I was really excited to get the app but I'm having audio issues. Since the app decreases the music to hear the piano, its inaccurate. When a song begins in a unit, the sound is automatically lowered before I'm even required to play anything. Even with my keyboard being as loud as possible, it keeps lowering the sound and its annoying. Other than that, i think it's a great app. Please do something about this.

The app is great! BUT! Please put an option to cancel your subscription without having to email the support team. People may need that money before the subscription pulls and if the support team doesn't respond in time it can really alter pre conceived plans with that money. Please fix this! Otherwise the app is actually really good! I did use the subscription once before and I loved the pace. I didn't like how sometimes in the practice sessions it would think you played the same note twice.

As an amateur musician and beginner to the piano, I can't in good faith recommend this to anyone trying to music. First off, the metronome for practice mode is slower than the actual song, which is completely asinine. Second off, It almost seems as if you have to play slower than, or at least off beat to, the actual song. I'm sorry if I come off as harsh, but this is the most legitimately angry I've ever been with an app.

I have paid for a year membership on the app and things were going fine at first. However, after reaching halfway through Essentials 1 the app just stopped recognizing notes at all. I did all the potential fixes the app lays out for you, even went as far as obtaining a midi cable from my phone to my keyboard and still the app is unusable. Please fix this issue as this is one of the best apps in terms of design and how it teaches from my experience so far.

Seems like a great, well designed instructional tool. . . For about 25 minutes, then you need to be prepared to shell out 75 dollars for a 3 month subscription, there is no 1 month option. Highway robbery, offer a 1 month subscription to dip the toes in at least. Don't be fooled, everything (absolutely everything. There are zero (0) free courses after the intro) is locked behind an exorbitant paywall, just use youtube.

Overall, great app. But for the love of all that is holy and good, give us the option to slow down the songs DURING the lesson so I don't have to beat my head against the piano until I unlock the song in "Play" mode where i can practice at lower speeds. I could probably go find the same song in "Songs", but it feels like an unnecessary step.

So, I understand that you cant always make everything free and that an app is a very expensive thing to maintain, but I would like if you didnt have false advertisement. I wanted to learn how to play piano and was quite intrigued by this ad, especially the free part. Then, after about 6 lessons I was told I need to pay. I wouldn't have minded paying, but I just deleted the app since you are scamming people for free downloads. You should change it from free to free trail, it's just annoying.

As much as I enjoy this app, I can not recommend due to the inferior android app when compared with the iPhone version. @Simply, when will you update the android app to be on par with the iPhone version? One example is the "Play" mode. It is a completely different experience, with the iPhone app being an interactive experience while the android app is basic sheet music. Also, if you require Bluetooth midi connection you will have to get iPhone version because android version doesn't support. F

Really great and easy to use. The only reasons people give it a negative review is because they don't want to pay $45 for 3 months, which is cheaper than a piano tutor. Great for getting the essentials if you're a begginer. However, I am having a terrible time in later lessons because of sound recognition issues. Certain chords when played close together get mixed up to the app, making you go into practice mode 3 times for the same part of them session when you did not make a mistake. I would like to pay less for 3 months just because of that problem, since the frustration of those reacuring problems would make me quit for up to a week. The idea itself is great and worth the price if it ran perfectly, but the sound recognition really gets in the way of learning sheet music.

I'm better off muting this app when I practice because there are latency issues with the notes and the blue sync bar... You'll hear the notes you have to play in sync. But since the blue bar is out of sync, you're having to constantly play out of rhythm for the blue bar to recognize that you're playing the right notes. It's so frustrating. It's like I'm having to delay my fingers by an eighth note constantly, and it's killing my progression.

Had so much promise and I was so excited. Willing to pay too. It seems like a really well thought-out system... except whoever designed the sound recognition never graduated kindergarten music class. It doesn't recognize notes played So I literally can't get past the intro course because it thinks I'm not hitting notes on the music scroll when it's very obvious that I am, since it's literally just asking me to play four D notes in a row, yet it pops up red every single time. pointless.

I want to love this app, but I'm on the fence between love and hate. Pro: I can use this app with or without a MIDI cord connection, and it will listen and recognize notes played. Con: Without the MIDI cord, note recognition is only about 85% accurate, even in a quiet room. This is fine for the first few lessons, but later, it doesn't recognize enough notes being played. Con: This app does not recognize Bluetooth MIDI connections, so I had to buy a cord and adapter instead. Also, speed i

Has some fatal flaws. Sheet music section is especially disappointing. While the iPad version of the app listens, highlights & scrolls accordingly, the android version doesn't. It makes trying to play on my phone pretty useless. Also no way to print sheet music which is a major flaw. Also, in the song section you can't pause and scroll, so focusing on & practicing a hard section in the middle of a song is pretty much impossible. If fixed, this will become a 5 star app & worth the cost.

Started off great and gave me lots of motor memory learning for the right hand and reading notes. Then zoomed to complex left hand movements & note reading. It was too much & broke my brain. I tried over & over then stopped. I wish the app did the same for the left hand as it did for the right. The app constantly crashes on my Android tablet and isn't available for my Windows devices. Trying to use this on a small phone screen is difficult. I wish it had better support and worked on Windows.

I downloaded this and made it all the way to the bass note introductions. It was working fine, and I was planning on using this and the Simply Guitar app to improve my skills. As soon as we got to the first bass C note, it wouldn't recognize my piano anymore. I tried closing and reopening the app, leaving the lesson, and coming back. Nothing worked. I am now canceling the subscription I just set up due to it fundamentally not working. And yes, I am pressing the right note.

This was great for getting into piano but the later lessons (essentials 3 and up) will just frustrate you. You can't easily go-to, slow down, or otherwise focus on the parts of lessons or songs that are giving you trouble. You can pause, but then you only see part of what you need to practice. Printing out lessons would be a huge help. 3 stars because it got me into piano but it's leaving me frustrated that it doesn't facilitate focusing and working on the harder elements of later lessons.

Honestly i loved the intro, but i could continue my course without it asking for a subscription.. I wish there was an opinion to not pay and just not get some of the things it offers or whatever.. I've had a keyboard sitting in my house for several years and thought i could try and learn. I am slightly disappointed with that. But other than that, it had great techniques to teaching.

Over all it's a great app. I just wanted to share an idea that I think many people want and it's kind of necessary. Whenever you're practicing songs (not sheet music) if you miss some notes at a certain part if you want to go over to practice it, you need to restart the whole song. Instead you can make it that when you pause the song you can drag back the blue line that indicates the moment to press a note to the place you want to go

I liked the features at first. It picked up sound well and it was easy to follow, which I appreciated. I just seriously dislike that after the small first section, you have to pay for Premium to do ANYTHING else. You get to choose a song to have learned by the end of the little beginner section, but as soon as I got there, it told me I had to sign up. I understand and recognize that you need money to maintain an app, but it sucks that there isn't even a Free w/ ads option.

this app is really nice. I just started learning piano and I already know how to play a full song I love playing piano and I haven't gotten much experience with other apps because those didn't really work so good but simply piano is such a good app for beginners, but you have to PAY to move on, and I don't really like that. I just deleted the app bc you have to pay or else it'll not let you move on! ( It's $200 a year, that's a lot!) I wouldn't get it if u have not much money. It's good though!!
