for the app. As soon as you push any buttons in the app you get blasted with ads, many seem to be designed around the apps layout making them deceptive and hard to identify what is an actual button in the app.

This app sucks on so many levels it's not even funny. I've sent in complaints and email them concerning the overwhelming ads that cause the app to be almost useless, but I don't get a response. Recently had to uninstall the app and reinstall it four times and it still didn't work. Ended up installing it on a separate phone in order to finally turn the lights white versus a dookie beige color. This app is an absolute disaster. Wish I could give NO STARS.

Colors constantly get stuck annoying too many ads that stop you from using lights, and they try and charge you fees to use these. That's robbery. The adds never stop when you try and change a color. Pretty much have to uninstall and install every time u want to use it 15 min right there. Remote turn off gets ruined everytime the ads start. When you try and do anything amiss. Ads never go away, they know. You are asked to su scribe endlessly, so much so that the product won't work and gets stuck.

Don't use this app or buy products that require it. I bought an eightree plug for a light and after downloading the app, navigating all the adds they force on you because I didn't want to pay $4/month or more to be able to turn a light on and off, I finally got it paired. But as soon as I log off the app doesn't work. It also does not work with Alexa, though it says it does. Terrible product, worse app. Spend your time and money somewhere else!!!!!!
