2d> 3D. I really WANT TO like this MORE THAN the previous title, but the jump to 3d came at a cost it seems. The UI is the most hideous thing I've ever seen. And when you start the game, like the first one, you are bombarded by pop-ups. This time MORE than the last title. After playing several of its competitors i just can't like this version.

It was fun while it lasted. Played the game for almost two years, decided to use the link account function (for extra gems) earlier today with no problem. I tried to log on tonight and it's giving me the opening cinematic with Nikki introducing herself, thought it was a weird bug backed out/closed it and cleared my cache and it's still acting like I'm a new player. I'm sure I didn't switch servers or anything so if I uninstall and reinstall and it doesn't work, there goes 2 years of progress.

I've always been a big fan of the Nikki games and this one is just phenomenal! I love feeling like we have an actual part to play in her story, and I appreciate and growth of both her and Momo's characters! My only current issue is that, since the most recent update, the game keeps randomly crashing -- usually when I'm in the middle of a stage or dressing up. Pleas fix the crash issue!

Love the game, has a lot going on. Does run a little slow at times, but I do think some of that is just my phone. The one big problem I have is the top center of my screen. I have a pixel 3xl and my front camera comes down into my screen space. The game fits the full size of my screen, which leads to the center top being impossible to see. I have a hard time in decompose choosing concepts and in events and gameplay when the style needed is shown top center. I also play love Nikki no issue there.

Buggy, unreliable, with a customer service that's downright IRRESPONSIBLE. Shining Nikki is a game I want to love so much. It's beautiful. Its melticulous craft really shows the love the artists put in. And its story is genuinely interesting. The problem is that the game's software brings a nonstop stream of bugs that hampers gameplay, from intermittent freezes to random crashes to kicking you out while you're in the middle of working on an outfit. Each time when I report, the response from customer service is "just reinstall the game". Worse yet, when a bug caused me to lose resources that I paid REAL MONEY for, customer service still just responds with 'that's just the way it is'.

The game keeps crashing. After all of the downloads after starting the app, I was finally at the part where I could begin to play, but it just kept crashing at the loading scene of Pigeon Town (I think that's the name of it lol). I tried clicking the repair buttons and clearing cache, as well as changing servers, but nothing helped/worked. If it is of any importance, my phone model is the Samsung S21+ and is fully up to date on software updates. Please help so I can give this game a try!

I've been playing these dress up games since the first Up2U game and it really is wonderful to see and hear these characters change and develop like the players do. The tutorial is long and hard to get out of for players who has been playing for a long time and that can be frustrating. There's beautiful everything and the game just feels like it grew up with me and I love it

way too laggy and crashes in the middle of styling battles frequently, wasting stamina. most likely either caused by Nikki's model being way too high quality for a mobile game, and/or the constant downloading of data. couldn't get far before the lag became unbearable. also sad previous characters don't return (as far as I've seen), though that's more a personal gripe than an actual problem with the game. props for adding a non-binary option to the character introduction, though.

I've been playing Love Nikki for years and I've always loved it, but this game is definitely a great upgrade. They've completely changed and eliminated certain aspects of the first game while adding new and fun concepts. For example, stylist contests between players and outfit crafting are both much simpler- no more star coins or dyeing. They've added a cute in-game social media for the characters to interact within as well. One aspect I miss is being able to decorate Nikki's home, however.

UPDATE 3/14/22: The developers are making a lot of mistakes on the global server. Rushing events, including what should have been the anniversary event, makes it impossible for players to keep up. I am someone who doesn't mind spending money, but this is ridiculous! Stay away. -- Having fun so far. I played Love Nikki previously and there is a LOT more to this game. It can be a little overwhelming for a new player, but the 3D models are actually really gorgeous and the battles are more engaging.

Beautiful graphics, fair amount of clothes that mix and match at start, decent storyline, fun immersive features and good gameplay. Requires a lot of space and processing power, and a lot of time just to get through daily maintenance play. Frequent lags and crashes that require closing and restarting the game, has gotten so bad that it locks up my device requiring a hard reset. Some items dissappear or become unusable, even after using the fix feature.

Sent bug issue and was told to do everything I already had done. It still wont open for me & Ive been playing this game since nearly the start, within a few days time or so. I even explained that I only had 1 device I could play it on and was still told to try playing it on another device. Im in my last states of desperation. I have tried everything. If uninstall & reinstall dont work then I guess I will just have to give up on it. 3 stars cause I loved playing it but can get no help to fix it.

was playing the game and had to download a gamepack. it was taking forever and I ended up accidentally falling asleep with the app open. usually my phone automatically shuts off after a few minutes, but this time the app kept my phone on. it drained my battery and made my phone overheat 😒 the game keeps freezing and crashing too. would be a fun game and concept but lots of technical difficulties

At first, I thought that this would be a pretty shallow game with a lackluster storyline and plot. Minimal character development and monotonous tone. But, as a lover of visual novel games, I decided to give Shining Nikki a try, and I was proven wrong. The story is very well-written, and best of all, the characters are fun to get to know, and they have awesome personalities. I would definitely recommend this visual novel to anyone who wishes to relax and enjoy a good story.

The game is fun, great designs. Really love playing. Can complete all levels without spending money. You would need to spend a lot to complete the collection of you are someone who wants it all. But again, but necessary. However it is a HUGE memory hog. 4 GB plus another 5 or 6 GB you need open for updates. For smaller phones it is a constant struggle to keep memory open to play.

Updated review 6/11/24: Originally given 1 star as a paying player who lost out on in game paid rewards due to issues with Facebook-bound accounts. The development team has appropriately compensated players affected by the issue. Thanks Paper for fixing the issue. This game can be played and enjoyed for free, but full collection requires a willingness to make purchases. Older events have a lackluster pay structure, but newer events have become better. Overall I love Nikki so I'll simp.

Very expensive and very laggy. It's a large and detailed game so those aspects are expected, still incredibly frustrating though. It's rare to get through even my dailies without having connection issues or the game crashing (the only app I have these issues with). It's seriously gorgeous but kinda expensive and just such a pain to play. I like it but I end up not playing it a lot of days because of how long it takes to do even the basics and how incredibly hard it is to run.
