While it's handy for a quick scan, the app seems to be fairly convoluted for what it does. There are plenty of categories to choose from, but in my case it always attempts to scan the TPMS system (and fails). Want to check some live data? Too bad, it spend 25 minutes scanning TPMS and hangs and or says 0 for tire pressure. (2016 Toyota) I was able to pull some data from other sensors like purge and barometric pressure, but others were missing like Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor among others.

It gives decent information but no matter what I do it will not perform a "custom scan" and or "module" scan for whatever reason, the price is great, the dashboard and live data work surprisingly well. Only issue is the same priced "cheapy" one from AutoZone allows me to scan most if not all modules. Bottom line is clear, it's a good product for it's price, don't expect it to outperform your Snap-On scanner. Live features, connectivity and overlapping graphs all work well ..... For the cost.

The app works fine. The connection via Bluetooth it's better than having the obd2 connected via wifi. Because this way you can use the app and device without having the annoying transmitting data / sending data. At first I had issues connecting but it was me not knowing how to properly pair my phone and the obd2 reader. One more thing it may be awesome having a picture of the part that needs to be replaced according to the Diagnostic. Highly recommend 👌

Sleek, simple, & super easy to use. It's very convenient however, does require an external device to use the app but it's reasonably priced at any automotive parts store. I love the fact that the app stores all information obtained during each scan so you can look back at them individually even if you are no longer connected to the vehicle. The device literally obtains everything about the vehicle from it's year/make/model, to tire size, down to the city/town/country the car was manufactured in.

This cheap little scan reader does more than enough for any novice/do it yourself mechanic. Extremely impressed with all the information it picks up and it even gives you the most likely probability of what is wrong and how to fix it. Worth the $ for sure! I'll be getting the next level one in a few weeks that has the battery/charging system feature next.

The app is initially tricky to connect via bluetooth, yet mine connected on the second try. I had to unplug and replug the dongle. I like getting the most relevant live data streams of up to four parameters. The recalls/TSB data reports are very informative. I have yet to explore the likely service(s) tab. Overall great app and tool, yet it could use a faster response.

Had a blinking check engine light on a 2012 Toyota FJ, started running roughly with a very regular hesitation, didn't want to go over 35-40, so I drove another car to Harbor Freight and got this. I followed the directions and it paired easily. The one important difference, once it's paired, the app tells you to turn the vehicle ON, not ACC, just don't start it, that's right. It ID'ed a slew of things, I cleaned the Mass Airflow Sensor (dang bug), presto, drove it, tested it again, all clear!

Great app so far, told me nothing wrong with one vehicle, but showed me what is due to be checked at the next maintenance interval. It also displayed some possible future issues and a chance of needing to be replaced as well as general costs for replacement. The only issue I have had with connection to my phone was when trying to connect while it was scanning the vehicle. I read afterwards that doesn't work well. So I wait until after the scan is done and have no issues with it connecting!

The tool itself is nice and works great, however the app does need need work. I am not able to see the live data on my phone (Samsung Note10+). Would have rates higher if this feature worked on the app. It would also be nice to be able to run to tests from your device! I do like that the features the shows you about the maintenance costs and the probably of having to change those parts.

This is quite possibly the greatest app to have ever apped. I'm not just saying that because a pocket scan tool gives me a tech boner. This app is extremely well designed and developed. It looks good. It loads fast. The interface is easy to use and understand. Dummy-proof step-by-step connecting. Automatic and full system scans. Solutions simply explained. It tells me what to buy, !gives me a part number! And gives me a source to buy the item. I can go on all day.

This device is great when it works, but I've had such a difficult time having it pair that I just upgraded to a different brand. Good idea, horrible designing and programming for this device and it's related application. For this, I give it. 1 star. No one feels like dealing with pairing issues while they have to quickly trouble shoot an issue with their car. Sad.

Works great, customer service is great and primo in replying to questions and advice. Very clear no beat arounds just straight to the point. The more I explore this app, seems they are slowly but surely updating it's testing and capabilities of these OBD2 dongles, amazingly work good for the price averaging $50 at Walmart it's a good investment, small, durable and dependable. U could just let it stay plugged , won't drain ur battery, and is there at all times. Maybe just see how's engine running.

Recently purchased the INNOVA 5610. The tool is great, with one exception that's the bluetooth function. It never works. Then, the app Repairsolutions2 is completely intrusive, requiring precise location data and email or facebook access. Now, if it actually worked, that would not be that much of a big deal. However, after submitting and giving intrusive access, I found that it still does not work!

Everytime I've used this app it's slow. The app connecting to the obd is slow. The app generating the list of codes is slow (in comparison to other obds I have including Bluetooth ones). The last time I used the app in the middle of it pulling codes it stopped to say sorry servers under maintenance!! Wow so handy! The servers should not affect gathering the codes that I'm doing locally i.e. NOT ONLINE. That should only affect online functionality.

Can't believe how.well this thing works with phone app and device prompts and pairing connection. It does not hesitate to tell you if you're doing it right or not. Navigation is easy if you do igzactly what it tells you. Don't mess around pushing buttons thinking it's self explanatory or you will get nothing. There's nothing wrong with this device. It's either your not doing as it says, or your batteries dead, or you don't have internet service. The first time I ever fixed my car by myself.

This is actually a handy little app. It's really useful for looking up TSBs and Recalls. While the scan tool and app aren't quite as useful as the various dealer scan tools I've used in my tenure as a mechanic, it's really exceptional for the average consumer and their needs. I found it easy to use/navigate, and the tool had no trouble pairing to my phone. Obviously, that experience will vary based on individuals' phones and tech knowledge, but it worked well for me.

Helpful for experienced knowledge. I've seen people check codes and instantly replace the item that the code that displays the issue without further testing to narrow it down. All scanners/readers should indicate that "any parts called out on a scanner/reader does not automatically mean the part is the actual issue". With 30 years as a certified ASA Master Tech I've seen people spend thousands on parts that are not the actual problem.

I've been happy with this scanner since I bought it, and was wildly surprised to see that it did a fair amount of updates automatically when I'd go to use it. For the price it's worth every penny. I'll have to invest in another scanner though that offers relearning procedures, but please correct me if I'm missing somewhere where it in fact does for simple fixes such as crankshaft position sensors, cam sensors, etc.

First some background: I'm an automotive powertrain test engineer and certified tech, so I have some experience with diagnostic tools. Tested on Pixel 6 Pro w/ Android 14. This app is slow, to connect, and when it does, the connection is unstable. Although any consumer tool has limitations on the number of live data streams that can be displayed simultaneously, this has a very limited list of choices. Positives - some non-ECM module code reading access. Could have been great, but missed.

While it is useful, it's tedious to use. Random connection issues, left and right. One main issue for me is that the device can't read a few of my cars' VIN#'s from the ECU, so I have to manually enter it every time. Why isn't there an option to save VIN#'s and car profiles to make this quicker? If this could be remedied, this review could easily be a 5 star for the usefulness.
