Reigns: Her Majesty is the revolutionary follow-up to the smash swipe ‘em up hit Reigns. A cultural renaissance has bestowed the world with a new era of knowledge and enlightenment but greed and jealousy still conspire against the benevolent queen. Outwit and outlast those that would seek to depose you and your husband by swiping left or right, making just (or unjust) decisions on all manner of royal matters. Maintain the balance between the kingdom’s most powerful factions, use mystical items from your inventory, and navigate the increasingly complex politics and personal relationships of your dynasty.

New Kingdom, New Drama: Your royal decrees and unpredictable requests of the people will shape both your time on the throne and the future of your dynasty. Carefully navigate the foolish politics and emotional pleas of the kingdom’s eccentric subjects to find balance between the most powerful factions of the land.

Mystical Inventory: Find and upgrade five special items in a new inventory system. Use your powerful items on character cards and unlock special paths in the ever more complex narrative of your kingdom.

Royal Challenges: Reach specific goals set before each new monarch’s reign to unlock new sets of cards and new directions to take the story of your dynasty.

Nerial and Friends: Reigns: Her Majesty is a collaboration between François Alliot (design/programming), Arnaud de Bock (art), Jim Guthrie (music), and Leigh Alexander (narrative director).

A fantastic follow-up to the original Reigns, Her Majesty brings ever more engrossing layers of depth to the familiar, elegant format. The fresh perspective in HM offers an experience which should appeal to a broad audience, while the narrative and subtle new mechanics accomodate an abundance of explorable content that never feels repetitive. If you're looking for an intuitive management-light game with little to no pressure and a wealth of fun narrative engagement, you've found it. 👌

In general, the game is extemely entertaining fun for a person who enjoys strategic games. It really makes you think about your situation and weigh your odds. My only issue is that there are a few minor bugs in the game, such as the several times I had not reached the very bottom or top of any meter, but one suddenly jolted down and the game ended. This is probably my only problem with the game, and despite it, I would still recommend this game to anyone who really likes a game that makes you think.

If you liked the original Reigns, then this is very similar, except you can hold items this time...and upgrade them. I admit, it eventually had to Google a few of the final steps to unlock the "true" ending, but the game was fun all around. It's a good time-waster, for sure, and I'm always happy when a game has neither in-app purchases nor ads. I think I got more time and overall enjoyment out of the first one, but this is a worthy sequel.

Been playing for three days and still having fun. understanding the reputation system is challenging; it is not as simple and mindlessly swiping left or right as other reviews say. Even with a good understanding I havent made it past 23 years. I also am not running into repeated cards and when I do I believe it is because i havent finished that questline. I recommend if you like challenging puzzles and stories.

Excellent. Unlike the original game, it follows a story and has purpose besides "find all the endings." A lot to discover in a somewhat but not really restricted world of swiping cards to make desicions, you'd think its boring, but its not just a choose your own adventure book, your choices impact what comes next, impacts your kingdom, your answers aren't always yes and no, and there's even places to explore, and a combat mechanism (though I prefer Reigns' original.) Well made, very reccomended.

You're gonna die, but that's part of the fun. Live longer by balancing all the meters as much as possible, or make horrible choices and end your reign in the first year. You die only to be resurrected (hopefully wiser). Collect materials you may or may not learn to use in your next life. The cards, goals, characters are all amusing, but of you're as bad as me it can get a bit repititive. A great game to marathon but also a great game to pick up and put down whenever.

This game desperately needs to be updated to not render text off screen and fix the terrible controls (game hides the navigation bar but the swipe gesture to bring it up swipes cards too which can mess up your game) and lack of mid game saving (game only saves on the end of each reign). Game itself is interesting at first but the randomness hurts it later on where you have to play a lot hoping for the card you need to come up before a cheap death. Feels overrated honestly.

Seems a lot more convoluted than the original. Results of choices made more often than not at odds with what one would intuitively expect, without explanation, to the point of extreme frustration. I want to like this game, it seems to introduce some neat concepts to the series, but having my 'reigns' repeatedly cut short because for example refusing to host a party inexplicably tanks my treasury just isn't fun

I absolutely love this game, what a great sequel to the original!! There seems to be endless scenarios and even discovering the deaths is pretty satisfying. The challenge is even more brutal, imo, than the previous game. The balancing system is super finnicky, and I haven't gotten the chance to live until old age yet so, here goes! P.S., definitely buy this game. You'll have a good time.

