Moved from TD. Horrible app. I used to trade frequently and with this app it is not the same and don't find it enjoyable or easy. Miss the sorting and ETF holdings list that was easily seen. So many other features missing from the app. The developers should scrap this and change over the the TD app and the way it was run to make it better. Hope it changes soon!!

This app is terrible and has so many problems and glitches. The only thing I like about it is the summary page for your accounts, but that's it. Good luck trading options here; I traded one option on a ticket, and now everytime I try and trade on that ticket again it tries to pull up that specific options chain. The chain was in the past, so it just gives an error. Now I can no longer trade options on that from the app, have to go to the website. App is trash.

Absolutely horrendous, and slightly dangerous. Due to the design of the interface, it is literally impossible to view both TODAYS GAIN/LOSS and the unrealized or TOTAL GAIN/LOSS on the same screen. This displayed information is misleading and increases the risk of errors. This has been a known problem for at least the past few years, and Schwab has shown no interest in correcting it. It's enough to warrant switching my entire account to another platform.

UPDATE at Feb 8 2024. Down to 1 star from 2. The app got updated last night. It is now more annoying than ever. No bug fixes or feature improvement, but just UI change in silly way and same inconvenience. ====== So buggy! The most annoying thing is it never send notifications, despite reconfigure, reinstall, change android notification settings, etc.

Since this constantly logs out, it should instead of making the user tap 'log in' each time just go directly to the login screen so the biometric will activate. This desperately needs a view that combines positions and gain/loss, it's so annoying swapping between the two and there's so much wasted space. bonds trading on here would be very useful.

Buggy, slow to update key info. For example, on the Positions screen the current price of the equity may be shown in the single price column but the value in the column that shows your total investment is not accurate. It's common to show the price per equity as green but the total value in red. You have to look closely at the plus and minus symbols because the color either isn't correct or all the columns haven't updated. The math is slow to catch up to the actual trading. Annoying.

With the TDA takeover & conversion to the Schwab interface we got cheated. Tried hard to like it but seriously looking for a new home for my holdings of 20+yrs. The app features are weak and navigation is non-intuitive. There's no back button. Making a buy and finding the way back to the summary page is painful. They added theme investing but i was forced to call in. Cost basis on several holdings disappeared. The gain/loss screen shows ave cost per share but not current price.... ugh. Why?!?!?

Not a fan of their use of space. Not enough info, too much scrolling. Too much white space. Like dev's have no graphic design experience. Constant back and forth between views to get info that should be on one screen. And I don't understand why I can't get general alerts for stock movement. Like if any of my stocks move 10% or more, give me an alert. I shouldn't have to input each and every stock to trigger an alert. Need a broader scope of things. This shouldn't be difficult.

I absolutely despise using this app. Antiquated design and awful UX. Trying to get anything done quickly is impossible, navigating to common tasks is difficult, it doesn't remember settings you change (e.g., filters on order status) and you continually have to log in, which sends you back to a default screen rather than the one you were just on. Frustrating AF.

A bit more stable, needs less restart and only occasionally unavailable (like on 02/15/24) Note to Schwab: When you can't trade an app is worthless! Removed feedback so you can no longer report app bugs within the app. Can't take screen shots in app. They have integrated more of the TDA app features (but I still miss TDA). Seems to stop/freeze more frequently of late. They do respond to posted comments.

This app is an embarrassment. Why would you not simply rebrand the superior TDA app you purchased? Everything takes more clicks. "Realtime" chart data is slow. Pinch zoom on charts is finicky. You cannot see pre/post market candles. You cannot see all order info on screen when entering a trade (need to scroll). Positions and their Gain/loss info are on a separate tabs. I have not found one thing the Schwab app does better than the TDA app they dissolved. Do better, Charles.

I'm closing my accounts asap Unable to see basics TD Ameritrade offered. Very uneasy, difficult to navigate. I am unable to view, reuse past option trades. Hard to find past orders to reference. Sad but I am closing out all of my accounts forced to Schwab from Ameritrade. I thought I could adjust over time. It's not an adjustment, content is just missing. A transition to something similar to TD would have been beneficial.

Newest version 14.4 rather than a 'refresh button ' you still have drill down to refresh page. But only after scrolling to the top of page, just to drill down, and then scroll back down to get back where you were. (?) Dashboard tab shows 10 securities when one has 40+, What's the point? Schwab already had a position and separate balance page. More wasted space, slows the app down, and is redundant. Combine equity options next to underlying security along with gain/loss on the same page.

I'm coming from TDA, and I'm not impressed by this app. I will admit there are some features that are a little nicer, but on the whole I find this app to be pretty limiting, and it lacks customizability in the graphs and lists. It's difficult to navigate, and there are almost zero "settings" available that make anything useful.

Lacks many features TD regular app has. To change DRIP, you need to go to the website. The layout is poor and confusing. Please, I beg of you, just rebrand the Ameritrade app to Schwab and make everyones life easier. No realized gains cost basis. Unable to customize columns on the positions page. Unable to track the growth of individual portfolios over time. No level 2. Unable to specify trade routing. The order page is several clicks deep. The actual page to place an order is messy.

3 big headaches: 1) Does not allow customizing it so that both daily movements and all-time gain/loss show side by side. Have to continually switch between screens, and again to see the graph. 2) Any sorting applied is not saved, which means having to set preferred settings every time the app is opened. 3) When buying or selling, all views in all screens are reset, which means having to scroll on both position and gain/loss screens back to where you were, every single trade.

Disappointing overall. TDA was infinitely better. The portfolio view cannot be customized at all so if you don't like the layout or you want to see other info that's not included, tough luck. History view has no filters at all. News aggregator seems to be kinda basic and doesn't collect as many reports as other platforms. In some places the back button doesn't work as it should: asks if you want to close the app rather than going back to the prior screen--very frustrating.

Very disappointing app, coming from a TDA customer. Account balances, prices, and other metrics don't update in real-time and require a deliberate swipe-down refresh each time (despite streaming prices being turned on in app settings). Navigation and data presentation is less convenient. Income estimator is pretty useless, as it doesn't provide a dollar breakdown of the income per security. Animations are stuttery, color palette inconsistent. App is fine for checking balances, but that's it.

Agree with the other reviews. Coming from TD this app experience is a huge step backwards. Navigation is unintuitive and there is a lack of the ability to see important details such as position gains. Pretty much only thing it's good for is seeing the total account balance. Crazy to me that financial institutions this large still fail to invest in modern and relevant technology. Makes you wonder how competent they are with your money

If it weren't for the fact let it shuts down or logs you off in the middle of placing a trade, and that it displays incorrect prices sometimes, and sends you in circles where you can't get to the page you're trying to reach... and doesn't let you sort by option expiration date... and logs you off frequently while you're working actively... and has a horribly designed interface... maybe I would give it a 2. A more appropriate name would be CrashApp.
