Super phenomenal app. Would recommend to anyone and everyone. Super customizable and user friendly. Just a few very minor problems I'm sure could be fixed in future updates and may be by the time you read this. Overall, super great app, would highly recommend!!! (It also has an uncanny resemblance to eon music player though, which is odd. I feel like they copied or vice versa, just wanted to throw that our there)

I love this app! It took me a few months to look for a replacement for Google Play Music & Youtube Music, since the album artwork saturation differs on numerous songs, doesn't have 2 columns to show album covers & has long pauses in-between songs (not talking about songs added to playlist, only to songs added to a queue or for them to play next after a current song. The only problem I have with this app are the preset artist photos, I wish that they had photos of the actual artist.

The interface is absolutely stunning, it's so smooth and sleek and also customizable. Though, that's pretty much what I need, the app is pretty buggy. Like, whenever I let the app play in the background and come back to it, the player forgets what song I'm playing and gives the error that the song can't be played. The other more frustrating bug I also get is when my favorites get wiped for no reason. It happens so frequently that I don't try to it anymore.

what was once a forward thinking and well designed app has been become slow, buggy, and rough around every edge. the library search in particular is stunningly slow - it takes anywhere from 10 to 30 seconds to get results! it also struggles to bring up and remove the keyboard on this screen, something it did perfectly fine before. this update feels prematurely launched, and needs a lot of polish & care to be considered a daily driver again.

Been having a great time using this app after buying the pro version. A couple of things I'd like to see: 1. Be able to favorite playlists and access these favorites from the Home tab. 2. Option to automatically sort songs in playlists (alphabetically, by track #, by last played, etc.) 3. Option to stop grabbing artist pictures from Internet. 4. Be able to add more than 5 categories or add a method to get to any category from Home for the ones that can't be added to the tool bar. Thanks devs!

I have used this app for years now and it's my favorite music player. The UI with the current update is just so beautiful. The crashing bugs have been fixed. The author biography is a great feature as well. The Search function never fails, is pretty fast and the separate section for features of playlist and albums are incredibly useful. Navigation is very smooth too. Oh, and no ads like other media players. Love the app and would recommend 10/10.

Love this app, still 4 stars. Love that I can play FLAC and WAV files on it, plus all the cool details like artist information, listeners, etc. However, whenever I edit album artwork or edit track information (it doesn't pick up any artist/album/song information for WAV files), it doesn't save whatsoever. That's my only complaint. Other than that, love this app!

I really like the design and customization options. It has a Spotify feel to it. With that being said, please fix the "New Music Mix" within the home tab. It is literally a MIX and causes a 3 second delay when pressing the home tab. The other tabs load up fine. The mix only consists of 8 songs so why the long delay? Also, mix similar songs/genres. There have been times when Rap, Jazz, and Gospel were in the same mix. It makes no sense at all. An on/off option like the genre tab would be nice.

In terms of functionality, the app is fine and has some nice features. But in terms of what is supposed to make this app unique, it falls short. It's buggy. I don't have the paid version, but even the free customization options often don't apply. I can restart the app from today until tomorrow, nothing. Can't even change the profile picture. The design is beautiful though, and I'd really like to start using this app. Once the bugs are ironed out, I'd appreciate if the developers would add a casting (Google Home) option, as well as the ability to "favorite" a song directly from the notification. That's it, really. Main thing is the bugs. I'd definitely consider purchasing the paid version. This app is really unique.

i've known about retromusic for years and even purchased it in the past. it has come a long way after much experimentation! the ui is very versatile and has the best customisation i've found in a music app. it could use more functional features, like musicolet. i would love to buy the app again, but i just can't justify purchase when the tag editing doesn't work. i have to use a different app for that, which is disappointing. i would also like to be able to remove my listen history, minor gripe.

It'd be nice to be able to sort by genre, I liked that it automatically recognized to exclude the ringtones, alarms and notifications folders. Has a playing queue but doesn't allow you to rearrange them. You can edit the tags but you have to do it from the play game queue or library. The queue has an odd feature where it greys out the played songs and numbers the remaining songs. But it doesn't seem to affect playback? Search seems to function well. Overall a nice player.

Loving the Android Q Beta support! This app is exactly what I've always wished Google Play Music was (which I've had to stop using due to Android Q Beta glitches)! Update: I really don't like the new notification icon. The music note was minimalist, well-sized, and didn't feel out of place in the status bar. The new icon (the "R" in the app icon) is large and chunky in the status bar, and feels like the icon of another notification I'd want to clear or hide from the status bar.

Very good music app! I would really appreciate the ability to edit font, letter spacing, and icon style for things such as play/pause buttons. I would prefer a more material design style for things, and would like the ability to edit to my personal preference. Also the animations for things such as playing/pausing or tapping on an album take way too long, really bad latency on that stuff. Overall though, some potential for improvement but a really great, visually pleasant, and easy to use app!

I wanted a basic, ad-free music player that looks nice and I got it. This app works really well! Update December 2023: I cannot continue to recommend this and give it 5 stars. Since switching phones and being on Android 14, the blacklist or possibly even whitelist feature doesn't work. This is essential in how I use the app because I only want it looking in one folder for music instead of the whole phone. For that reason, I must rate it lower until this is fixed.

Just got into buying my favorite albums so they can have a separate space from my chaotic YouTube music library, and I get to support the artist. I went on the hunt for a nice looking music player and found this one. It's absolutely beautiful, customizable, and does everything I need it to. Not giving 5 stars because I have a few wants that aren't met like being able to change playlist album artwork. But overall this is a fantastic app you shouldn't think twice about trying.

The default setting for me was to have the songs of each album organized alphabetically. Weird. I organized them by track listing. For some reason this app does not want to play them in track listing order. I turned on and off randomize, doesn't work. For concept albums it blows having songs pop up when they're not supposed to. Also it will randomly end a song halfway through.

Great app for locally stored FLAC music. My only problem is that it has a tendency to randomly skip backwards about 2 to 3 seconds when using the phone while playing music, and cutting off the last 5 seconds of songs. I'm an on S24 Ultra, this shouldn't be happening on a phone equipped with the fastest NAND Flash Storage in the world. Tested with wired and Bluetooth, neither of those effected the backwards skipping. 5 stars once this is fixed.