It is a lot of freaking fun and I really want to see if there are anymore of these games, because I want to play them all. This game takes me back to the choose your own path adventures, and I always was loved them I am not even done with this one and know I could play it a dozen more times and not be done with all the options. While the game looks simple and plain, it is not. It allows you to go dark, light or a balance. Of course you pay for your choices, but that is what makes it fun.

I loved the first game. I like some of the new mechanics, it allows for more things to happen. It's more then just a few new cards. However, there are a few things wrong. The dueling system is quirky at best. When you understand it, it becomes way too easy. I also came across some technical problems. After turning the frog into the princess, you can still find a frog. Using the book will not do anything though, and I don't know if it's intentional or not. There is also the bug of losing for no reason. I came across this so much where I lose or gain some resources, then I get a death message when my resources are fine. If I swipe, however, the problem resource spikes up or down to make me lose. This happened so much and it cannot be intentional. Still nice when it works, but the first game was better.

Game auto rotates even with screen locks. Have had bugs where the texts goes off screen. Sometimes you have no choice but to die. This is really a game you can only learn by playing it for a bit. I wish the dots at the time told you accurately how it will affect your stats. It gets very repetitive if you don't follow the walk-through, especially when the story line isn't very clear.

I loved the first one and I love this one! I really like the new additions to the game play to set it apart from the first one. Well worth the money. I did find a bug where used items won't fully return to their slots after using them and won't return all the way until restarting the app. A small thing but it can be annoying. Edit: noticed another bug where max/min death events happen without the bar being completely full or empty

This is really fun! I love choose your own adventure titles, and the backstory and hidden quests make it interesting. I give 4 stars because of a minor design flaw; the game does not have an efficient way to pause, and when I swipe up to access menu items on my phone it makes a choice in-game, kinda annoying. If there was a way to pause or freeze the screen the game would be perfect!

Addictive little mobile game. Trickier than it's predecessor, but the added challenge extends play time. The stylized artwork is enjoyable and fits well with the humorous writing. It can get a bit repetitive after you've played for some time, but the drive to figure out the puzzles on how to beat the game are enjoyable. Overall, a very fun, simple game that's worth the small price.

Great concept, incredibly compelling and captivating in the beginning. The music, atmosphere, and plotlines, and characters are great. But, things do get repetitive very quickly, and if you're a completionist trying to see every card and unlock every death and title and ending, that repetitiveness quickly turns into annoyance as these evade you. This game is here for a good time, not a long time.

A great time killer...but not mindless! It's more of a resource management puzzle game. You pick options not necessarily because you want them but because you need the resource it provides (or takes away). It's all a balancing act. But there are certain times where you need or should pick an option for progression or to solve a puzzle. Lots of practice and your reigns might start pasting a while. Such a neat, simple at first on the surface, but more complicated the longer you play. Love it! ❤

This is just an awesome and unique game! You can set it down and b pick it right back up at any point also. It's got a puzzle type vibe that's challenging but not so hard that it's frustrating. Imo, the bits of info you uncover as you progress build upon the plot filing in holes while creating new questions, so you get satisfaction and a continued interest. The characters are also all super entertaining and I want to meet them all! It also has quite alot of content! Great job!!

It's a nicely balanced game with interesting mechanics, but I have some bones to pick. It's difficult to understand steps you are supposed to take to advace the game, especially since many events happen every twelve life cycles. Some story cards happen only once, difficult to differentiate between them and normal ones, and gives little room for not choosing right. The ending was very underwhelming and extremely vague, it's an unsatisfying close. And the AUTO ROTATION, it's an absolute pain.

Okay this game is wild. Played for a day or so with zero idea what I was doing until I looked up a walk-through. Absolutely ridiculous game and not necessarily in a bad way. Aggravating and makes you want to continue playing. Even with looking up the walk-through, I still got "the bad" ending twice. Not sure if I have it in me to give it another go. Lol. Played with play pass.
