COMPENDIUM:
A reference for all of the cards in the game, including player cards, events, items, enemies, and more. Filters and search are included to help you quickly find the exact card you are looking for.
RULEBOOK:
An interactive version of the rulebook, with search and links to relevant sections included to quickly navigate to specific topics or questions.
MUSIC PLAYER:
A music player to play all of your favorite tracks from the original video game. Bonus tracks, such as the Trailer Theme and remix album Slay the Spire: Reslain are included.
PROGRESS TRACKERS:
Progress Trackers to save any unlocks, achievements, and Ascension difficulty modifiers you have earned.
SAVE STATE:
A form to save the progress of your runs, so you can stop a run and restart it later. Multiple save slots are available, so you can save several games at once!
EXTRA UTILITIES:
Quick Reference provides a handy list of the information you will be using most often, including Icons & Keywords, Turn Order, and Ascenion reference.
The Boss HP Tracker allows players to set and manage the HP of large-HP enemies much more efficiently.
The Character Randomizer allows players to randomly choose which characters they will play at the start of a run.
The Daily Climb allows players to randomize a set of modifiers to play a run with, or play with a set of modifiers based on the current date.
The companion app is not necessary to play the game.

Love it. The app and board game are great. I do have some suggestions just for fun Could the HP tracker tool use different sound effects for the values? So a big hit would use the Signature move/ Hyper beam sound effect and a one damage would make the sound effect of a basic strike or something to that extent. Also I think there should be a line in the app how much damage a base dark orb does. If it does I can't find that info anywhere. I know it's on the character sheet but the app should too.

The app does nothing of value. It's really only a small update or two (or three) from being useful, at which point I'll update to 5 star Had an Ascension bug (maybe just me), every ascension just has the text for ascension 1 People already mentioned desperate need for deck Tracker Sliders are bizarrely un-aligned for some reason. Not by much but, weird thing to have messed up.

Useful tool to help with the board game. My suggestion to add for saving games is an option to select which cards, upgrades, potions, curses, and relics you have. If you're able to save multiple games, then it should be easy to recall what everyone had.

The app has everything you need for quick references and is great for tracking, but currently, when I open the progress tab, it crashes the app to a black screen and crashes Google play as well. I have to force quit the app in order to get back to my phone functioning. I'll update my review when fixed.

The app is a good start but I believe companion apps need to bring more quality of life changes to the game or change the way the game is tracked. I would easily change to a 5 star if I was able to use it to pull monster cards, event cards, and general bookkeeping mechanics like monster health and vulnerability - being able to lay down a tablet next to the Act board and digitally track all 4 lanes would be incredible QoL. The damage counter currently in the app is a glorified calculator

It's nice but crashes on me after about 40-60 minutes and that stops the music and kills the excitement/ thought process. I'm just going to switch to YouTube for the music, and I can take pictures of things to save the game or use the baggies included in the box. I'd keep it to record unlock progress but at this point I don't need a whole app for that and will just write it down somewhere. Most of the "solutions" this app offers is already in the box in my opinion. Almost no QoL within.

*Updated as of 07/01/2025* bugs have been fixed app works great although I had to delete all saved data associated with the app for the bug fix to actually work

the progress tracker, which is what I mostly wanted the app for, just freezes up and blacks out the screen whenever I open it. I do like the HP tracker and still use that though.

Great companion app but achievements don't work! I appreciate having a compendium, all the tools, rules, etc. but the main reason I wanted this app was so I didn't have to write in my rulebook. When I open the achievements section, boxes are shown but no text is showing after them. Hopefully this will be fixed soon so I can keep track of what I've done.

App is great, I love that you can access all rules and cards in the game and adding the soundtrack was a masterstroke. The save game option is kind of worthless unless the option of tracking each players deck and relics is added. Writing down that information as a "note" can take forever with just two players after act 1. I hope that's added in the future, but even if it isn't, this is a really helpful app.

Update 5/5 stars thank you for acknowledging the bugs and fixing them. old review: im having the same bug as many others have mentioned. The progress tab just shows a black screen and to fix it I had to clear storage which in turn made me lose my progress. I'm very lucky I roughly remembered how much progress I've made but this bug needs to be fixed quickly!

Fantastic quality of life addition to the game with all the bells and whistles. - - Only thing I'm missing is a way to save removed cards and your card deck in the save game feature.-- Edit: They added the feature I was missing since last I used the app so it's definitely a 5 star app now!

When it comes to cool features, this app has lots of things to check out, like the soundtracks, the progress tracking or the rulebook to name a few. What I do wish we had was a more solid way of saving our progress however. I do appreciate that you made this app and that it's free, but I really feel like the app would be way better if the deck saving feature would show a little album to pick cards from, like in TCGs. I currently just take pictures of the decks to save. Thanks for your work!!

Needs a loop option for music, and rather than track names, have map->music inputs. So when I'm in act 1 and fighting an elite, the app can tell me what music to play. Would be good to include some level of immersion as far as visuals go as well for those who might want to project their phone screen to a tv. Edit: the music turns off when my screen on my phone turns off.

This feels like a very solid start that just needs a few more tweaks to be great. I appreciate having the music (loop please) and being able to search quickly. Having multiple people with access helped smooth things out in the first few sessions. I think adding a deck selection option in the save would be very nice - something where all the potential cards for the character selected can be toggled on and off for inventory tracking.

I would love to use this app more. I love the compendium, the progress tracker, daily climb, health tracker, all super great tools. However, I wish there was a way to save decks and relics when saving a run. Recording it in the notes section was a pain, and I ran into an issue where either my phone or the app itself wouldn't scroll down any further and I couldn't even manually type everything. If the saving ever gets an update, I'll happily change my rating to 5 stars

I agree with the two main recommendations given so far: it definitely needs a music loop option, and the save feature needs some way to save the cards. Music: A battle never only takes ~4 minutes when played with all players so having to switch the music back every couple turns would be tedious. Save Game: The point of making a save game is everything needed to play them is written somewhere, so the game can be completely disassembled and played with other players.
