Updates have completely changed my experience for the worse. I used to have plenty of pre-set lighting options for my patio lights. Now, there are no pre-sets available. My previous setup has been wiped out and re-adding my lights has been an exercise in futility. I miss the original app's user-friendly functionality.

Ever since the new app update on 3/22 the app is so laggy and unresponsive. This is extremely annoying and frustrating. Every light on my 1st floor is LightingInside brand bulbs controlled with the Smart Life app and it doesn't work one quarter of the time anymore. Takes minutes for a group or room to open, then it doesn't react when you change the settings. Then about 2 minutes later the lights change. This is extremely disappointing, and infuriating.

Update: Looks like all my issues have resolved. I now have all device functions, controls, & options available to use again. Don't know what happened, but app works as intended now. Recently lost key functions, and certain device controls as well as device options that used to make my experience of viewing and operating my Bulb Camera, a pleasant one. I use to really like using this app.

For some reason the switches will randomly disconnect and reconnect. Makes for a bad situation when it's of course right when you need to use it you notice it's no longer connected. Sometimes also it will not run the task when set for auto on or off on one switch but then you can still use the app to control.

What on earth is going on with this app? This used to be a fabulous app but now I never know if my lights are on or off unless I am in the same room! The app will show them as being on, but the lights are actually off. And when you try to set a timer, it still shows the light as being on even when it is off. Or the timer doesn't count down on the app but it does on the device and the light actually turns off like it is supposed to. Please fix whatever you changed that is making this act crazy!

New update caused bugs and made using my device more difficult. I use an automatic cat feeder where you should be able to set a time for it to go off. I can not set any more times, it won't update them. I got this device so I could leave for a few days with out having to worry about it malfunctioning with out know, it will send a message saying power off. The only way you can update times and feeding amount is through the app

On the latest update, there is no way to actually log in on my phone. The login button never becomes clickable, and this is true even for the option to create a new account. There is no option for customer service. Additionally, the app seemed to lack features even when I could log in. Additionally, the apps which are meant to work with the app need to be regularly refreshed in the app or they become unusable. Since there is no customer support, I can only send my complaints here.

changing to one star, previous update has completely broke the app, I can no longer connect my smart plug, after my wifi connection dropped out for 2 mins, and shows offline when my lights are just turned off by my amazon echo dot, but I'm not the only one having the issue, so the app is completely useless l, until smartlife can pull their head out their butt, I'm annoyed, hoping this will get fixed ASAP!! Funny thing to is my router says it's connected, ugh.

This app is totally useless. It tells you nothing about the status of your dehumidifier. Big deal you can turn it on and off. The percentage of humidity is not even displayed correctly, it shows as a single digit. As an advertised smart device it should give you the current water level in the tank, the current humidity level and much more. It should also send you status alerts. USELESS!

Up until the last update this app has run my five light switches faithfuly every day. Since the last update a switch becomes unavailable from Google assistant. It will work in smart life, but it doesn't appear as a device on my network. After trying everything else, I replaced the switch. I can run the automations in Smart Life, but not in Google home. There are some disconnects between the two apps.

I have my heaters connected. They're in WiFi. You can already communicate with them. Quit trying to steal location data and badgering me for access you do not need. If Bluetooth is required for pairing then if I click add a device, tell me you need Bluetooth and let me temporarily enable it. You don't need location data for anything. I'm a hairs breath from just not using the app and blocking them from my WiFi because you are pushing so hard. This is me pushing back a tiny bit.

The 3/22/2024 app update not only didn't fix the bug that causes frequent random connection issues, it actually created a new one where the "tap-to-run" feature doesn't work anymore. It will timeout. Doing the actions individually works (mostly), but defeats the purpose. Bonus: the chatbot seems to be programmed to make a frustrating problem downright infuriating.

It works OK most of the time, but lights sometimes disconnect and have to be reconnected, sometimes requiring resetting the lights and going through the add device process all over again. Also can't have more than one light in music mode. Tried many ways to have all my lights in music sync mode but it won't work. Trying to use a tap-to-run task doesn't work. All it does is change the lights to red. Works well with Alexa, when it works.

The 3/22 release introduced a new bug that's incredibly annoying! Seemingly at random, the device will stop responding to all commands from the app, including power on/off. I have to force-close the app, clear the cache, then restart the app. At this point, the device is showing as "offline". When I tap it, the device screen shows the offline popup. But when I go back to the previous screen, the device shows as online again and now responds normally. This started happening after latest update.

It is a fairly decent app. However, when internet drops it becomes challenging to bring devices back on-line. A big drawback is you can't do it without being on the same wifi network. You can turn lights on/off remotely but can't bring them back online remotely. Lastly, after arranging your devices in a specific order, the app rearranges them and believe this is done when the app updates....big inconvenience. 😏

Assuming you have a factory reset device, or you've reset your bulb to a blinking state, the automatic connection detector is incredibly ineffective at what its supposed to do. I've tried multiple times with this app and this particular bulb, one time I was successful and that's the only time I've had the bulb function properly. Now I needed to change my wifi name, so having to go through the factory reset again. Connecting to this bulb is a nightmare & the 2 minutes it takes is a waste of time.

I really love this app. it's super easy to use. it's user friendly and it has enough options to keep me happy anyways. it doesn't do EVERYTHING. but it does enough for me to consider it a great app! the easy user ability is my most favorite feature of this app. it connects and pairs quickly & easily. your not left scratching your head all annoyed cus you couldn't figure out how to pair things. I really do like this app alot!!!!!

No customer service provided. I've reported several issues that I encounter with a connected device but no response, no fix, nothing helpful. All my feedback, remains "to be processed". Settings for connected devices are lacking. Faq is worthless and provides no solutions. No way to calibrate devices, no software updates in app. On devices that have camera, photos are always blurry. I'm about ready to trash all the devices that I have connected in this app. Takes up way to much space. Junk!!

Overly engineered app easy to get lost in a sea of options. Its been hours since ive installed it and I have not figured out how to effectively excecute the "turn light on from sunset to sunrise" very frustrating. I am currently looking for another app that has a user friendly interface that can facilitate controlling a simple switch without havin to go through mission control.

I am so incredibly disappointed!! DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS! I bought the moisture meter to check my indoor plants and their app is completely unusable! I used it with no problem for about 30 minutes and loved it. Now, it asks me to clear the cache and restart every time I open it. I did both (and restarted my phone) multiple times but it did not help. I will have to return the moisture meter because it's completely useless without the app. I'm so bummed I have to search for another product 🫤
