This used to be my favorite app of all time. I wanted something that locked my phone down to supplement my own self-control: with this app, my phone was no longer all that fun, just useful for what I actually needed. Then, I got a buggy update: 1. The scheduled breaks don't consistently start anymore. 2. Got rid of profiles, so if I want to add a new app, it takes several minutes to add it to each scheduled break. 3. New UI = can't access the bottom app.

I use this app to prevent me from accessing game apps and social media apps during times that I need to be not distracted by those things - over night when I should be sleeping, and in the morning when I need to focus on getting ready for the day. Being able to set multiple scheduled breaks, when a scheduled break repeats, and what apps are allowed during each scheduled break really makes this app quite useful. It's not exactly what I was looking for, but it fills the role.

I've been using QualityTime for years and it is very helpful for my easily distracted mind. I use the tracking information daily to review how I spent my time, or to figure out when I did something in particular. I personally have not had any problems with this app. I only have one small complaint/request: Can the list of allowed apps that you can access during a break please be organized alphabetically? It's hard to find what you need when they are in completely random order. Thanks!

I like the feature of choosing exempt apps because it's less of a choice when choosing apps. But it's gimpy and takes when it shouldn't, and blocks apps it shouldn't. It seems to work fine until ending a block early then that's when it goes wrong. The worst thing is the ads. After you prematurely end a time block a game ad takes over your phone. I can handle banner ads but take-over ads are the worst. Clean it up and fix the glitches and you got a nice app.

Used to enjoy this app, but now I'm bothered by the constant notification showing up on top. If you could make it so that it's hidden when the notification bar is up, like it was before this big fancy update, that would be great! I don't know when it happened but at some point this app started killing my phone's battery. I turned off the app for several weeks and had no problems with battery usage, up until I turned the app on again, and suddenly battery drainage occurred!

This app was great. Until it stopped working. It stopped tracking my time, so I uninstalled and reinstalled. Then I needed to reset my password, but both times the link they emailed didn't work. Later: I tried doing a password reset, and it worked. So I am able to use it again. Overall, I really like how this app works, especially to track trends. Unfortunately I had to start over with trending when I reinstalled it.

I love the idea of the app but it has a lot of bugs and kinks! If would be super helpful if it tracked active usage. When my phone is unlocked, it tracks it as usage, however, nothing is being used. I have my lock screen set to turn on after 10 minutes of inactivity so everytime it is in the waiting to lock phase, it's tracked as time used which makes the numbers super inacurate. I think the app has great potential! I hope they continue to update and improve!

great app, has really helped me track what i do on my phone, only complaint is that it's not completely accurate. for example, this morning i woke up and it said i already had two hours of screen time today. i checked to see what that was and it turns out it thought i was using my calculator between 3 and 5 am. also happens a lot with Spotify when it's running in the background

I have used this app for years, but the latest update is just not working for me. The app usage data won't load, no matter how long I wait for the graphs or schedules to come up. The daily notifications no longer take me to the correct page. My daily alerts haven't been working. Other reviewers are saying their time-out feature isn't working, which I haven't used recently because this feature successfully helped me train myself out of random app clicking so I no longer need it. Sad to see this.

For breaks, the app drawer is disorganized. It takes time to find what I'm looking for. DPSS mobile app doesn't seem to open without QualityTime opening back up over top of the app. I'm starting to want to look for something else. I'm thinking about looking for an app launcher which has a similar profile feature. I like how notifications are stored for later. I like how time limit notifications work and how I can snooze notifications. There are exceptions to the time an app had been open if I haven't been putting my attention on it the whole time it was open, so snooze time options would be nice. I like how I can take breaks manually for a certain number of minutes rather than setting up a rigid calendar schedule. I can't split screen apps because I can't use the recent apps drawer.

I tried using this for about a month, maybe longer. I don't feel it tracked the usage time accurately at all: it would average 11 hours, but a google tracking tool captured an average of 2 hours. It was also annoying how there was CONSTANTLY a notification of quality time (with the inaccurate amount of time), and I couldn't swipe it away. It just didn't feel helpful, insightful or encouraging to create habit change.

The most recent update completely ruined the app. Now it won't let me use ANY apps during breaks, even when I have my "profiles" of apps allowed in the breaks all carefully selected. It also won't let me leave a break with the 30 second timer. It will count down to 26, then stop. This effectively disables my whole device, ALL phone calls included, until the break is over. If this doesn't get fixed in the next update, I don't see any point in keeping the app on my phone.

The app works well for the most part in terms of blocking app but I've found the UX to be so clunky. When you make a Scheduled Break, you have to pick a "profile" of apps you want to allow. Where the menu to create a profile live? Somewhere deep in the Settings and not on the Scheduled Break creations screen. This app should be mostly set and forget and each time I make changes I have to relearn where everything is. Not very intuitive set up but still effective after I figured the screens out!

I see a lot of people complaining about the app overestimating time spent on the phone. To that end I have two specific feedbacks. 1. The app records time when an app is open but the screen is off. This should not be the case, or at least there should be an option to disable this. I often have a messaging app open but I'm not using my phone (screen turned off). 2. Should enable me to remove something from my usage history, for whatever reason (wrong estimate, didn't want that app tracked, etc)

This app used to be great and I've used it for almost a year, but the most recent update made it trash. The update makes it so when exiting a self-imposed "break" from you phone, you watch a 15 or 30 second ad instead of the old 60 second or 5 minute timer. This makes it too easy to exit early, or if you don't have internet it makes it impossible. Earlier today I tried to exit, but lt would not let me. I even restarted my phone. Eventually my only option was to uninstall, losing all my settings.

Inconsistent tracking. This app stops tracking everything every couple days for me even though it has every necessary permission, notification, and no restrictions from battery saving. Usually, I just unclick and reclick the permissions when I notice it stopped tracking (which can take a couple days for me anyway) but I have no way to reset it this time. I'd rather have an app that works as advertised 100% of the time, anyway. Loving YourHour so far.

This is a great app. It MOSTLY does an accurate job of recording time and screen unlock occurrences. Like others, I wish the app blocking choice included a 'check all/uncheck all' option, rather than having to check all apps that you want allowed. EDIT: After a month+, I am raising to 5 stars. It has a few minor bugs, but I have made great progress reducing my screen time. Started out limiting to 2.5 hours, and now under 2. I don't count some apps (maps), and drastically limit others (fb).

Great to manage time. Love profile creation for each mood and flexibility. Although watch for Alarm app. Wish there was a paid app with no ads on it. It's a hassle dealing with the ads on the bottom. I'd add optional calm music to it. Still discovering. Update: this app was a five star for me. But the exit function does not work anymore. Tried different ways, my phone is not accessible for any functions anymore during relax time unless I add all apps to the exceptoon list, bummer.

I had Quality Time for years, and it was great. It was simple and straightforward and it did what it was supposed to do. Within the last few months it's become unusable. It's laggy, it slows down my phone, and it only sporadically tracks screentime. I uninstalled it to try another screentime app. It's too bad, because when it was good I liked it. Shame to see developers ruin a good thing.

Would be nice to have an option to duplicate my breaks, or group my unblocked app selections so that I can set new alarms with only minor adjustments ETA: I figured it out! I had been trying to access apps through the home screen like normal, instead of using the grid like button on the right of the Qualiry Time home screen. Works now! Seeing the same issue I'm having in other reviews - permitted apps are not actually permitted during breaks.
