More About Sim Companies

Measure your skills against other players in a virtual economy? Do you want to own a production, retail or research company which pays out the best? It all depends on the current conditions in the virtual economy and how skilful you are in spotting business opportunities.
Sim Companies is an extremely versatile browser game that allows you to experiment with various resources and test your skills against other players in the game. Sim Companies is a business simulation strategy game aimed at giving you the fun and experience of managing a company using real-world economic principles.

The goal of the game is to create a profitable and competitive business. Each player receives a starting capital and few assets. Players' day-2-day tasks consist of managing the resource supply chain, from production to selling in retail, procuring business partners, ensuring financing, etc. For players to do really well, they would have to be able to read market conditions and take some trading shortcuts here and there, maybe buy their input resources on market cheaper than if they produced them or sell them on the market with a higher profit than in the retail.

We thought about what makes company management fun and what makes it tedious. Sim companies' philosophy is to let you take interesting decisions while building your own business without having to fill in tons of extra settings. We do not want to simulate the real world with all its laws and accounting quacks, but rather give players the freedom to make decisions that actually impact their standing.

People playing Sim Companies are gaining knowledge and improving their skills in teamwork, business operations, leadership, and business development. Learning by active involvement is an established method that guarantees long term skill retention. The game rewards players with achievement badges. Companies are rewarded for employing people, building infrastructure, making profits off the market and other activities. This gratification ensures positive feedback when the right decisions are taken and provides good and viable short term goals when starting your business from scratch. This is similar to government incentives for small businesses that you would expect in the real world.

Sim Companies gets its edge from an advanced economic model that simulates retail industry response to the supply and pricing that virtual companies provide. The players have control over quantity and price when offering goods in their stores. Retail parameters of all players are combined to simulate how fast the goods sold. Players can withdraw from selling for a period of time to temporally increase the demand which would allow them to sell at higher rates later.

There's no linear path to success, the decisions are good and bad based on the current market and retail conditions. There's no sure strategy of winning and even if you found the right strategy, there are always ways to improve it. More importantly, if other players found your strategy; it will become less and less profitable especially if everyone starts doing it.

It's an economy game with a variety of business paths (construction, energy, produce, manufacturing, etc) that doesn't have ads, pay to win, or anything intrusive. The mechanics are not luck based but based on realism and intelligence. I'd been looking for a game like this for years and wish I'd found it sooner.

I have played this game off and on for a long time now. The game has made some improvements since I played it last and those improvements never hurt the gameplay mechanics of the game. It really does teach you some basic business strategies and pits you in some peculiar situations that require careful steps to get out of.

This is probably hands down the best sim company game I played. I love the type of games and it's not too slow but definitely a long term game. You can pay to speed up build time, but you can't pay to speed up selling or making products. You can only buy $10k a day so it's not over powered. Surprisingly there are no ads (100% awesome). Just pick a product, or a category, and start producing and selling so you can upgrade and make $

Been playing off and on for years. Just wish there were multiple servers to try different industries from the ground up at the same time would be pretty cool! Quests and events would be great! Especially as a community builder. Special buildings and craftable seasonal items. Holidays stores could get bonuses on retail but production is hurt. It would encourage us to stockpile for holidays and add variation to the player economy. I love the game though for sure!

This game is seriously great. I love the premise and the scale it is being implemented at. I can't wait to see how it grows because it has so much potential with the addition of new sectors, financial systems, and intricacies. The controls are effective but I am excited to see them perfected. One last point is that this game is completely ad free which is just amazing. Thank you developer. Your hard work has resulted in a great experience that I can't wait to see grown from here. Best econ game!

Definitely the best simulation game I've played in a very long time. The interaction amongst players is priceless. With the helpful advice given in the many chatrooms, to the explicitly detailed guides in the library, anyone can learn the necessary elements to play the game with a high level of success. My only issue is (with myself of course) I wish I had come across this game a lot sooner than I did. I've only been playing it about 5 weeks and the Possibilities are endless. Enjoy your journey.

Great Game, it doesnt feel like a mindless idle game because the whole game is built on the players. It's slow at the beginning but you make progress rapidly. Uses alot of real life features(its actually like a simulator). Theres many paths to choose and depends on your skills. Give it a try you might learn something useful.

