game keeps crashing when downloading the first 1.8Gb for the game to even begin.. wifi gets me to 97% phone data gets me to 66% then it crashes (force closes) and when i open the app again it has to "Restart" the download,i tried like 8 times and cant get in its not a data issue or network issue... not a hardware issue. I have sat around 20min on other games for downloads.. so this game is the issue... i really wanted to play this game again.....oh well.

This game is great. I love card games but normally limit myself to playing only one due to the high cost of playing them, shadowverse does have a good balance of free content to the point where I want to support the company behind it. The main glaring issue is the constant crashing of the mobile version on loading screens. Good game would recommend it highly but pc port is better for constantly not crashing

It's an alright CCG, but really doesn't seem to have a whole lot that makes it stand out. It apparently lacks a returning player catch-up, which means quitting should be done forever should you decide to do so, as the two deck rules are recent expansions and all expansions, and eighty cards across eight types feels extremely sparse for building up new decks. New players get eighty for each current expansion, returning maybe get eighty for the newest one.

It has a lot of the same elements that you'd expect to find in a mobile tcg: micro-transactions to buy boosters and avatars, card recycling system (for duplicates), seasonal tournaments, etc... but it also offers a decent free solo campaign (with rewards). The "evolution" mechanic is what keeps me coming back. It adds another level of strategy that can shift the tides of the game. New sets come out at a good pace and usually offer up something unique for each class.

Solid card game! Lot of fun to learn and play. Many rewards to earn as you play the story. Only 3 stars because once you have earned the rewards for various objectives, the currency gain to acquire new cards drops to almost nothing. Forgot about late game players being able to earn anything within a reasonable time. Most importantly, far too many AFK players and no system to punish it. Nothing more annoying than taking your turn.. 2 minute timer.. take your turn.. 2 minute timer.. it needs fixed

It's a "faster" experience than most card games I'm used to; most of the matches tend to end on turn 7 or 8. That's not a bad thing, just something you should know when you get started. It's factions feel relatively unique compared to each other, the evolve mechanic feels really nice and "aggressive", and once I understood the meta it felt like there was few moments where something seemed unfair. A solid game overall, but make sure you have a decent sized screen on mobile.

Hearthstone meets anime! With a more involved story! And awesome artwork! This game delivers everything as advertised and more. Please do give this a game a shot. Controls are very responsive, and the game is relatively easy to pick up. My only (minor) gripe is that it takes up more than 2GB on my phone, but it's more than worth it for all the content you get. Otherwise, the only way is see someone not enjoying is if they don't enjoy card games. Absolutely recommend for anyone and everyone.

3 may be higher than my personal opinion, but it is a solid game similar to Hearthstone and has good art. But it has flaws for sure. Creating cards is overly expensive. Prebuilt decks are not very good ones. Recommends the basic one no matter what deck you're facing... and lacking a lot of QOL options makes the game a bit annoying at times. You can't even leave a story chapter and go to the main menu without losing like 3 different pages. Sadly disappointing and had promise.

Anime style. Occasional free packs. Daily login bonuses. Very long storylines for each class. Everything is voiced. Winning against AI rewards you with a ton of currency to purchase packs. Very easy to create a competitive deck at the start. Balance updates every 1-2 months with new expansions released every 3 months. Collaborations with other games/shows. Every class plays differently, and developers introduce new mechanics for each class every so often! Alternate leaders for each class; some are purchased directly ingame, some can be bought with ingame currency, and others can be rarely drawn from a booster pack which becomes the best feeling ever (.03% chance!!) - A brand new player can get matched against and destroyed by another player who created a top tier deck. - Playing this competitively is frustrating because it's all down to luck of the draw, but that's typical of card games

The game is pretty great, I'm not sure why everyone complains about "pay to win" decks when the game gives you enough cards that you can vial in order to make a meta deck, which the game shows you how to make in the "tournament winning decks" section. It's a little hard to pick up as a very beginner, but you can easily get by without spending a dime. Only giving this a 4 star due to a few connection errors I've had. Overall a really solid game

I've been playing this game for a good while for a reason, it's a good deck building card game, pros- beautiful cards, each card has some kind of story or text, easy to play and get into, story mode and practice is great as well as other modes of play like take two, alot of expansions that gives new deck building opportunities, and it's even coming out with its own anime. Cons- everyone plays similar OP decks and cards with high win rates, so be ready to lose... Alot.

Better then most. I still feel there are some huge imbalances, and the time investment to obtain the latest and greates is just to much; making purchasing unavoidable to maintain a competitive gaming experience. That being said: The story mode, graphics, and basic card mechanics are above the rest. Besides the ability of just one or two cards recking an entire deck.. my biggest issue with this games is the amount of storage it requires. 3gigs of space, which do not effectively move to SD.

Definitely getting some hearthstone vibes here, but this isn't a direct rip off and has a different art style and GUI. And the part where you can upgrade cards(fighters?) on the battlefield is also something different from hearthstone. You also have to love the cutscenes. Edit: knocking off a star because it always gets stuck on the resources page.

This is the first one of these where I feel I can actually have fun without spending huge amounts of cash. The mechanics take advantage of the digital format. They are fairly generous with the card packs and bonuses. And there is almost constantly some event that adds variety. There are score rewards, missions, and single player stories to help. The liquify mechanic helps you feel like duplicate cards aren't wasted. It's like they actually want people to play the game! I Love it.

I got into this game the day Dragalia Lost ended service, so I've been playing every day for a year. While it's no replacement, this is still a solid game. I'm not really into CCGs, but this is pretty good; there aren't many keywords to remember, the rules for the different factions are simple enough to follow, it's VERY F2P friendly, the artwork is appealing, and the story and characters are engaging. Also, I haven't seen any ads in the time I've been playing, which is always appreciated!

The AI is either extremely underwhelming or extremely unfair. The story mode is frustrating in this way where the fights are either disappointing or so difficult to the point where it's not even fun to play. The good things about the game are definitely the art. And the stories are cool if you can manage to beat the extreme difficulty of later levels. Unique and plentiful cards reduce the issue of netdecking which is a major accomplishment in a modern card game.

Felt the need to update my review as with time the game has changed. On the plus side: They give you everything you need for a good deck at the start, there's no "pressure" to pay in this game. Story's great very detailed. On the less positive side: Gameplay has changed very drastically, and is very near-broken with some cards and combos. I feel the art's much more cutesy anime than the older art style. Everything from furries to Pokemon-like beings. If that's your thing, cool, but it's not mine

Game is visually pleasing, the mechanics are easy to understand, and best of all, the resources are plenty to open packs and make cards that are missing. My one complaint comes with the connection to servers, where I would assume for many, ends a match with disconnects. Either this is an issue on my end or with the game. But other than that, very well done. This game is fun.

A ccg that has excellent art style, for those of you who didn't like HS, this art direction catered towards anime audiences. Like all games though competative or not there will always be balancing issues. If you don't have a full deck vs a full deck there're certain things you can't do against, and then things that just need a balance, or outright removed. But overall experience is pretty fun since there are still some cards tba in next expansion that will keep the cycle fresh. Would be 5 * for better draws.

Edit: I stopped playing after constantly losing to Runecraft decks that can take multiple turns in a row. This broke the game IMO. Previous: I'm addicted to this game. Excellent production value and gameplay with lots of variety for different play styles. I also appreciate that you can get good cards for free with the rewards they give players.
