No ads, great shuffling, you can rescan for music whenever you want, and the paid version is dirt cheap. I even got a laugh because of what happens when your free trial runs out. Great software, I would definitely recommend this if you have more than 4 dollars in your bank account.

So far it's been amazing. Perhaps most impressively Shuttle 2 tackles the difficult task of providing its own Media Store so your music library is properly imported and tagged, a task so major that it was partly the cause of my previous music players discontinuation. I like that it has an optional 3-row grid view for albums/artists and that the Home screen helps you (re)discover music in your library. I would love to two-finger zoom the grid view to choose the number of rows in the future.

As a long time user of Shuttle, I was happy to become a beta tester for its sequel. At first S2 felt rather empty compared to the original, but it has come a long way since then. I pre tag and manage my library on my computer before syncing it to my phone. For me, sorting albums by the "Album Artist" tag is a requirement when it comes to a music player. For some reason that seems to be a rarity among competitors. Combine that capability with the overall polish and functionality of S2 and I can say there is no better app out there. Admittedly the add music and directory selection process was confusing at first, but it works perfectly fine once configured correctly. It's nice being able to manually rescan the music directory for new files, rather than waiting for the app to do so on its own time like in Shuttle 1. Just to name one of the new features compared to the prior app. Definitely give this player an honest shot. The price is steep, but well worth it. At this point, S2 is my go-to offline music player and I look forward to seeing it continue to grow.

I've been using earlier Shuttle+ for a long time and i like this app UI and the equalizer looks more advanced than the earlier version. But I'm concerned about excluding media that I don't want to listen. In earlier app, you can exclude the whole folder to exclude all media in that folder, now i need to exclude the media one by one and it's kinda tiring.

Already fantastic! But I'd live to see a couple more things, the ability to sync remote media onto local storage, perhaps even based on what is oft listened to. And I really like being able to have streamed and local files in the same app, but would like the app to not include remote tracks in the library, if they are already available locally, to avoid having duplicates of some those items.

Nice app though it lacks some useful features present in early app variations (e.g., sorting of songs within multi-disc albums are sorted by track alone vs disc/track). I very much appreciate the ability to shuffle entire albums while the songs themselves are played in order. Still on the trial but will probably purchase.

Great app! Out of the few I tried for the purpose the only one that worked incredibly smoothly to use a Jellyfin media library and doesn't restrict you to a localhost url so if you're making your server available outside the LAN you can access your library on the go. Worth the purchase.

I have been using this app for years since it's one of the only ones that properly shuffle songs. I can mostly recommend it, but it does have a very specific problem I would like to see addressed. It will not play songs with a # sign in the name/title. If this gets resolved I would bump my score up to 5 stars.

Paid for Shuttle+ and using it quite happily until I upgraded my phone and ran into a playback bug. So installed this and found that excluding songs doesn't work properly (it still shows the artist/album even when you've excluded everything inside), and it doesn't respect the disc # tag, so track 1 on disc 1 is followed by track 1 on disc 2. This is basic stuff that worked in the old app, and now I'm asked to pay again for something that's gone backwards. Reminds me of Sonos. Will go elsewhere.

Looks nice enough, but no use to me at the moment until it's got offline support - I don't really want a music player for using while I'm at home - unless it was an Android TV app! TBH, it's got to go a long way to beat Yatse as an Emby client, though it does look nicer. The fonts are a bit tiny - could that be something you can configure? Also, the password field shouldn't require a password. I had to create an account with a password to be able to even test it out. Sure, you could argue having a password is always a good idea, but since Emby doesn't force you to have one, this shouldn't either... (and I know lots of Emby users don't have passwords)

pretty good simple music player. however, really frustrated by the inconsistencies of the search function. for example, I'm trying to find "I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance With You." searching "i'm not" only returns "I'm an Outlaw" for some reason, "teach you" works, but "teach your" doesn't, "boyfriend how to" works, "boyfriend how to dance with" doesn't etc. baffled by this.

Can't find a feedback option, sorry for the rating. I loved Shuttle back around 2016, stopped using it bc life changed, I don't do music from my phone except car radio, usually Spotify. I do have a Jellyfin server however, and loved seeing this new app. Seeing the popup about premium I thought it was a joke. It wasn't. I'd like to like this app, but I've listened for an hour, and interacted with the app 10m max. I don't feel like it was a fair trial period to justify spending. Price itself is ok

Awesome looking player, but it seems the "recently added" function is broken. It shows completely different (seemingly random) tracks as my jellyfin server. Also no offline support for now. I'll wait a few updates before pulling the trigger on the purchase. Edit: Damn, "recently added albums" is what I use most on every jellyfin client. For me, this is a dealbreaker (more than offline play). Edit2: Eh, what the hell. Subscribed for a year for support, because otherwise the app looks/feels great.

Clean and pretty. I love it. Marking songs as favorites doesn't seem to work, I hope it can be fixed. The button seems to be the problem, it doesn't remember which songs are favorites, so next time the song comes up or the app is restarted the button shows unmarked, and pressing it adds a dupe to the favorites list.

It was the only independent Android music player that I could feel comfortable committing to. The price is good and the interface doesn't get in the way. An issue I've had is that songs removed from storage are hard to remove here. I understand it's undesirable to purge information automatically, because of swappable storage, but I'd expect the app to offer an option to remove nonexistent files; as is, it seems I might have to manually exclude everything, and have it on permanent record.

A fantastic music player. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some other apps, but it does the basics VERY right. Most important to me, it supports multiple artist/genre tags on the same song. This is something most players get wrong (and even Android itself), so I'm glad to see it implemented correctly. I also love the clean UI. It's not cluttered at all, super easy to use. All in all, I can't recommend this player highly enough. It's exactly what I've been looking for.

I loved shuttle 1 and used it a while. Then it started doing this thing where it would stop playing after about 30 seconds. I couldn't find a fix online, but found a tip to try S2 - that shuttle wasn't being supported anymore. I liked S2 fine, but it pulls an 'okay that was a trial' after a bit, and that's sneaky and off-putting. Just get Pulsar or something else.

I discovered Shuttle music player years ago and fell in love with it. It checked all the boxes that I needed/wanted. Can't say that I like how Shuttle+ was abandoned and the Bluetooth issues I have still persist, but when I saw this app I had to give it a try. Sure enough, it works flawlessly. Paid for it on day 4. Thank you for your hard work!

As long as you're willing to pay for it, this is the best offline music player out there, currently. The interface is simple and fast, playback works well. It doesn't destroy my battery life. Android Auto has everything I need, and doesn't have a ton of unnecessary stuff getting in the way. Resuming playback works properly. One little problem I do have is that it has an exclude option, but it won't exclude all of my WhatsApp media. One of them just sticks in my library.

I quite like it. Simple, not overly complicated. A one time purchase rather than a subscription. My only complaint is that I can't organize my playlists, as far as I can tell. I just want to alphabetize them, but they're done in the order that the music was added so my "classical" is beneath my "rock" playlist.