Super in depth on the economics but lack luster by a long shot on the way the games play. I would suggest allowing the sale of multiple items through the grocery store starting out. There's no way I'm going to wait 18 mins to make 20$ in profit. Also if you're striving for realism, then realistically a grocery store would let you sell multi. items. You could even have a separate upgrade screen allowing people to buy shelves starting at 20$, ea shelve would allow the sale of one extra item.

This game is seriously awesome... I only recently started playing but it has grabbed my entire attention... The possibilities in this game are endless... I like the fact that you can just choose as many routes as you want to make lots of cash... Plus the gameplay is smooth... No ads... No forcing you to pay with real cash to progress... I love it honestly... This is what a simulator should be... Awesome work guys!!

I've been playing this game off and on for a couple years now, and I can say I really enjoy it. The UI can be slightly clunky at times but I haven't found any features to be broken and the game as a whole is very playable. It doesn't have an incredibly steep learning curve, but you can pour real effort into maximizing your profits if you can devote the time.

Very fun for the business and economic enthusiasts. A supply and demand driven game with mechanics that work on actual player controlled market conditions. With that being said it could definitely use more depth and engagement in the overall playing experience. Needs more RPG type variables to add depth and more interaction with business buildings to feel more engaged. I often find myself having nothing to do for long periods of time

When I googled apps for the purpose of learning business and increasing my financial intelligence, this app came up. It wasn't one of the cutesie games and seemed to really focus more on truly running a business. I have been playing for weeks, restarted a few times after learning something new and to this day, I am still not disappointed. It even provides balance sheets and cash flow sheets so I can plan better. I genuinely love it.

Great game. Minor ui improvements would be nice (navigating the exchange, allowing purchasing of all required components at once for production you don't have the resources for and the option to skip the exchange interface and be presented with a total cost with individual resource cost breakdown), but I'm being nitpicky. Good community. Developers seek user feedback for development. Accessible business simulator. Playable without spending anything, no adds = +++ :)

I really enjoy the complexity of the game and the different strategies I can implement to make money. I would like to see events that are more inclusive to both new and senior players and not focused on a single strategy. I would recommend: Have a series of competitions for each available strategy/ industry. Let the player pick the strategy they want to compete in for the time period. Then, in addition to the specific strategy, include an over arcing, all player inclusive competition.

I really like it just wish it had animation. I just hit level 13... Thanks for responding. Maybe selling more things at a time would be AWESOME. It would probably lead to double game play and more people buying point or waiting for the 5 it gives. Maybe in the beginning players get only one shelf/item like eggs or whatever. Then when you reach the designated level it can be like egg and sausage etc. Same could apply to all retail. But Not RESOURCES/ENERGY. That would be soo freaking awesome!!

Awesome simulation game and I just wish i had an offline version too so I could be uber successful overnight lol. It's everything I was looking for in a business sim. Ultra realistic and super flexible. You can start your dream business (close enough) and trade with real players. STRONG LEARNING CURVE and UI inefficiencies though. It makes you work to figure it out. But what it lacks in user friendliness it makes up for 10fold in fun and realism.

There are some bugs, and they need to add some more game play. As of right now the model is good. But contract negotiation could be more exciting were there time requirements for ongoing output contracts. Penalties for not meeting time requirements or not following through on contracts. While a simulated legal battle may not seem that exciting, think musk twitter. Just some ideas. It's the only mobile game I've ever played with any regularity. For that, credit where credit is due.

Super cool business Sim. They integrated a fair amount of industries into it with a solid approach to how it works. Only downside I noticed is the lack of automation. The game itself only requires your attention for maybe 30 minutes at a time, and then you might only pop on once or twice a day to check on things while it runs for you. That said, if you aren't there to follow up after your industries finish their work orders, they halt as if there's no one else around to keep things moving.

This game is absolutely fantastic. It has a player controlled market, realistic production trees, and it just feels good to play. No instant gratification, you're rewarded for thoughtful investments and planning into your cooperation. When to expand, when to upgrade, when to change directions to meet market demands, and if you should issue bonds and seek investment from another player are all choices to consider in the game. The best part, no loot boxes and fair paid elements. The Devs are GOATs

New feature is annoying. For the love of god, please enable a feature so I don't have to see money and stars zooming across the screen when I collect them. It's distracting, unnecessary and if it doesn't go away, I will most likely stop playing this game. It creates information overload and is NOT user friendly. Whoever came up with that idea has no understanding of user experience at all and should look into ADA laws regarding accessibility feature requirements.
