More About Satellite Pointer
Once a satellite has been selected, you will be able to read a number of information necessary to your installation, such as its geographical zone, its longitude, the available band frequencies, its Azimuth, Elevation and Polarization angles as calculated based on your location.
You may then select such satellite in Dish Aligning Mode (only available in PRO version): you will be provided with a four steps alignment tool that will help you install your TV antenna easily.

Best satellite finder I have found however I' thinking the satellites are a little lower on the horizon than the app shows. This was determined only by my observation while trying to get my rv dish dome setup many times.

Attempting to get 91 and 82 failed. Geo location of satellites were off by miles. Not worth using if you want to install your dish correctly. I went back to the signal tone of my receiver and got 91 to 100% and 82 to 95% using my ears.

I think the app is off by the magnetic deviation. There's one satellite I can't get. This app has the sat in the clear but both my old school compasses and android compasses have it behind a big tree. The app would be great if it weren't for that.

Doesn't work at all. I did the free one and it worked 1 time. So I bought the paid for app. After I bought it. It has never worked. I have reset, Uninstalled it, re-download, still hasn't worked. I wish it did because these apps that do work are greatly appreciated and useful.

This app is extremely useful. I'm a satellite TV installer tech, and while I use an inclinometer to find line of sight in situations where it's questionable, using this is useful for fast estimations, as well as showing customers what the line of sight looks like when they have questions. 5/5, very much worth the purchase.

I installed this at the end of camping season last year and I'm out for the first time this year and I was able to get the dish set in a good spot the first time. I didn't have to move the dish 3 or 4 times before getting all the satellites tuned.

App is very good and a handy addition to any satellite masters kit, but was having trouble with elevation and lnb skew not working at all but tweaked it, it may help others also having issues with align dish procedure, go into apps / settings and clear the cache and settings for the app, restarted it and all was good.

I bought the pro version. I like the app as it shows satellites and I can set favorites to unclutter the screen. App does provide bearings to targets but there no method or procedure to cororlate app info to pointing dish. Is there a way to place phone on dish so you can use phone display to point dish? Do you want main satelite in center of display? If not I do not see a lot of value in app. i tried to contact tech support but no reply.

I'm a satellite internet installer and this app helps a lot. It allows me to know, more or less, where the satellite I'm targeting is located. I like using the 'favorite' capability on the app which makes it easier to find my satellite. Haven't had any issues with it since I installed it.

does exactly what it's designed to do, show you if you have line of sight to the orbitals. THIS APP WILL NOT TUNE A DISH. It simply shows you where the satellite is on the sky. it's super helpful if you know WHICH orbital (satellite) you are trying to find. I use this app everyday as a Dish Network installer

Great app, and good job. I use the Pro version. But you have to update the info on the position of the device on the dish to track the position, azimuth, and the compass. Also, the instructions on the dialogue boxes are not well aligned. The bottom lines are chopped off.

Easy to set up and use, but I can't see the confirmation that I have paid for the pro version. Otherwise, really like it. BTW, as an English mother tongue speaker, the word 'informations' in the plural annoys me!

I liked this app so much I decided to upgrade to the pro version through an in-app purchase. This was supposed to get rid of the ads and unlock more features but everything stayed the same. I tried reinstalling then I tried to contact the developer but the emails were returned as undeliverable. Google wouldn't give me a refund. If you get this just stick with the free version. They will take your money but you won't get anything in return. Live and learn.

Poor, bought the PRO version and it was a waste of money. The software uses the magnetic compass and does not compensate the true north. Developers do not respond to this problem, refund seems not to be an option. There are free apps on google play which do a better job, for free...! Update: after one month still no repy from developers, thus.....do not buy this app ! Please add true North declination based on geographical area (gps data)

It goes like this. You hold your phone up to locate satellites. You spot them. You set your dish. You check again only to find they're no there they've moved 15-20° recheck there in a different location again.

Settings from my dish service provider never retrieved a signal. Almost gave up. This app, especially with the VR viewer, showed me that those settings were way off for some reason and I got a signal within minutes! I didn't even need the actual numbers for finding it as I had a cheap signal finder hooked up and I just moved the dish in the area that I could see on the screen. Very helpful.

Really helped me set up my Directv satellite dish at our RV Park. I truly believe I never would have been able to find the signal without this app (even though it took me 3 hours of trying!) Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of basically no directions on how to use the app. I kind of figured it out by trial & error (hence the 3 hour time frame!) But, that being said, thanks for the help Satellite Pointer app!

I upgraded to the pro version for the extra feature but still have the base version. Reinstalled and reactivated the pro but same results. If not fixed I will be requesting a refund and leaving a bad review. Sent this email to every address I could find with no response can't believe that the overall rating is as high as it is I got absolutely nothing advertised for my 4.99. Was in a hurry and didn't read but a couple of reviews as I did later and discovered many other with the same results as I

I like it as too. Just reference to the satellites in the US Chicago area. It's not accurate. It shows the satellites usually too much up but for the reference is nice. I get a notification for premium where it was supposed to be showing angles for the satellites but I'm not seeing any extra features now. I paid for it, in the Google store. To the company. Please let me know, if this was a real premium update or perhaps some kind of a scan because at this point I don't know.

Use this for work. Only apk I can find that still works in complete dead zones, where I install satellite internet. Thank you for creating a real satellite finder! Worth every penny. It is extremely precise. I'd pay 100 dollars for the apk if I had to. Cheaper than a real incliometer. Also I double check on 3 different androids phones, and I notice that is only works as well as the devices compass works. So don't blame the apk, if you cheaped out on a fing phone.
