Excellent learning ap. Great in the way it is set up. You can chose little news articles, then listen to either the whole article or just a full sentence or a word. You can also click on any word to get its translation. The audio/voices are high quality (even better than Google Translate!) and speak very clear and at a good speed (but there is even an option to slow it down if required). It would be even better if it had fiction short stories of multiple genres.

Very good app, I think the concept is great and could be even better if you improve a little thing: I find that the delay between two repetitions of a word is not really optimal, I like much more the way it works in mosalingua. For example, if you say you remember a new word well, it will be asked again the next day, if you say you remember it well again, 3 days later, etc., and if at some point you forgot it, it's back to zero.

This is by far my favourite language learning app. I feel like I learn a lot more than some of the "game-ified" ones. There are some bugs to work out - the audio playback doesn't always work, and the quiz questions use words far above an A1 level (with no option to translate.) I'd love to see that worked on, but otherwise I'm very happy. So-so on value for the price.

What's the problem with this app? You can't see all the stories except for the first 5 until you purchase them.

After barely a month of usage, I have increased my reading comprehension and vocabulary significantly . Additionally, I enjoy the stories, quizzes, and grammar notes. I can't recommend this app enough.

This app provides a quick, easy way for me to stay conversant in French...and the news articles keep it interesting.

Nice idea, but the subscription is priced wrong for me. Offer monthly. I cannot pay out such a sum in one go for an app.

I really love this app to learn, but unfortunately I have constant problems trying to load the stories. I have written to support, but haven't heard anything. It's very frustrating especially as I have bought a lifetime access which was a lot of money.

the learning functions settings were awesome. yet I am hoping that the AI pronoincing engine could be more natural. And a single sentence repeating function could be added.

New to the app, but after a week I have found it pretty good practice to keep my language skills fresh, reinforce grammar, and add some new vocabulary. An AI generated explanation for quiz errors might be helpful.

complete rubbish. Immediately want money. There are plenty of good, free, language learning resources available and this one is only reading skills anyway. It uses itself free resources with a few technical bits added on and then charges you money for it. Uninstalling now.

4.5 stars. Legit, one of the best apps you can get if you're at, or nearing, the intermediate level. However, they don't let you do it month by month (just lifetime, or pay by year), which is kind of some BS. I haven't subscribed simply out of principle. Solid app though 👍

For the price of free at basic access, this might just be the best app for my CN learning atm. Will have to use a bit longer to see but the flexibility to enable/disable pinyin, audio, translation etc so easily floored me haha.

Very good and comparably inexpensive method to improve the language you want to study (French in my case). It's a great way to learn new words and since you can save the unknown vocabulary you can then train them right after reading

First off this is a great app for learning to read French. I love how you can touch a word and it gives the definition, etc. Also the flash cards are great. I'm giving it two stars because there is no variety to the stories. I got very bored, very quickly - big regret with the purchase. It's a shame because there is tons of potential here.

The perfect app for anyone who wants to start reading literature in their target language or to take on new vocabulary. A great variety of content for all levels of learners. You can tell that lots of effort went into making it – good layout, comprehensive content, and more than enough features. Not only are the articles well-written, but they include useful quizes, keywords to study (by default, or you can select your own), and the best part: grammar explanations. Most apps lack the latter.

For such a long time, I've been looking for a way to maintain my French reading skills without going through lessons/etc or reading actual French news stories that tend to be beyond my skill level. Extremely easy to look up words, don't have to click 20 buttons and change pages like some other apps. My only complaint is the limited options for paid content. I would genuinely pay monthly if I didn't have to commit $13, if there was an option for like, B2 level stories for $5/mo or something. edit: bumped to 5 stars for engaged and thoughtful response from developers

The app has a large collection of stories with appropriate duration for reading while on a toilet. The content is about that level too - vast majority are mind-numbingly boring. I like to pretend that I am reading Xenonion news or something. Other than that the interface is decent and the app makes it very easy to look up the words you don't know so it doesn't disrupt the reading.
