Found this "Security Hub" app by accident, because I do manual updates. Unclear as to this app's purpose, and in reading the reviews, I'm actually afraid to update it, and sounds like both updating or removing this app is problematic. Software quality of Google has been deteriorating; 1 star for frustrating Google Pixel users.

To this day I've never had a security issue on my Pixel phone. For those who think Android isn't safe like iOS, please reconsider, Google has done an excellent job!

Pixel 6 Pro - Keeps telling me to update the Google Play app. I was running on the September update, got the November update, after it finished it now says I'm running the August update. I've tried all the suggested methods for getting the latest update but nothing works.

All these controls are making my phone act poorly with every update. Especially when fonts changing by themselves using chrome and Google apps I've uninstalled on to see if this helps

I hate that my Pixel 7's fingerprint reader uses light, and that it blinds in a dark room (it really hurts my eyes if I don't put my finger on the right spot). An ultrasonic fingerprint reader would be much better.

There's no option to update or uninstall on Google Play Store. Apparently, this version has not been updated since 2021. I never see feedback from the "developer" regarding users concerns. Certainly, this app raises concerns.

Try to find how this app performes , does not assist at all Password Manager is confusing the Whole system, Google tells me I hacked, when I sign in to Chrome ( same device ) you asked me to get Secondary Email fails to recognize Google generatorated password, selling Wolf Tickets . Security is weak Android Exploits provided

I have my Pixel 6 pro in hand fully up-to-date with apps and os but can't get the fingerprints to work. No screen protector and I tried with a dry thumb to a moist thumb and nothing works. Wish it had face unlock or a better finger print scanner.

This app is just UI. There is no functionality. Security means security but there is no software security provided to Google pixel. This app can't even check for updates,it always show updated. And Play protect should scan each and every file not just the apps.Google can collaborate with best Antivirus softwares. We bought pixel phone with a trust on Google. Please improve this app, improve find my device experience, automatically turn on location and prevent phone from switching off..

I never have any security alerts in this app. Not sure if it working. My updates are two months behind. Heard horror stories about Google and especially it's security updates. I am lucky that I didn't get the December update. I think Google rushed putting out Pixel 6 and new in-house Tensor chip. Not sure an extra year of security updates in it's flagship phone if it's having updates issues within three months of their product release. This is lowest rating I gave on a Google app

Two stars because security is a good thing No more because using the marketing slogan as the description does not explain what the app (as written by the engineers) actually does. The description gives no clue aa to what the app does and whether it actually helps with security from the phone owner's perspective or creates new issues with privacy.

Security hub is working fine and mostly keeping out of my face. Sometimes google Restricts certain Access granted to Apps i did not open for somewhile. It can change that App's functionality; i.o.w. break any of my or your app's....Not ideal, but it is secure. Again, thank you google for trying hard. Appreciated, we WILL learn; to love you; someday (somehow) 😘. ✨ -M

Suspicious this app is malware/a fake copy of the real one. Not sure why (1. This Google app doesn't list how many downloads it's had. (2. this Google app only has ~950 reviews when every other Google app in the Playstore you search has millions. (3. Google has never responded to a single review here. (4. the description is still "Initial listing". (5. why the permissions it asks for are disabled by default. (6. Let me format each of these questions to different lines.

Pointless and interferes with updates I only found this app because I was searching for why my pixel 6 was not updating apps even though Autoupdate was on, it was because of this app. Every time I try to uninstall it , it pops up again. I feel like it's malware, it has never done anything to make me feel protected, and out of date apps are like open doors to malware so in my opinion it is the opposite of security. Never mentioned in the pixel tips or the paperwork it needs to go!

Says last update is from November 2021. Can no longer uninstall updates to the app. Going into the security hub on the phone, selecting Google Play System updates does nothing. It doesn't check for an update, it doesn't open a page telling me I am up to date. Nothing. Clearing app cache/data and rebooting fixes nothing. Just noticed this version number is older than what is showing on my Android 13 updated phone. Clearly there is a problem

Doesn't update just like everyone else said last update was November 16, 2021. it's now December 12th and the data does not seem accurate. I've only had my phone for about a month and things just don't calculate right and the app should be updating. my phone is brand new! so how can anyone say that this app is working correctly when it doesn't even update it's 2025 Google. can you please explain this to me?
