Works like a charm, used it for holiday photos, removing bg of cardboard cutouts and it recognices the objects and people really well. Also I prefer this to competitors like remove.bg since it does a smooth edge and is obviously designed with mobile in mind and not as a desktop application.

I have yet to submit one photo that correctly separates the foreground from the background on the first pass. I have to manually correct every photo. This defeats the point of using the app.

will not remove the entire background and the edit mode cursor on so big nothing comes out smooth. It is far easier to manually remove a background with microsoft paint than to use this app. Don't rush an app if it is too buggy to work properly!

If I could request one feature, it would be a "magic" tool that could manually remove pixels within a certain threshold of a selected pixel. There's also an auto tool for fine tuning I would like to see, but that one isn't necessary.

Backgrounds that are removed are somehow being rotated? Everything looks clean and solid white, black, or pixelated (depending on your selection) prior to saving the image. Once I save the images and proceed to use them, everything is rotated.

I wanted an app for removing backgrounds on cartoon images. This app removes bits I don't want it too and editing it just makes it more frustrating. Time to look for something else. I do like how this app doesn't use watermarks though.

So I attempted to remove the background from several pictures a few times each... and EVERY SINGLE TIME it KICKS me out and sends me to my home screen after it makes me unlock my phone... I was so excited when i saw pixlr had this... now i dont know if i want the stories by pixlr but i have used pixlr before it was even pixlr so disappointed!!💯

the app work well and I currently use one of their other which works really well, but this didn't clean up the image I initially wanted all the way as did another program was able to do, but still worked well on other images. so I recommend and hope the continue to make improvements. Enjoy your other products!

Struggles to remove the plain black background from a picture that has nothing but 3 words of text on it. At least 50% of my text gets erased with the background. Spent about 10 minutes trying to work around the issue but to no avail. This app is absolute garbage even for the simplist background removal.

Was fantastic. On 4/29/24, it doesn't do anything but crash. Edit: 5/4/24: the app is back to working well! I'm not sure what changed but I'm glad it did! Thank you for your responsiveness.

If you have a VPN on the app will literally not work at all, it will just crash itself and turn your VPN off. When it does work, it just does a really poor quality job. The lines marking out the object are wobbly as hell, I was doing better just tracing it with my finger. Do not bother with this.

It was cool In the begining. But it only functioned properly for one picture. After that, every picture I try to remove the background, it crashes as soon as I hit the Images option, to add a different background. I've uninstalled, and installed again. The problem persists. Non functional anymore for some reason.....

I gave it the benefit of the doubt because it's made by Pixlr, but 7 out of 7 times the app crashed hard while trying to "remove the background" of 7 different photos. Can you imagine being a company the size of Pixlr and not thoroughly testing an app you released in the play store? Find an app that actually works, don't waste your time with this one. It ballooned to 164mb as well after install. And it NEVER worked! Just wow

No one should download this app. Not only does it leave nothing but a few charred remnants of whatever image you put into it, but the only way to get this app to function even close to what it's supposedly designed to do is to painstakingly and precisely trace over every part of the image you want to keep, down to the pixel. You're doing all the work. This just the eraser tool with extra steps.

It takes out things it shouldn't and leaves a fuzzy line instead of sharp lines. It makes everything look like worse than when I started. It even takes out parts of faces or entire bodies. Other programs and apps work far better. I don’t recommend this app at all. The constant crashes is extremely annoying in itself.

Useless. I'm really surprised at Pixlr, as I've used PIXLR for years, and although some of the new updates I don't really like, it's still been my go to, so I tried the BG REMOVER. Everytime I select a picture, it removes the background nicely, and as soon as I go to add a background, the app crashes repeatedly. I'm using Android, Nord One plus, Android version 12, the latest update.

I was able to get the app to work for one picture, as to which I had to spend an hour to fine tune everything. After that, the app crashes after I finish removing background and say I'm done. It is unbearable and ridiculous. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it didn't change, the app still crashes. Will not go back to app unless if this gets resolved.

My first impression is this is pretty useless since it doesn't show any pictures in my gallery. OK, do it doesn't load new pics the way regular Pixar does (which is lame). Then after closing and restarting to give another chance it 1st crashed, then it did a terrible job. Stick to cutpaste photos for editing out stuff. [Besides, all this should be just feature on the regular app. If it's not the same app, it doesn't make anything easier for me. Duh!]

Great app! perfect. It's very easy and fast! most background erasers i have used just don't get rid of the background so perfectly and they still leave some stuff behind on my images from when i applied for the background to be removed. I like this one the best! So i was very happy about that. The background eraser works really good! keep up the good work.
