I'm a huge MegaTen fan and I've got to say I'm more impressed than I expected, but not truly impressed. The game is polished with the full cast of demons we know and love, really good graphics for an Android game, a decent cast of characters, different modes to play, and an interesting twist on the combat for mobile. However, the cash grab mechanics really hamper the entire experience. It just feels like another shovelware game because of it with lootboxes. Ultimately uninstalled.

Having trouble transferring my data. this game is awesome and a ton of fun! Problem is if you get a new phone, all that progress is out the window. I'm hoping the problem can be fixed because I put a ton of time into getting my team powered up (I had a goal of having an entire horse themed team for my main team). If issue is resolved then great! I'll boost the review up to 5 stars if done. But if it cant be fixed then go well

UX hell. The forced tutorials are hell and pop up when least expected. Each tutorial then forces you to make decisions you may not want to take otherwise. The convoluted UX is not exactly very intuitive, so I can see the reason behind the tutorials but it'd be nice if there was a way to opt out of them. If you can get past that and actually get to the main game, it's fun. The user comments on each demon is particularly funny to read through and a clever way of using the player base.

I am not an smt player but I'm into the persona series. I found it really hard to figure out where all the different kinds of missions were to get daily rewards. Sometimes you could click on the quest and it would take you there, but sometimes it would take you to a menu. There are so many menus. I couldn't reliably look at my demons' stats, I still have no idea how to tell what group your demon belongs to. If you don't mind reading walkthroughs it's probably ok. The special quests take way too long to unlock the story for a casual player.

The latest crossover event with GitS was awesome! Hope it comes back in the future. While I still have some of my initial complaints about the game (minus obtaining Mag-that seems to have improved imho) I've found it fun once again. And the anniversary goodies are helpful to us that don't have 100s of dollars to spend. Overall, I'm enjoying the game again. They consistently update the story and bring new content.

I find that this game is a great deal of fun for players who enjoy turn-based RPGs. There is a large variety of Demons to control, which allows for every player's team to be completely unique. There are many tasks for the player to complete, from exploring a dungeon to playing through the story mode. My biggest complaint is the constant advertising. About every ten minutes, a pop-up will appear, asking if you wish to purchase some bundle or other. It is a bit annoying, but the game is worth it.

I'm really enjoying the game. The gameplay, graphics, controls, and presentation are fantastic as is. I wish there will be more exploration elements in the game similar to the console game instead of dialogue and fight, then dialogue and fight progression thats in most other mobile rpg games. Also meaningful Law and Chaos character alignment choices would be great. Otherwise I look forward to the features upcoming in the future!

too much power creep requires alot of attention to be able to compete at this point. Good if this is your main game to go to, specifically with the event going on. but for a casual f2p I think I'll pass. Everything can be upgraded which means grinding for points and then monsters to fuse into others for minimal gains. it's all very tedious and didn't need to be. was fine when the game was new but now there's just too much one shotting going on. As I said too much power creep.

A decent mobile game, but one of the weakest Shin Megami Tensei games I've played. It has the solid press turn combat system, and has great graphics and UI. If weren't for the the atrocious gacha system, I wouldn't have much to complain about on the gameplay side. The story is subpar and the characters are one dimensional. The music is also decent, but a bit weaker than prior MegaTen games. Despite my gripes, its not a bad game, it's just not great either.

+: Easy to get used to and a good time waster. Graphics are good and it's fairly easy to level up (autoplay missions and missions intended for leveling up) and improve demons/characters. -: Endgame almost completely relies on using gems to finish missions unless you have a certain set of demons that have a certain set of skills. PvP goes about the same. It stops being fun when bosses have no weaknesses and can ignore your strengths. UI has one small button to press to leave menus, victory screen

Beware when deleting game. If you don't have that transfer number, to late for you. I think it's nearly impossible to do an account recovery. Need exact information such as start date, end date, exact date of purchases and rewards. Exact defense team, spirit merge, story progression, etc. Outside this, it was a fun game. I dipped plenty of time into it. Loved the shin megami series. Although I don't think I'll ever jump in considering the progress lost.

