Wasn't able to set up the account even with the help of customer support, who just sends me to the local bank or to the faq articles. Don't see a point of going through the trouble of setting it up if you have any other methods of identification.

Registration flow is terrible. App just goes into black screen of death and you can't do anything. In the screen where it asks for personal ID, if you switch to a different app and back again, SmartIID becomes unusable...

Response2 to devs. Im forced to use this app for making transfers on a banking app. No other options provided. Not even getting notification after transition to a new device. Why I'm forced to share my ID and bio info with a private, 3rd party? Why I l'm forced to go through face ID on a new device while I have an active smartid on prev device? Why i cant set MY period for the certificate? Why Im not able to use MY gpg certificates?

EDIT. Yet another government-run impotent application with 1000 extra steps for renewal, relying on multitude of different private run companies in order to make any registration or renewal process as convoluted as possible, forcing users to give up their biometric data. Oh and I'm not "free" not use it. I have to you use or be cut off from all banking services.

Push notifications doesn't show up. Trying to transfer money via swedbank. It gives me a code but nothing appears on smart ID. Worst app ever

works great, no ads. Only fault is that it never opens automatically when it wants me to enter a pin (edit: this problem has since been solved)

Forced to use third party app to reduce security. Edit after 5 years, still not woth what it has replaced, performance did improve, now up to 80% of notifications get past. If I had a choice, would have sticked with code card, more convinient and secure.

Useless! Impossible to register with ID since this app requires to download an extension, which simply doesn't work on any of the browsers. Leaving no option but to physically go to a bank.

A challenge to go through registration. A technical issue one after another. Even with the help of the customer service rep, I wasn't able to register with my ID card. The app was taking the photo of it before it even had actually fitted into the required frame. After the 11th attempt, it did. Then the NFC chip wouldn't scan, though it perfectly worked on ReadID Me app. In the end, with the same hassle taking a photo, I managed to register with the passport. Not all have a passport, though

A widely used app. Used to work perfecty, but recently it started requiring wifi to work. I checked my data limits (no limits set), 4G network is on (other sites open-up), all notifications and all permissions are set, yet smart-ID does not work without wifi on my phone anymore.

Edit: developer quickly answered and helped understand issues and causes. Good support! App is great for me again :) I was using it on older phone, but now, on new phone, I can not complete setup - it does not offer biometric option at all! I tried uninstal and instal several times. I am confused, why no biometric option anymore :(

Worked normally for months, but then Smart-ID messages would no longer appear on my device. I spent a lot of time reading help pages and checking a large number of settings. Everything was the way it was supposed to be, yet the app had become unusable all of a sudden. Very disappointing.

after inputing all the bank details only then it checks for latest release. And surprise surprise, had to reepat the process all over again because update check wasn't first thing on a list. Also, when pressing ok and next on tutorials pop up, nothing showed up. Edit: It's 2023, and it's still garbage, impossible to register on a new device. Each option fails, or leads to some web forms that require sketchy plugins (that also don't work), as well as leading to removed youtube videos

Created an account without issues, and have been using it ever since - the majority of online services in Estonia support this app as a login method. Its very fast and convenient. After 2 years of using the app, it had never failed me, did not have any issues so far. Keep in mind that if you have Blokada or something similar, it will block app notifications, so you would need to whitelist the domain that Smart-ID uses.
