My experience with Sendwave has been very pleasant. It has made it easy to send money home as needed from the comfort of my phone. Adding the option to add multiple funding accounts at once so the user can choose a funding source in realtime will be a welcome improvement to the user experience. Also giving us the option to delete and/or download transaction history, for record purposes will be very nice 😊.

Sendwave was great before. I had not used it for a few months, then tried to send funds again, I had to verify my ID all over again. then had to verify who I was sending too, which I gave details for. paid for some graphics services but the guy just had a business Facebook page. because they couldn't verify an actual website they refused the payment. Told me my account was on hold or blocked. Crazy thing is they won't say why so I can fix the issue. Bad policy.

In general, a great product, but security and customer service is a disaster. I received a text out of the blue from Sendwave that I need to call their 1-888 number before making any further transactions. When I try to call the number shows as unconnected (it won't even ring) and all of my texts and in-app chats have been completely ignored. Hoping that by posting here I can finally get Sendwave's attention 🙄

The app easily and instantly allows you to send funds to certain mobile money accounts. Low rating is for the dark UX pattern where one of my transactions happened more than once. Depleting my entire bank account. And stuck waiting 10 business days or more for a refund. I would use extreme caution when communicating with customer support if one of your transactions are pending or need additional verification. Their policy for pending transactions is not like any other fintech app in the market.

This seems like a scam. It does not allow you to delete your account, only uninstall the app. They ask too many personal questions and want a photo ID. I provided a drivers license but insisted on a photo of my passport. I used another service. They asked a few questions and warned about sending money internationally. Money transferred with no problem.

Their rate is great. I like the fact that I can send money from the comfort of my home. In my opinion the app doesn't have privacy. They should give users the option of accessing the app only through a password. They do request a password when you want to complete a financial transaction but that is not enough. Anyone that clicks on your app can see all your transactions at first glance. That is not safe.

I love Sendwave! The fact that there is no fee helps and can be added to what I am sending to my recipient. Plus the fact that their exchange rate is always higher than other remittance center I have known. And I have used it multiple times and never have problem or issue at all. And true to their ad, it is so fast! Highly recommended. Good Job, Sendwave! 👍👍👍

This app is poor. Doesn't work at all. I had setup a new account, due to family in Africa always telling me to use Sendwave to send them money. I finished setup, now the app refuses to let me add a recipient and doesn't connect to the internet. I called support, was on hold for nearly 30 mins, then transferred to 3 different departments because nobody could help me resolve the issue. The last person I spoke with told me it's my phone, no more memory space. This is a new phone, almost empty, with plenty of space. I'm going to uninstall.

Very displeased. Will uninstall. My first transfer said more actions needed for an hour after I uploaded my driver's license as a photo ID, so I called customer service and was on hold nearly 45 minutes. They asked lots of questions about how I knew the recipient, and said they would not release the money unless I proved the story was true by providing photos of the stamps in my passport matching stamps in the recipient's passport. Unbelievable!

PRO'S: By far the easiest and quickest way to transfer money from a U.S. account to an East African mobile money account that I have ever used. I am an American that has lived in both Uganda and Kenya, and have enjoyed the effortless ability to send money not only to myself, but also to friends/colleagues in both countries. CON's: While there is no transaction free, the one thing I have noticed is the somewhat low conversion rate. I still find it well worth the ease/efficiency, but I do wonder if there are equally convenient apps that have a higher conversion rate.

The most recent update does not allow customers to view their receipts, which was previously attached as a pdf prior to the update. Please try to fix this, as it's highly inconvenient. I've been postponing the update for a while now but somehow I agreed to it today when prompted. Bad decision on my part because I sent money afterwards and now unable to get any receipt, only a screenshot of the transaction. This needs to be fixed. Otherwise I have no issues with the app. Thank you!

Awesome app! Pros: no fees, lighting fast transfers to Gcash, higher exchange rates, easy sign up. Cons: No D2D transfers, limited cash pick-up times, can't cancel transfers. Update: My account was suddenly closed (Again) for no apparent reason. Was told to call, called and emailed many times, calls dropped, no call back, just blocked with no explanation. They don't respond ASAP as they claim. Chime did this to me before. Yes second time with no logical, explanation. Chime sucks! Unreliable!.

Chime Inc, us sending the problem to the email u left in your response will not help. The problem is general, so are u waiting to recieve each user's email? Just work on the general problem that we're all facing. The app freezes and doesn't respond for almost 30 seconds. You enter a number or letter and it takes 30 seconds for it to appear in the selected box. It's very frustrating. That's the problem right now and it has been a problem since towards the end of 2020.

This app and send wave service have deteriorated to the lowest level imaginable. Since January my sister and I had issues with sendwave that have not been resolved. One was a money transfer that needed to be investigated and the other has been app freezing after the latest update. Initially, I thought it was my phone so I used another phone that had the app on but not updated. It worked. However, the app has been freezing since we updated it yesterday. We called kept on hold endlessly!

Overall works as intended. However, there have been ZERO upgrades/improvements in both security and utility. Strengthening of controls around security are long overdue. Increasing the utility of the app for the end user is critical esp for basic requirements like the ability to filter monies sent by recepient, date, country, amount etc. This is a basic enhancement I sked for maybe 2 years ago amd nothing so far. UPDATE Its 2021 & still no enhancements😱. World REMIT is a solid competitor

Mixed bag. At first, the service was pretty seamless, no issues whatsoever. However, my last 4 transactions have been a nightmare. All of a sudden, the transactions keep getting delayed. Sometimes, I have to contact customer service, and they'll tell me it's the receiving country's servers are down. Other times, they'll straight up cancel the transaction. I'm really considering looking for service elsewhere.

I love this app and use it regularly to send money to friends and family in Kenya. Transfers are practically instant (usually less than 30 seconds). I love that it shows real time progress so I know exactly when it's received. If there is ever a delay, they email or text me to let me know why. Customer service is 24/7 and excellent. UPDATE: The last two updates have made the app impossibly slow. On both my phone and my husband's, the app freezes or crashes most of the time. What changed?

I had an issue with the sendwave app where it would not allow access beyond the login page. The app would not recognize the three digit security code on the back of my card. Multiple attempts to uninstall and re-install the app did not work either. The good news: I called customer service and they reset my card info which required a re-entry of my info. The app worked immediately after and all this took just a couple of minutes. Lesson learnt, if one solution doesn't work, explore alternatives! I feel like a dummy , I should have called customer service months ago. Thumbs up CS.

I loved this app at first as it was my go to app for sending money to family but recently I have so many issues it's unreal! Have been waiting for a limit increase for months now, called customer service and each time I'm told it would be 24 hours and someone will contact me, nothing since then! Also I miss the little penguin flying across the screen when the transaction was in progress, I don't care for the update at all but it is what it is, I'll start looking for other options soon!

I've probably used this app for about 10 years now and absolutely love how simple, quick and cheap the transfer process is. They're also clearly responsive to feedback because I suggested to Support a year or two ago they need to allow saving multiple debit cards since it was a pain having to remove & add cards all the time, and that feature was recently added. Only points I could knock off is reliability of instant transfer but I suspect most of the time the issue is on recipient side (Kenya).
