To start, the app has a nice layout, with what seems like good pacing. That said, there is a major problem... The app cant tell diffrent cords apart. You can get through a whole song, by just struming empty cords at the right time. For someone who actually wants to learn guitar, this is horrible, as no matter what you do, the app will always tell you youve done good. This needs to be solved ASAP!

It was good for the first 5 minutes, which tought you the basics so you can play the song of your choice. I was excited when I finished the basics to play the song but then it stops you with a paywall just to play a song you can search up on Google. I really hate all these guitar apps that say they're free when in reality 90% of it is payed. Also, I saw a lot of reviews that were disappointed after they bought the subscription so, I wouldn't recommend it.

Extremely mediocre. While other apps have premium versions to learn faster and have unlimited time in a day, for this one you have to pay to keep using it after learning to pluck one string, and for some reason this app is terrible at picking up sound. I recommend Yousician as a much better choice than this. You can still actually learn a lot there for free if you don't feel like getting premium.

Firstly, I will be canceling my subscription. This app has so much potential. But it cannot pick up string 6 on the guitar. It's very frustrating to do parts of songs over and over just because the program can't pick up the "E" notes. It throws your timing off and makes you want to stop playing. I've used two different guitars, 2 amps and the same issue. Don't download.

Ok, first let me start by saying your ads make too ridiculous of promises. I'm fine if you wanna promise that your app will make learning easier, but that doesnt stop guitar from being inherently difficult to learn. That's how musical instruments work. They're hard. That being said, by what I'd seen pre-subscription, your methods are pretty easy to follow. It wasn't the greatest, mechanically, as it kept doing things like reading a chords ringing out as me playing it consecutively.

As a beginner learning guitar, I figured I'd give this app a try, and it's actually been pretty helpful. Until I get to tuning, which I've seen many others complain about. I have my own tuner, which I used to begin with, and all the strings were relatively in tune. However, the tuner in the app is completely off and the strings no longer sound in tune after using it. Overall, I really like the app and have found it helpful, but the tuner issue is a really big one.

App seems cool, really helpful. I am a self-taught guitarist and I'm trying to reverse back and learn some basics to improve my playing. BUT I can't seem to do that because of how poorly the app picks up sound, therefore making progression EXTREMELY slow. I tried everything the app told me, but it was basically a roll of a dye whether or not the app would pick up my sound. And yes, I was in tune.

it's beginning to pick up the chords better. But so far I can do things correctly right after tuning and it doesn't seem to think it sounds right.... I have three guitars and apparently after tuning all of them a simple chord doesn't sound right to it. I have to play with the string to get to pass and sometimes leave it open when I shouldn't. It has great exercises but it's frustrating when you have to do something wrong to get it right

It's a shame how poorly it picks up sounds and the subscription is not very affordable for me. however it does give good tips and teaches about technique very well! I give the app one star because (like i said earlier) it sucks on recognizing notes and as another person said, it throws off you're timing and makes you want to quit. not to mention i can hardly tune my guitar on this app when I pluck the "E" string it reads green and immediately changes to the next one even if the sound is not OK.

I'm giving 4 stars, because the tutorials are good, but the part that listens to you playing is not great and can be pretty all over the board. sometimes it will pick up my voice and count it as a note or a cord, testing this out slapping my hand in the desk at the right time also counts as a correct cord on any of them. sometimes i know i got the cord correct but it starts me over, sometimes it's 3 incorrect cords and sometimes it's 1 before it resets me back to try again.

Do not use this app if you have an Android. It basically plays itself. You can hit a random note and it is still marked correct and when you have to play a song with the blue line 99% of the time it doesn't work and you have to restart that lesson over and over until it does. My sister has a iPhone and uses the app just fine no issues whatsoever but the company is just to lazy to fix it for Android. This app has so much potential but they are to lazy to make it good. Do better.

I've tried everything that the troubleshooter told me, but the lessons does not pick up anything I'm playing so I've been stuck on the first lesson without being able to progress. The tuner picks up sound just fine, but the lessons just sit idle. I've been picking the first string like it told me to but it never hears so I never progress. It sucks because it feels like the app could help me learn a lot, but because of this issue I can't progress in my lessons.

Great app extremly user friendly. Although my galaxy s23 ultra is having difficulties picking up individual notes. Like in a sequence of 3 or so i strum once and it marks all 3 completed. As I am brand new to learning the guitar i need the extra practice. If you guys could look into this for the next update or in the future that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Requires a premium subscription after learning 1 note. I paid the premium thinking it would be 7.99 a month rather than 90 right on the spot. Also, it doesnt pick up the guitar sound easy, I played the note one time and it said I played all 4. I find this really disappointing because I was so eager to learn guitar. I dont recommend.

I had a great start and was super excited to break out my guitar to finally learn. After tuning my guitar on the app (wonderful feature), I had issues with the first lesson and wouldn't recognize I was playing despite tuning on the app already. Though after posting this review, I have figured out the issue. As it turns out, my phone's microphone needs additional sounds around to pick up the sound of the guitar. So I definitely recommend, and I can actually start to hear improvement!

I have tried several apps to help me learn to play the guitar and this one is hands down THE BEST! They make it super easy to follow along and even make sure each thing they teach you, you know it before moving along by asking you to play that note, chord, tab, etc. & your phone listens to you and I love that the songs you learn at the end of each chorse gives you a learning option that will allow you to slow down and speed up the song as you go until you are comfortable to swap over to perform.

I though this app was amazing at first because the lessons were great, I learned E miner so easily, and the lessons were really good. I had almost finished all the tutorials and I was about to learn the first song and guess what happened?!? The app said that I needed to pay to be able to learn the song! I uninstalled it immediately! If you're willing to pay though, I Guess it would be worth it...

Don't recommend. I wasted buying a year. It starts out okay. Doesn't pick up sound well at all. I had to buy a Bluetooth lapel microphone then it still doesn't do well, or you play the more one time and it rings in for all 4 notes that aren't the same note. Lessons will not complete so you can't move forward. I contacted support. It was a joke. They said we will try to fix it in a day or two. Don't waste your money or definitely don't purchase a year they get your money for a faulty app

I picked up the guitar with absolutely zero knowledge on music but a large singing range. I got excited to try and pick it up and try to achieve dreams and such. But this app makes it very hard. It was fun at first....the one tiny course that lets you play without a paywall. Serious though, you may as well just tell me to pay the money the moment you buy the app! What's the even point of having the app be free if 90% of it is behind a paywall?!??! I'm sick of this, and I would reccomend using YT

I am so disappointed. I thought that this app would be something I could use for free to learn how to play guitar for my music career. It works at the beginning because you don't have to pay to do more lessons, but after my first two lessons you couldn't do anything else unless you paid! Also, when you are letting it listen to you to see how you are doing, it is not even accurate because when I am playing, it will skip strings! I do not recommend it at ALL.
