For an app, it's really useless. The share dropdown randomly goes missing for days. Offer zero customization to make it any better than the website. It's annoying to have to switch to the frontpage tab instead of the "for you" tab each time I open this app without any option of switching the simple default. The only thing this really offers is the ability to send my phone with more notifications, that only works sometimes and is almost always delayed even when set to instant.

This app is a great idea, but I've become annoyed by the push notifications that are not triggered by (or even remotely related to) the deal alerts I've created. It sends me promotional ads in the form of push notifications that I am not able to turn off. For this reason alone, I can no longer tolerate it being on my devices. Please consider adding a setting to disable these. The app settings show 6 switches for notification types and I have "Marketing Notifications" turned off.

The lastest changes have brought on some problems... Mainly the inability to turn off the frontpage deal notifications. You can "limit" them, but not turn them off. You can also customize your front page deals by selecting topics that you do not wish to see (nice feature in theory) but the app doesn't save all of those preferences and the app becomes unresponsive after that. They basically turned on too much functionality too fast.

Great deals that have save me tons. And yes, there are tons of apps like that but this one is different. It's so well designed. It's already set up by category and then deeper by category, but if that isn't enough, use the search bar. It saves on time and frustration. Here's an example from a couple months ago. We were looking for a present for a cousin's birthday. He really wanted one of those OLED TVs. My parents spent days if not longer scouring the internet looking sales. It took me 3 min.

Wow the new layout is TERRIBLE! You guys sure know how to keep making things worse! This app used to be good. Just like SD. Then they started trying to change too many things. Currently it crashes non-stop. If I look at a deal, a laptop for example, 20 minutes later I'll get a notification asking me if I'm still interested in laptop deals and to hurry before this deal ends. Shill garbage. This whole thing is just trash now. Hedge fund sellouts!

Need a way to check all your previous comments!! Please add that!!!! Blank comment issue is NOT fixed on Android 7. It's often blank and you have to click on it to load. It needs to load all comments immediately. Also when you click on a deal alert notification or someone quoted you notification, I hate how the app doesn't open and take you to the proper page; instead it shows you an old page you were last on and you have to hit the back button to go to real current notification page.

Great app that has served me well for a long time. Please fix the bug where when I click on a notification, and the app was already running from an earlier session, that the notification takes me to the old item I was viewing, not the new one I was notified about. Kind of defeats the purpose of a notification doesnt it? New bug now happening Dec 8: clicking on a notification takes you to the screen to edit the alert, not the deal. Please test more thoroughly before releasing future versions.

I've been a registered user for over 10 years, and the app never gets better. In fact, it has gotten worse. The loading speeds are significantly slower than a browser, and you can't post photos for a deal via mobile app. In the past 2 days, the app just crashes immediately. I've cleared the cache, uninstalled/reinstalled, etc... And nothing helps. I advise you to just use the website on your browser.

This app has been perfect for years, however in the latest update it seems to default to a For You tab upon launching the app instead of the Frontpage Deals like before. There appears to be no setting to change this. It's just one extra tap, but a poor experience nonetheless. Please add a configuration to allow the user to choose which screen to display when the app opens. Thanks.

Something happened with the latest update. It feels sluggish and buttons don't respond well. For example, after I checked out a deal notification and press the back button on my phone, slickdeal app goes to a blank page instead of the front pace. When I'm reading comments and want to go back to page 1 by pressing the left arrow, nothing happens and I have to use the '1' button instead. Scrolling through the deal list has also gotten sluggish and choppy. Overall a bad update.

I love slickdeals and the community, but this app sucks. It is slow as hell, especially if you are trying to scroll through the deals. The slowness seems to be caused by the ads. There is also reduced functionality when compared to using the site with mobile browsers. Many times the deals are duplicated in the list. The ONLY thing that this app is good for is the notifications. They should make the notifications link to the website instead.

This app is incredibly laggy when scrolling through deals. I am not sure what causes it but I do not experience the same sort of lag with any other apps I use. This occurs on my LG G6. Update: This app has gone from bad to worse. Since the update, now the app gets stuck and doesn't allow swiping between sections and instead selects the item my thumb swipes on. Don't know if that makes sense but you'll know it when it happens. Better off to use the website I guess.

This would be a decent app if it weren't for the very frustrating popup that always wants you to refresh for no reason. I often open up the app and it immediately pops up before I even get to look at anything. And if I refresh, everything marked as "new" loses that label. On top of that, refreshing often doesn't bring anything new, meaning there was no reason to refresh. Please give us a setting to turn off this very annoying feature so the app can be usable.

Love the site, but the mobile app has never worked 100% right on any of my phones. Many times I get a notification, and when I click that notification it opens the app to the page I was previously on, and does not open the listing for the notification that I clicked on. Also, filters and sorting don't work in search on my Note 10+. The "sort by" works if you change it, hit back, and then re-search, but I've found no way to use filters...clicking one simply does nothing to the actual results

You'll either save a lot of money or spend money you didn't plan to because the deals are so good! Edit: The newest update changed the colors (which is whatever) but got rid of the ability to view deals in a compact view. As it stands right now, deals are too spaced and there is too much empty room/scrolling between deals. Please add the compact view slider back to the app.

I have been a member for many many years, and I love the app. However, the notifications have started firing hours after deals are posted. About 95% of the front page deals don't fire a notification at all. No luck at all with uninstalling and then reinstalling. There must be a bug preventing them from firing... Too bad! This would be a 4 or 5 star app otherwise... I had the same issue a few years ago because of faulty programming. Seems S/D screwed it up again! Fix it, please!

I've always loved slickdeals, and I love the new UI. Great interface, smoother than the old version, less lag! Update 6/2022: for a couple of years now, across different phones...when I click on a specific notification I'm taken to the last item I browsed in the app (the one I clicked on, usually doesn't load, even if I wait). App cache issue? What's the deal here?

I wish there was a way to customize my view of all the deals. The app just takes too long to use. If you miss going through the deals for a few days you have to scroll through tons of products you aren't, and have never been interested in, so you waste 15 minutes looking at stuff you'll never buy. Should be a way to say, for instance, "never show me a cpu in my feed" if I'm never going to buy a cpu

Overall very useful website and app. But there are a few things I do not like about this app. For example, when I get multiple notifications, they get grouped together and when I tap on it, it just opens the homepage inside the app. I lose the actual notification. Either don't combine the notifications or have a notifications tab in the app that allows me to recall the exact thing I opened the app for.

Edit: Notifications stop after a couple days of not opening the app. Super inconvenient. All I want is to get notified of my deal alerts without having to open the app every couple of days. I have battery for app set to Unrestricted. *Please* let us filter by rating as high or low as we want to go. The featured tab helps, but I was disappointed to find that a deal with 100+ likes was buried in the Frontpage chattel. Also, there should be sort and filter functions for every forum and search page.
