Open your account on incognito if you're having problems updating payment on your phone because this God awful process forces you to update thru browser and not the app, app forces you to open the regular browser on app 🤡 if it wasn't for the fact that I use this service all the time I wouldn't have even bothered updating payment. Oh and before the auto response says to look at my ticket, it just reiterated the FAQ on how to update payment, with no solutions. So here I am offering a solution!

Buyer beware(as I used to LOVE ⚠️⚠️⛔️⛔️ Everand/Scribd are sneaky & "2 Plus books" they added is a SCAM!! As well as highway robbery. Most of the "Plus" items now are things I've read, bookmarked & I can't access most of them. Not to mention if your sub gets canceled somehow, as mine did, don't expect results!! They have no interest in actually helping. I'm SOO disappointed Scribd. As for me contacting you, you don't do anything but delete my tickets. If you want this changed contact me

I had a free trial and Scribd said they would let me know before my trial was up. They didn't they just took my money and didn't notify me about anything. The only way I found out was from my bank statement informing me I had been charged. What a scam I want a refund

Incredible app. Unfortunately it restricts you a lot when you do not have the subscription, which I understand, of course the developers need to make money *some way* but they could at least allow some things even for those who are not subscribed, if you get my point.

TERRIBLE APP AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I attempted to cancel the service 2 weeks before I was to end the free trial. The app said they needed an updated payment form and that my free trial was still good till August 14th. Although they cited an invalid payment form on file scribd still took the funds from my account. I have been trying unsuccessfully for 2 weeks now to get my money back and they have refused.

This app does not deserve any rating. It has completely lost its Glory. I wished I didn't resubscribe . You save and download a text book but when you're about to read , you'll find another document entirely. It wasn't like this , something is definitely wrong with everything that has to do with this app. Please I need to cancel ASAP, still on free trial. I resubscribed few hours ago.

Got a free trial for a month and it says will remind you before the trial ends. They only email you with the subject a reminder before the trial ends but it doesn't include when, suddenly you've been charge. What a scam. I want a refund.

I received a one-month free trial, and it says it will notify me before it expires. Before the trial expires, they merely send you an email with the subject "reminder," but they don't say when you'll be charged. And, I was not informed when my free trial ended and I was automatically charged through my Gcash account. When I emailed them asking for a refund, they told me I couldn't obtain one and advised me to cancel my Google Play subscription instead.

Everand only allowed me to read three books before it blocked all the other books I wanted to read or listen to till the following month. I will not continue with a platform that does that ... I have more to choose from for free from my local library app including audiobooks... Upset and disappointed Scrybd/Everand was better when it allows a reader more to listen to that we chose ourselves! Please consider as I used to love the platform!

Won't let me cancel. It says it makes it easy to cancel but I hit cancel my subscription and it says I have to go to script. Com/my-account but that says there is no page with address, then it says I have to cancel through Google play but I went to my Google play store and there is no subscription to any of the sites this scammer signs u up to. He uses 3 sites when you just want to sign up with scribd. He can charge you even if you cancel u won't notice because he signed u to 3 sites

Tried to cancel my subscription but kept telling me to go to the website, which would log me in, and then say you're already a subscriber and kick me back to the app. Tried to delete the account, but i can only do that when this subscription ends, but i can't end it. Purposefully makes canceling difficult! Dishonest practice. I even logged out of the app. Now, I'll try deleting the app and trying again.

If you want the best reading app this is definitely the one to get ! It's inexpensive, worth every penny. I've had this app for some time and it has never failed me, I found books on here that other book apps didn't have or offer. I can find anything I'm looking for even things I didn't know I wanted to read. Download and save offline. It's better than your local library. The audio is better than any other app. If you're a reader trust me this is the app you want to get.

Pretty horrible app. The actual content on the app is phenomenal but it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to sign into my account to do anything - save articles, thumbs up/thumbs down articles etc. When I click on my Google account associated with Scribd it just sends me in an endless loop of signing in and it never actually signs me in. I REALLY want to like this app and use it as the content and information on it is awesome, it just seems unusable almost at the moment. Please fix this if you can!!!

Don't waste your time on the free trial, use audible instead! I signed up for the free 30 day trial. I logged in to cancel the automatic subscription one day after my trial expired, but because they automatically started playing the audio book I had open from my previous session, they claimed that I accessed premium content and refused to refund me. Now I'm forced to pay for a YEAR, ridiculous!

Update: I'm an idiot. I was using a VPN! Once I turned it off I could log in, no problem. I've changed my rating to 5 stars. FWIW, I appreciate Scribd's prompt response I've been using this app for years without problems but haven't been able to use it (or Everand) for several days. The app says I am not logged in (even though I can see my saved list) but I can't log in - password doesn't work and I go into the endless sign-in cycle between the app and the website. Frustrating.

Great if it works... Which it doesn't. I signed up for a free trial but then still get prompted to subscribe before reading everything. For howany apps there are on the market compared to Scribd it's just silly how expensive a subscription is. Also, nitpicky but you have to click 3 CTAs that are all essential "next/continue/read" just to get to content.

This app WAS PERFECT!! it had a collection of documents, audiobooks, and books - that sometimes (mainly the docs) you couldn't find anywhere else. Then it turns into "Everand" which sucks! It deletes your saved items for no reason. It cuts the amount of books you can search significantly, and the audiobooks - same. So whats the point of paying for something that has decreased it's quality? I searched 4 SCRIBD... I will see if it works just like it did... and if it doesn't..I will cancel it.

DO NOT UPGRADE OR CHANGE SUBSCRIPTIONS- if you've been a loyal subscriber and you opt to "upgrade" to their new tiered format you will lose any books, audiobooks, & magazines, etc you've saved but did not open (ie your TBR list). You're now going to be charged an "unlock" for each and you get 3 books per month- unlimited reading is gone. And once you've switched you cannot go back to your legacy subscription. Amazon Unlimited, Legible, & Kobo are better options for readers.
