It blows my mind that I cannot view my Roku cameras on my tablet, especially considering it operates on the same Android version and has essentially the same platform as my Google Pixel 8 Plus phone. When installing the app on my tablet I was met with error: "Looking for Roku Smart Home? This app won't work for your device." That's it - no explanation, no link for assistance... Essentially a giant middle finger!

Update: the latest update did not fix anything but it did make the color worse. Everything's pink and purple. Great. I thought maybe it was my camera on the phone showing the wrong color but after viewing it on the TV nope, it's the last update. Lousy camera. When you try to zoom in to see what the faces look like it's so distorted it is no help at all.

If you add In a playback feature to where I can watch the footage that is supposedly always recording I'll up to 5 stars. That's my only issue. I would like to be able to view my playback from the day because it doesn't always catch everything. What I do love about this is that it will notify of sound that happens. Not a lot of others have this option and it's great. Just wish I could watch some playback from the day. Not just what it captured from sound or motion but all of it

unreliable cameras. Not feeling very comfortable not knowing if they're going to record what they need to. settings don't work properly. picture is good though when viewing them. I have 3 cameras one I replaced with something more reliable one is working fairly well and the third has not been recording lately. Very sorry I paid for A year subscription.

Beware! App will NOT let you add a smart plug unless you leave exact location on all the time! Why does it need it always? I don't know, but it won't accept only when app is open as usable. Also won't update devices properly and struggles to report if they actually online properly or not. Also wanted file access for some reason. Avoid! Big security risk!

Use to work great, but slowly started missing bits in between recordings even with the cool down off or delays, when it says it has great connection. Also once swapping to a newer phone and re downloaded everything, I don't get my doorbell calls anymore! 😒 I've went into every setting I can think of and permissions. Not to mention the detection is lagged or will completely miss someone coming up but can clearly see it on the live so it's in range.

This app used to work just fine and now it says it isn't compatible with my device for reasons I double-checked and the reasons were unfounded. Tried troubleshooting but nothing is working. Yes, I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Guess I will have to quit paying for storage and find another camera system. Thanks for nothing, Roku!

The cameras themselves are pretty cool. The indoor ones work well and I've had no problems with the outside ones (except occasionally identifying people as vehicles.). However I put 64 gb memory cards in each of my cameras and didn't really have any use for them. Once my subscription ran out they are live feed ONLY even WITH memory cards inserted and formatted. The subscription is $9.99 a month or $2.99 per camera. Your choice. Wish the subscription wasn't mandatory to record events. 🤷♂️.

Buying a camera/surveillance setup was one of the most tedious, research filled, trial and error events that I've ever had to deal with. There's just too many different options with what seems to be a million different add-ons per option. Well, lo and behold, Roku had it right the WHOLE time. I got two floodlights, one for the front yard, one for the back and two indoor cameras, one to watch my dogs while I'm away and one to watch the garage. No more room, so A+++++. Roku all the way!!!!!!!!!

Worked well for last few years, now receiving "device not compatible with the app". Thought it was just a glitch at first, but persists to give error messages on 4 completely different devices. Now I'm stuck with $100 doorbell camera I can't even use. Called Roku and wasn't even offered any solutions to try and fix the problem, just told my subscription would be canceled and sent a refund, which still haven't received after 14 days waiting for it to post back to my bank. Beyond dissatisfied!

If your Roku just started to say your devices is not compatible. Heres what I do to fix it Unplug your Internet router for 30 seconds plug it back in. Then you will have to uninstall and reinstall the app. Then take the camera down shut it off then back on. Then hit the rest button on the back then open the app and sign back in. That fixed mine of course I had to figured that out on my own. No thanks to anyone from Roku who is just ignoring the situation.

Would give it no stars if possible. Running a fully legit, bought from Google brand new, pixel 7 pro. Had the app for almost a year and randomly it tells me my phone is running on uncertified software and can't access the camera or even launch the app. My phone is not rooted or jailbroken or modified in any way. This is ridiculous. I will never buy another Roku product. Camera is just a 40 dollar paperweight now, less than a year after purchase.

Over the last month app would crash. It stopped notifying of events but I was able to see events after relaunching the app. Then events stopped entirely. I've done all the thing I can realistically. Clear cache, has all permission, good wifi, reinstalling, phone/app all updated but still saying user info doesn't match. I've logged in via the web no problem, so i then updated Password, tried app again. Web works app Won't. I'm not sure who's getting 4.5 stars but lucky them. Please debug soon

Everytime I open the app, something new is n not working or messed up. Full of bugs. Now it says my phone isn't compatible with the app. I been using this app for over a year but yet now I can't open it. My roku cameras are resetting and moving themselves, it say cams are off line until I open up the camera itself. It's annoy and wasting my money.

Beyond terrible. You can't connect to your cameras unless you open the app, hit the off button and then turn it right back on and wait a few seconds then you can view it live. If you don't do this it just times out and never opens the live feed. This happened after an update about 6 months ago and Roku refuses to address the issue. I'm paying $9.99/month for cloud service and it does still record things but this is still a joke. At this point I wish I could get my money back as Roku is a joke.

The cameras are good quality and easy to setup on your own. But, unfortunately they will not stay connected consistently, I've read other reviews and seems like a common issue. Which is quite inconvenient considering there's no way of telling what to fix to resolve the issue. Rebooting device works for a short period of time and then it has trouble again.

Garbage app. All of a sudden i have a "not compatible with your device" error. How moronic to even make that a thing when the app is literally free anyways. Christ. On top of that, the error only shows up when you DONT have a rooted or jailbroken device???????? Fix ur app. So many people get this error and for months its still a thing. Do you even care about feedback??????????????????

I have been using this app for months with no problems even up through this morning, but suddenly now I'm receiving an error message telling me that my phone is not compatible with the app. Nothing has changed since yesterday. No downloads, no provider switches, no app updates, no phone updates, my phone is play protect certified, so what is going on? Edit: I followed the suggestions given by the developer and thankfully the app began to work correctly again. Thank you.

Incredibly unreliable. I've paid for the subscription, but I'm still encountering numerous error messages. There's a high percentage of event recordings that fail to upload. At times, it behaves as if I don't have any motion recordings or cameras linked to my account. This happens during crucial moments when I need to catch a thief. And when I try to use the siren, I often get error messages. To top it off, there's no way to view footage from the SD card through the app.

When it decides to work, it does a great job. The video quality, the audio is, and the options for the detection area are great. Unfortunately, the app itself has so many issues with connecting to the camera, and that is very disappointing. I will open the app to just look at what is going on and will not be able to see the live feed. I will get a notification of movement and be able to see the event capture picture, but again, live feed will not load. I memorized the troubleshoot which is bad.