It's fun, but complicated. A really different take on a gacha game. There are turn based fights, dungeon crawling, dialogue options, and more systems than I can count! And the graphics are great if your device can handle max quality. If I could improve one thing so far, I'd want the results screens to be consolidated because there is way too much tapping to progress through after every fight. But other than that, I like it! Hopefully, they make a Persona themed one someday.

Nice game SEGA, it's got that classic feel to it. I love the graphics, art styles, and story to it. The tutorial is really tedious and long, that irritated me terribly and there is so much reading and clicking but I understand because there is a lot to do. Other than that the game is awesome. I love the summoning and demon fusion aspect of it. You don't see many games that do hero fusion like this, which makes the game fresh. Nice job SEGA!

The game has vastly improved since i last played to where i can actually play it now and it's optimized greatly. I like how it retains the SMT battle system and how faithful it is to the games. However, i have one major complaint, the EVANGELION angel bosses. They get to attack like 4-5 times and buff themselves repeatedly EVEN WHEN IT'S YOUR TURN. They shouldn't be able to pierce through resistances either. I'm even.using 5 star demons at level 40+ and they wipe them out before i get a turn in!

In my last review I mentioned having problems with multifusion and connection issues as reasons I couldn't give it five stars. The multifusion problem turned out to be exactly what I'd expected, at some point I unlocked it because I had enough levels and the necessary demons, but on the way there I stopped to enhance someone and used up one of those demons. Super sucked, but I finally befriended the necessary demons again to get through the tutorial and it works great now. The updates have improved connection quality immensely, too, I feel like I only get one or two connection issues every time I play, as opposed to it being unplayable at times. Literally the only reason I'm not playing it more right this minute is because I'm doing NaNoWriMo and need to be writing instead. As promised, five stars. Thank you for continually improving the game! Also, it's significantly better gacha rates than FGO.

Update: I finished the last available chapter, I think. Not seeing any others anyway. I truly love the characters and VAs, they have a lot of life. Going through the story is the best. I do love the combat and customization still, but I believe that the game is too restrictively difficult after mid-game, needing too much micromanagement and farming "perfect" brands. I prefer manageable difficulty, with room still for personal preference. All in all, I love this game. I hope it stays longer.

Loved it at launch; lost all my data due to a developer bug. Then, when I changed my review from 5 to like 2 stars, it was eventually removed. It's a shame I can't try to play anymore. It's not bad. But prices for shop items are expensive, and honestly, losing all the time and effort I put in to min/max my team and receiving zero account recovery support from the devs has made me not want to pick it back up.

It's fun. But it takes abit to to understand all the systems the game has. I forget about brands alot. Still not sure how the infusions work. Still trying to figure out how to summons without having to use a common for the fusion. If you're starting the game save everything all the Macca and free stuff you get save until you have a proper idea of how all the systems work. It's a fun game to kill a few minutes but alot of understanding of how the game works is needed to make worth playing long

While the game seems like it might be enjoyable, the tutorial is far too intrusive. After clearing what I thought was the tutorial, and getting rewards for clearing it, I still cannot play without this game holding my hand (Example: Cleared the "Party" mission, but then I'm forced to only use the predetermined "random draw" and the game kicks me back to the title for attempting to use the other demons). I wanted to play a game, not follow instructions for an hour. This is SMT, right?

Have thoroughly enjoyed this game. Great art, good strategy, terrible monetization and story, like most other games, but can be overlooked due to the regularity of events and sheer amount of content to process. PVP sucks unless you have ancient crossover characters, but that's pretty typical, unfortunately. Chat is dead, but that's a non-issue, as you can mute it anyway to stop pop-up notifications. Changed my review as recent updates have fixed obnoxious bugs. Definitely try this game out!
