Game itself is good fun but as others have mentioned, in the current version there seem to be a lot of connectivity issues. Hard to enjoy the game when it's losing connection and rebooting the app at the start of nearly every match. I swear this started about a week or so post-launch (worked fine before) so hoping it's just a version update issue and fixable in a future update. August 2025 edit: stability loading into matches seems improved now.

I want to give this game a better review because it is fun but it crashes half the time, it gives me brick hands the majority of the time even though I have a good deck and it's only 40 card decks, I'll only brick a couple of games out 10 in Yu Gi Oh master duel and that's 50 card decks, everything cost too much and the weekly challenges are too repetitive.

The Devs picked a favourite class. It does everything every other class does, but better. It is also uninteractive as heck and has no counterplay. Any weaknesses it has, it also has hard counters for. So, unless you're playing that, just don't bother installing, you're just gonna lose over and over and over.

current meta is garbage, top decks just play everything out of hand for immediate damage, matchups are presently so polarized depending on the deck its like playing solitaire may as well add an auto battle feature as the top decks fight more with themselves than any opponent. maybe this will change in a future set but right now its no longer an enjoyable experience.

As others have said, Shadowverse used to be very F2P friendly, and this game is definitely not that. On top of the major issue of "no liquefying unless you have 3x of a card", the new issue I've taken is that they currently are offering free decks as a celebration. Being a fan of swordcraft, I chose the Loot Swordcraft deck, only to find out that barely ¼ of the deck contains the Loot mechanic that the deck is supposed to be reliant on.

The original Shadowverse game had a very f2p friendly monetization scheme. For this sequel, ,Cygames has gone the opposite way and increased the prices a rosa the board . Card packs now cost 500 gold instead of 100 like in the original game. Cosmetic premium purchases like deck leaders used to cost 500 crystals, now they cost 1000. You can only disenchant cards that you have more than 3 of into dust. This means that you won't be able to craft the deck you want to play. Can't recommend.

I try to give this game the benefit of the doubt, but there is almost nothing I can give it. The game constantly crashes and is significantly p2w, to the point where if you are unlucky and can't get legendary cards, it becomes impossible to win due to the sheer legendary spam you face in matches. A complete mess from launch, incredibly disappointed since I was very excited about this game.

The monetization is absolutely crazy. The economy of the game was heavily nerfed (dusting slivers cards is a net 40% loss from the previous game for example). I won't go into detail but I've done every newcomer mission + got almost every possible rewards AND I STILL CANT BUILD THE 1 SINGLE FULL DECK I WANT. I'm stuck playing a butchered version of my deck until I get lucky... or pay a TON of money It's actually insane, I cant recommend this game for any F2P or even low spender player.

I have an S24 Ultra, and it crashes consistently every 15-20 minutes. according to the other reviews; it only affects android users. In addition, you do not get enough resources in order to build a viable deck, even if it is cheap. Cash shop is much more expensive compared to Shadowverse 1. Hope they improve and update the game. Until then, this game will be remained uninstalled.

Getting rewards takes a long time. Building a fun/good deck takes longer. Rates are terrible, and compared to the previous iteration, it seems to have become very costly and money heavy. Don't waste money on this. The animations and art may seem nice, but this whole app screams greed compared to what Shadowverse once was. Remember, spend responsibly.

the game works alright and finished the tutorial and battle basics but it still softlocks and after leaving the app the music still plays even when put all the graphics on low you can make it stop by force stopping the app. please fix this developers

I will be posting this as a negative review for one simple issue: You are not allowed to Liquefy (dust) cards that you have less than 3 copies of. This is an anti-consumer practice designed to make you open more cards. Meaning that the free currency you can get for deleting cards you have no intention of playing has been drastically reduced. I will be playing. I will be enjoying this game, but I must for principle's sake attempt to pressure you into changing this.

first time playing, game is kinda close to Mabinogi Duel, which is what I'm looking for. Why the 1 star, because every time I load the game, it gives me an error notification saying that I can't sign in. When I am able to log in, durring duels the screen freezes and says i lost connection. so..... what gives. other than that, art is super cute and I am really enjoying the gameplay.

Despite the delay, they clearly didn't do enough Q/A. There's an odd crash to home bug that prevents you from getting past the title screen. It can take up to 30 tries before getting through, but even then you're not safe because it'll randomly crash by just navigating the menu. Can't even use the in-game Contact Us service because it tells you that your game version is out of date.

I love shadowverse as a card game. I've been playing ever since middle school. To be very direct this game's issue is the connectivity. The game crashes every one to two matches or every match depending on the area I'm in. Even with factoring my phone it is still frustrating and unreasonable for it to stop working so often. Especially for the space it requires, which is not much compared to other games. I have all of my settings in low and still find it impossible to avoid the crashing and lag.

much more grindy and pay2win. but worse is it's less stable and prone to crashes compared to the previous version. crashes are now pretty much instalose if you crash during the mulligan. really annoying forced social Roblox BS of the game that is battery and time inefficient. if you don't do this you will miss out on half of the rewards. don't spend money on this game.

The app runs pretty bad on Android it'll just randomly crash if you play either too long or if you're in online ranked matches. Specifically the game begins to drop frames until it eventually crashes. The only fix is to close the app and restart it again. This maybe a memory leak issue or a bug either way it needs to be addressed in some way. Besides that main problem I really do enjoy the game it's just being ruined by the constant crashes.

The Bad: You can't liquefy cards, unless you own more than 3 copies. You are forced into gambling for the cards you want and/or hoping to get 4+ copies of legendaries to liquefy. The chibi park is off-putting for the brand style, almost pokemon-esque. The Good: Art style and battle animations didn't stray from its predecessor. New mechanics are quality, subtle changes. Bonus play point instead of an extra evolution feels much more balanced for turn order.

The original Shadowverse was one of the most free to play friendly gachas developed. Materials were fairly easy to farm for. This game is the complete opposite. There's an absurd amount of things they expect you to pay for, with even more absurd prices. The fact leaders didn't carry over from the original is still something I take issue with. Many paid for those, and our reward in this game is a poster for a room we'll never visit.

Played it for a few days. Looked up a few decks to play competitively and manage to make one after grinding for hours. Ended up not liking the deck but was stuck with it because some "genius" thought it was a good idea to make it to where you can't liquify cards to make other decks unless you already have 3 permanent copies of the card. And they dont allow for you to try the decks out in practice mode so you can be sure to make a deck you actually are compatible with. So it gets a one star.
