This is a great app. The activities are diverse and based on strong literacy learning principles. My 5-year-old loves it, and he recognizes that it is helping him learn. It also helps him control impulses as he has to listen or think before clicking (well, he's working on it).We have to close it and restart it a lot. I still really recommend it. Update - had to remove two stars because of glitches that make it difficult to use. Curriculum is great, program has problems.

the children love using it. my only problem is that the program sometimes freezes and it loses their progress on that level

I'm working with my 6 year old on his reading skills & wanted to find a fun app resource. This app is great but is $13.99 a month after a 30-day trial.

I am fairly new to this app but so far we love it! The visuals and sounds are really colorful and captivating. I have very high hopes for this app and can't wait to see what is in store for me and my child!

It is a decent app, but as my child gets bigger he's kind of bored with it. Also, they keep raising the price, so I'm probably going to be getting rid of it soon.

My son's school uses this, and we use it together to try to reinforce his learning. I hope his teacher knows how to navigate it — I don't. Terrible UX; a complete maze of weird games and menus. Hard to use on a phone rather than a tablet (which we don't have or want), and my son makes most of his errors due to being unable to physically drag a tiny tile to the correct tiny place, not due to a misunderstanding. If you love your kids, stick to books.

There is no way to restrict access to the older programs. My daughter gets frustrated. In the junior section, the videos are too loud compared to the volume of the activities. Even the enter and back buttons are louder than the activity volume when the instructor speaks. In the older programs, where the videos play before each lesson, it is very loud but when the instructor says what to do it's quiet. Please fix and we will renew another year 🙏

Terrible app. Work initially good but after the trial period ended, paid for membership. App gets frozen and message on the screen tells to rotate the screen. But never work, tried uninstall and installed again multiple times but same issues. Content is great but lot of glitches. Unsubscribed the membership.

Mostly great. I believe is aiding our Junior, & is actively sought over TV (for learning & games). I am troubled re Pay & Play, where cost in Eggs isn't readily realised by the Player before pressing, i.e please make cost msg bigger, & when tapping Pay & Play, challenge i.e are you sure you want to spend x eggs to play, etc... Also, instructions to play each game should be freely accessible outside game. I've seen Junior pay, read instructions, leave & lost eggs for no use. Still a good app.

A great way to get the kids learning for fun. This is all they use the tablet for (they don't know much better) and love it. Some feedback - it seems to continue to run even once minimised. The sounds continue which is annoying and it seems to use more battery. Please work to sleep the app once minimised without me having to fully close it.

I have only experienced a few times when it freezes or doesn't keep a child's records of what they have done. The worst part is actually being told they are willing to help by phone... they don't answer and can't leave a message. Live chat... no one is ever there. Or e-mail... which problems can not be fixed by. It is disappointing when you really think highly of an app (with the freezes and all) but have poor experience with customer service.

Some of the pronunciations are so hard to distinguish in Fast Phonics. This is frustrating, especially when even an adult can't hear it and then she spells it wrong WITH help! Often the beginning or ending consonant is so soft that it cannot be heard at all, even with the volume up to maximum. The volume level also fluctuates a bit from activity to activity. We have been using this for a few weeks and have seen progress already. Will keep using, but hope the pronunciation improves.

It's a great learning app BUT it constantly crashes and is super slow to load between each activity. My son and I get frustrated with the strikes out when getting things wrong. Ex. Picking the letter on the board. Three strikes for the double activity. He gets through the first with maybe a strike because he accidentally hit the wrong letter. On to the second part, gets one wrong or accidentally bumps wrong letter....you have to start the WHOLE activity over. He gets frustrated and quits.

Although my youngest 5 and I love this app to help with phonics, I do think there's just too many things to be clicked where a small child can not easily do it independently, before getting to their actual lessons. Visually it's fun and engaging and the best phonics app on the play store, but there's so many options to do different things that it can become overwhelming for littles. Once they are in their lessons, it's fine but wish they had straight access to their lessons.

Although I thought the educational content of this game was great, it requires too much manual dexterity. This, not the instruction, was the source of my child's frustration. Many of the interaction points were extremely small. A lot of the time, this was clearly an intentional design choice. There was a ton of blank space on the screen, so the designers could have easily made buttons larger. Maybe this game is okay on s tablet, but it is unusable for a small child on a phone.

My daughter loves reading eggs, math seeds and fast phonics. Reading eggs has helped her immensely to learn to read and with the addition of fast phonics, it has helped her to improve her pronunciation. The biggest problem I have is with the app itself. After she completes a lesson it sometimes freezes, especially in reading eggs. The only way I've found to fix it is by shutting down the app and restarting it which is frustrating when my daughter is in the middle of something and has to start over. Some of the lessons are a bit repetitive but she hasn't seemed to mind. If the developer could fix the issue with the app freezing up then you would get 5 stars from me.

All around, it's a great learning app for kids aged 5-13 for reading skills. Math is good. I just would like to see a map for higher grades, like with reading . App doesn't crash like other ratings have suggested. The only thing that I can suggest is the stadium for playing against others is not compatible for many as there is never anyone on for competition, which leaves empty rankings on my child's progress.

My two year old enjoyed playing the games on the app. For the games where he had to pick the correct letter or number he would purposely choose the wrong one because he thought the sound it made was funny, so that was a little frustrating. The app would also regularly glitch. It would freeze in the middle of the game, play the sound for the next activity, but only show the background, and was generally glitchy. The app was installed on a "compatible device" so it was rather annoying.

It's been a good service helping our kids learn to read, but it REALLY needs an option to disable sounds for the parents. When I open the app, it plays a loud startup sound that has no purpose and I don't want to hear. If I have my media volume down to not hear it, the app nags me to turn up the volume for the "best experience." No, the best experience would be to not have the startup sound in the first place and not to be nagged that you don't like me having the app muted.

Reading Eggs has been a breath of fresh air. After using competitor's apps I can say that this program is well organized and effective. It fosters learning rather than just game playing and the placement test is spot on. Both my 2 year old and 4 year old use it and it is fun, engaging and most importantly helpful for their individual needs and development. I love being able to track their progress and also be involved when they play or feeling confident in letting them navigate the game alone.
