Love this app, I found it to be an ideal substitute for the Samsung gallery! I initially had 2 problems trying to figure out how to sort by filename confusing it with the group by function and totally missed the option to change background colors. I can't blame the developer because I happen to be visually impaired. Overall, I think this application is absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend it!

Cool. But it keeps telling me to upgrade to premium since the free version isn't getting any updates. Also moving, hiding photos videos and changing folders is a pain. You have to confirm the folder you're moving it too but it won't let you confirm it even if it's literally the same folder. Other than that it's pretty good....at least it's free.

Not free! Just a 2 WEEK trial. I used this for a couple years with minimal issues, but now suddenly it won't let me access my photos at all and keeps asking for me to buy the full version! Check the other reviews it's a bait and switch. I'd rather use it with ads than be forced to pay, the app doesn't even include an editor and if you want to watch a video you recorded it opens a different app because it doesn't have the capabilities itself. So what exactly is worth paying for a forced upgrade??

Used it for years with no problem and was actually pretty nice! They changed it with the recent update though that forced me into a free trial of the "pro version" and once that was over the app became unusable unless I pay for it. So I guess if you wanted to pay for a bare minimum gallery app it's fine, but I sure don't. Really bad move to suddenly force the change, too, since I'm definitely deleting it now.

Hide folder functionality is broken. Some folders will hide, some will not. Purchased the Pro version, didn't work there either, requested a refund. I really liked this app, but I need to find an alternative. I'd gladly come back if this is fixed. I tried granting all files access, and/or media only access, but this did not resolve the issue. Some folders with .nomedia were hidden and others were not.

Unnecessary Upgrade. For years the app was fine. Now it's forciblypay walled with less features. You can no longer choose to watch only videos or gifs in albums, as pictures are now bundled in. Some photos now show as blank when they work in other apps, due to less supported file extensions. Thumbnails update slower and cause UI stuttering with a lot of folders. When it works, the UI is sleek and modern but that's about it. Really disappointed by the devs. Not paying.

I was trying to edit some photos and every time it would say please check your connection, not let me edit the photo and then the photo turns into a gray thumbnail and the image no longer shows up. The image can no longer be posted in any app and is unusual. This is ridiculous. Fix your app. You shouldn't have to have a great connection to edit a picture. I'm finding a new app to use as soon as possible.

After initial impressions, a great gallery app. Simple and effective, ad free. Much like my old Galaxy Note 3 stock gallery (which was great, the new Samsung stock gallery is pretty pitiful) but with many more customization options to make it feel just right. Controls for customization are also pretty easy to find and use. Only drawback is it won't use my Note 8 built in photo editor, or work with Android Beam.

Used it for years, suddenly can't open it without paying for it. Sorry, there are too many free apps to view photos to pay for this. Seriously, find a different app. Response to developer: I didn't download this as a trial for a paid app. I used it for years and you shut it down demanding payment as the only way forward. You screwed this up, I hope you learn from this disastrous move.

I used to love this app & paid for the Pro version 5 mo ago. About a month ago the app froze up so I uninstalled & reinstalled it. Ever since then the Edit feature has been different. Not only does it look & work differently but I've not been able to edit consistently. Quite often I get the message "edit failed". Sometimes it appears to work correctly but then when when I send the edited photo the unedited one gets sent instead. Very frustrating.

Edit: After leaving a 3 star review the app started crashing on me every 5 seconds. Uninstalled. It's a nice app. Definitely give it a try. My only complaint is the favorites folder that wants to dissappear every time I need to use it. It comes back after a minute but it's rather annoying when you need to check info from a pic quickly that's in said folder.

Con: Folder lock is absolutely useless! If you try to open a pin locked folder through the SimpleG app it will not open, but if you're in another app and selecting an attachment you will see all of your supposedly locked files populate! And in my case, nude photos of my wife!!! Pro: Open source and simply. Very intuitive, clean with no ads. P3/11.0

I liked this gallery app, and purchased the pro version. in this free trial version you can choose the color scheme for the gallery (not a necessity but was a nice feature). in the last screencap on the pro version it also shows you can do this. bought and downloaded just to find out that was a lie, it's not included and you have to purchase an additional thing to do it. immediately refunded and uninstalled. false advertising is scummy. just tell people it's not included, don't trick them.

EXTREMELY disappointed. Used this tool for YEARS. it was wonderful: folders and file organization, simple editing, hidden folders—all with a very no-frills layout. It wasn't perfect, but it was my go-to and I had an immense respect for the app. Used it across all my phones since at least 2018. Then it goes and stabs me in the back by locking all my photos behind a paywall... and the worst part? I would've genuinely considered paying on future devices if it just let me keep my legacy account.

Within 3 seconds of opening it for the first time it installed two other apps without my permission. Also the reviews that say it doesn't have invasive ads are lies. The ads pop up every 3 seconds and if you accidentally touch one of them in any way while it's playing it will install whatever it's advertising on your phone. This is the absolute worst app I've downloaded in years.

Sideload older 5.4.3 version, prevent auto-update. And may be simple but edits save photos in oddball format. Need to be converted again on PC to repair afterwards. **Responding to dev** I did try the pro version. All it adds is a few filters and ability to markup. Not interested. And still has the issue of using an oddball compression limiting JPEG compatibility. Took off another ⭐ with devs scummy comment.

I like the layout and simplicity of the app. I had the app for years, no problems. I had to redownload cause I got a new phone. The advertising is ridiculous. Every time I click to look at my pictures I get an advertisement. They are too frequent and too long. Why not just use advertising banners on the bottom instead of the YouTube style ones? I would rate it higher, other than that.

It was great before the update. Before, I could edit photos, move them around etc with no issue. Now, there's some stupid ad every 5 seconds, an ad every time I open the app, and there's an ad at the bottom at all times. I also hate the new layout, I thought it was perfectly fine before. I don't know why you guys decided this new stuff was a good idea, but it really wasn't.

Good features, but I had auto updates turned off, and PlayStore changed how it works and updated everything anyways. Jumping forward a few versions, suddenly there's a loading screen that takes a while... to serve a full-screen ad. And then another when I open a folder. Didn't used to be like this and will be uninstalling because there's no way this will ever be reversed. I'd rather use an inferior gallery than have to watch multiple full screen ads just to then also have banner ads

This is actually great, but they have issues with the slideshow just like on other gallery apps, when it is slideshow, after a period of time, it automatically leaves the slideshow, just watching a few videos. On other gallery apps (Gallery by Gallery Master), when it start to slideshow, the app takes back to the gallery menu, which can be also a period of time without crashing. Please fix this bug, i'll tell you if you fixed the slideshow bug, but it still a great app. (New: fixed grammars)
