Update: had not had the previous issue for a little bit but now my receipts comey email is a problem. It tells me I have 10 but when I submit it tells me there is an error. Also getting frustrated at the pace to get coins. Slots hardly land after the least couple of updates. It is becoming to tedious. Will look for a better app. Took away view receipt when there is an issue with the upload (duplicate, not full receipt, etc)...

I have not been able to link my Amazon account or my email. My Amazon account was disconnected for no reason and now it's impossible to reconnect it. Been on here for over a year, and still haven't gotten enough points for a minimum cash out. Lots of work, for very little return! Unfriendly app, with no customer service options. Update 4/16/24 I just deleted my app, and reinstalled it, with the same results as before! My other receipt apps work fine, but this one refuses to connect to Amazon!

Updated review (4/19/24): Receipt Hog used to be fairly decent, and to a certain extent it still is. However, between unskippable questionnaires and broken Amazon integration, it's become a little bit tedious to use. (Seriously: I've tried to sign in to Amazon several times through the Receipt Hog app, and it never gets past "Hang tight! We're connecting your account...", no matter how long I let it sit on that screen. And it's not a problem with my connection; Amazon's own app works just fine!)

Choose any of the other ones! This isn't worth the headache! Can't detect clear details on receipts & declines 80% as "unreadable". Their rewards system is complex, inaccurate, and inconsistent. Many receipts earn only sweepstakes entries. One merchant's receipt earns points with cash value sometimes, other times only sweepstakes. I've redeemed $10+ from Fetch and CoinOut, but not reached $5 with same receipts on this app, but takes 3x as long. I've tried working with support. They don't care.

Been using for quite a while now (maybe over a year) and worked perfect when I started. Then it lost the ability to connect to Amazon (few months ago)...1 star gone. Now it won't download my online receipts (few weeks ago)...another star gone. At this rate it won't be worth keeping soon. Tech support is no help. Too bad...it was fun and used to work well.

I LOVE this app to oblivion. I have one qualm about it and it's the fact that the linking accounts thing seems to be either very slow loading or not working at all (havn't tried really yet, I've gotten too impatient after a few minutes). Other than that, receipts are easy scan and the little slot machine thing is (probably on purpose) a little addictive.

Pretty good. My one complaint is that it only allows use of one email for online receipts and forwarding them hasn't worked for me. So, I either have to remember to ask for printed receipts when ordering from certain apps or try to change my email in those apps (which may or may not be possible without creating a whole new account) to be able to submit the receipts.

Good but takes way too long to get enough coins to redeem, almost twice as much receipts as the competition. And the worst part is that it constantly requires 2 factor authentication using the old fashioned app passwords. Just let us sign into our accounts and be done with it. Fetch app does everything this app does and does it better, and makes it super easy to reconnect accounts without disconnecting every single day. Using fetch instead. I tried to like this app but this ain't it.

Gives lots of fun ways to earn coins! I wish they had more daily options of being able to have for submitting receipts and things. The incentives are easy to achieve, but the process to get there takes awhile. If you're an avid shopper, then this is the app for all those receipts! Anything just takes a while. Other than that, the graphics are simple, and adding receipts are super simple to add! I love the little mascot, and I'm hoping there will be more options in getting coins quicker.

The app is decent, though you rarely get a quality prize from the rewards machine. 2 coins woohoo. Meh! I do appreciate that we get coins for surveys, but the rewards slot spin is pretty useless (I know it's free coins; it just would be nice if you got a decent prize once in a while). There's also no easy way to contact any customer service.

So easy & fun!! I just did another update so hopefully it will fix this issue, the app constantly disconnects my email. I haven't been able to connect it for couple months as it keeps saying my log in credentials appear incorrect. They aren't & no matter what I try it just won't accept & it's frustrating. I forward my email receipts repeatedly but I never see them in my receipt log!@$?? Am I getting any points or just wasting hrs of my time?

I haven't won anything yet but that's cuz I sometimes don't get all my receipts uploaded in a timely fashion and I'm aiming for at least the 15$ tier to start..I hope it works!! I've had it for over a year now and so far it's kinda cool just seemed like the points don't keep adding up the less you get those receipts in.. the online receipts work better when I email them in than when I connect to them directly the the app I've noticed..kinda more work than it's proven worth it so far.

Just started May 16th. It seems ok, except I can't earn the 50 coins for linking my email. I did everything that was needed, yet I keep getting a message that states "my credentials appear to be invalid." Yes, I can forward my e-receipts to them, but then I don't get those extra 50 coins for linking. I've tried numerous times, and it's very frustrating.

It pays for snapping receipts. Paypal or Visa. It is slow collecting the coins for the redemption, but every little bit helps. Update: For the last month, it has been classifying quite a few of my high dollar receipts as "duplicate" even when *I* know they are not because I JUST got them. When I try to correct the error, they will "process" for several days and then STILL list them as duplicate. So apparently, you are only going to give 5 coins per receipt? It is getting almost pointless...

Potential great app for earning by doing different things from doing surveys to sending e-receipts or paper receipts and much more. The only hangup is that the app does not link to your Amazon account. I also had problems linking my Gmail, but with a half hour of perseverance, finally connected. Please fix the bug(s) to make this app the best. UPDATE: Now the app has bugs and won't stay open when you go to the receipts, so I pulled one more star off. It needs an update to remove the bugs.

Very picky on what they give coins! Did surveys and didn't get the coins! Not recommending as an app! Using other apps that are more user-friendly, easier to upload receipts, better for consumer, not just for the company that creates it. Used this app for a while and has many issues, not paying for surveys, never got any redeemed items/ goods. Other apps make it more entertaining!

Keep that in mind that I'm order to submit a lot of your online receipts you will need to connect accounts so the app will have access to your information. But there is the option to forward email receipts. It is easy to take pictures of receipts & rarely did I run into technical issues. However, $10/year is not worth the security risk. I am in a household of two and don't have enough receipts to make this particular app worthwhile.
