Although it's a great app with lots of benefits, I always disliked those who tried to keep their customers through shameful ways. I tried to downgrade my premium plan to standard, and although you pay in advance(so they have nothing to lose), apparently any early cancelation will bring you a penalty fee of around 20usd. You must cancel your plan exactly on the same day you subscribed. If you miss that one day, you have to pay and wait for another month. I find it despicable.

Too many ads! I keep receiving useless marketing notifications, e.g. "Use Revolut", "New features", etc. Gross abuse of the notifications system and no way to filter marketing notifications out. Please either get rid of these notifications, or categorize them so we can opt out from them. For now, I'm forced to disable all notifications (including useful ones) just to get rid of this spam!

Great app for a debit-credit card! I used it on vacation and it works flawless. However, big minus points for the fake notifications that say "earn ??€ per friend you refer, ending next week!!" But the date has been postponed for like a whole year now, they're clearly lying about promotions which doesn't sit right with me, ESPECIALLY from a financial service!!

The app crashes on start and the browser version requires the app for login. I've completely lost access to my bank account. The customer service appears to be an AI system as I'm being instructed each time to log into the app to access, completely ignoring the issue. I'm now looking at losing out on a home purchase over this as I cannot provide up to date account statements for mortgage approval. Utterly frustrating.

Revolut was great at the beginning, before they became a real bank with a banking licence. Since then the app is constantly gradually degraded both in usability and in costs of usage and new limits. The app requests excessive personal data very often (incl. recording video of yourself on every possible occasion) and if you won't do it, the app blocks your access to EVERYTHING, including seeing your transaction history or contacting support,which is in-app chat only. Dont keep money you may need!

In my opinion over the years Revolut has become a standard of it's own. The constant growth and support is amazing, not a single glitch in so many years. I can list all the advantages it offers but if people just start using it regularly and give it a fair chance, will understand what I mean.

After making the verification video and trying to upload it several times with abysmal failure due to a "Lost Connection", I have a world class wifi connection, the fastest and most secure possible, I tried both of my service providers, tried a network with public access, friends wifi, still the video won't upload. So it's obvious the problem is with your service. If you can't handle a connection, then you can't handle my money, simple. Edit: I'm not trying again, should be 100% from the get go.

Awful bank. The app is super complicated and weird to use, especially compared to the simplicity of Monzo. Then I've recently been upgraded to some premium plan that I didn't want, and now they're charging me £18 in fees to cancel! It's blatantly a way of trapping people into paying for expensive plans. Once this is sorted I definitely won't be returning. Even the trading side is awful-huge commission fees both buying and selling side. Jack of all trades, awful (not master) at all.

Update, now hate vaults and pockets. Rarely use app any more. Far worse . Configuration of front end should be up to me, this one is awful. Original: I love the up really handy especially the vaults! Interface and vaults much improved, but a)would like ability to move money from Vault to Vault and b) spare change goes to next Vault (in self made list) once the vault goal is reached

With the most recent update, all the custom images for my saving vaults are gone, vaults are called "pockets" now and are under "accounts" despite not being accounts; I can't just access them from the main screen anymore. I can't customise the tabs and widgets anymore either. The whole thing is much worse and more confusing. Stop constantly changing the interface and making the app harder and harder to use every time. Just put it back the way it was and stop forcing changes for no reason.

Cannot create an account, got stuck at ID verification, to be more exact, taking the picture. Every time it's taken, I get a message "looks like you took too long" (even though it didn't take long, literally 2-3 seconds of waiting, then a green tick appears, and immediately after this weird message) and I have to start all over again. Reinstalling the app didn't help.

The service provided is fine when you don't have an issue with the app (the navigation in the app can be a bit confusing but it's manageable). When you start having an issue with the app (in my case, I needed to upload ID documents to re-verify my identity and their system was faulty preventing me from completing the different steps) you can easily loose access to your account and to the support. If you hesitate, prefer N26 or other online banking solutions.

I have to download the app to delete my account? When I went to delete it, they try to FOMO you to keeping your account which is despicable. On top of that, it throws an error "There have been too many attempts to perform this action recently, please try again in a moment". Not sure if it's too many people trying to delete their revolut account or I made too many attempts. Former seems suspect and layter is just untrue.

Recurring transfers don't work. They fail every time and you have to constantly restart the transfer process manually. This is a basic feature that every other fintech app has, and this issue has been going on for 3 months, still no solution or updates. Edit: it's been another 3 months, still no fix for this. I've contacted the help channels and they constantly just tell me to manually resend the transfer without finding out why the recurring transfer keeps failing. Issue since July 2023

Revolut has some good ideas but their failure to provide a reasonable option to contact them via phone is very frustrating. I deleted my account more than two years ago. I just started getting account statement emails again, so I wanted to contact them. You can only contact them through social media, which isn't secure, via email, or in the chat feature in the app. When I reached out via email, I received an automated response suggesting I use the chat feature if I want a faster response.

I activated my card, went to make a purchase and was told the card was declined. So I go back to the app and it says I still need to activate it. I try again, it just says "something went wrong". Reaching out to support got me nowhere. Completely a waste of time. I transferred my money back out of my account (for a fee of course) and closed my account. Very poor experience with Revolut, would not recommend.

I wouldn't even give this app a star if I could. The customer service is horrible, they can never verify your identity, once you wait for a half hour or longer, and they believe they have it verified you have to wait another 30+ minutes for a product expert to see if it's you and you still get no where. If you call the number on the back of the card, it's all automated and tells you to go to the app, that you can't login to and locks you out for the passcode being wrong.

I get it, I need to set a longer password, but why block me when I really need to use the app, and I am not alone. From what it was a few years back, this app is getting worse, and so are the services. What's still missing is sports bets and video ads. Update: The account is not blocked, but a screen prevents performing any action until changing the password. I can briefly see how much I have in my account.

The worst money transfer app ever!!! Spent more than two hours to add and delete methods of payments because the transfers would not work. The same issue 'some error occurred, try again later'. I linked one of my bank accounts, if you go to Details, nothing happens as the page is just blinking and does not load. When it finally came down to transferring a modest amount of money $100 to a recipient from a different account, the error message again. Most frustrating!!!

I receive notifications for spam and advertisements (like referrals). These notifications are classified as "general" so they can't be disabled without also disabling all notifications from the app. I was forced to just disable all notifications from Revolut, since I have zero tolerance for spam. So I can no longer respond in a timely fashion if something goes wrong with my account.
